The night proved uneventful but the biting cold made sleeping difficult. Your dreams, if you can all them that, were mostly of a eldritch pale blue skinned woman with a maniacal laughter wielding a menacing sword. "Your soul is mine!" she shouts and stabs you. You are jolted awake and you find yourself in your rented room at the inn. You suit up and head for the common room. Unless you have some other preparations you wish to include... You leave Winterhaven behind and head for the Keep. The sun refuses to light your way as it hides behind dark storm clouds. The occasional bird and animal stop to watch you pass but for the most part the road to the Keep is deserted. After a couple of hours of hard riding, the Keep can be seen over the horizon like a dessicated corpse hand clawing its way out of the earth.

For Old Chorro Spoiler: No. She is fresh in a manner of speaking. No rot there.
Esmeralda returns from the kitchen, her clothes smell of the burnt food. "Sorry about that Alasandro. You wanted a description of the man right? He was a tall man, about six feet, lean and muscular. He had long black tied in a pony tail. Streaks of grey can be seen at his temples. He had a moustache and beard, both well trimmed. He had a hawk-like nose, pale complexion." "His eyes though were the most peculiar feature of his face, they were a very clear blue like that of a cloudless summer sky. I got the impression that he could see right through me. Never felt so exposed." Insight Roll, DC 25 Spoiler: You suspect that delivery was not the first and last time Esmeralda observed the delivery man.
Lavender Glow wrote: "Always the man of direct action, Genryu Yeegar," Lavender replies with a smile. "But first, friend Amos, I would hear the answer to Young Chorro's question -- who brought this letter?" "Brought it? Esmeralda, dear, can you come here a moment?" From the kitchen comes Amos' daughter, Esmeralda. She was just a kid when you left Winterhaven. Now, she was a woman. "Yes, father," Esmeralda sees you, "Oh, hello, it is nice to see you again." "Esmeralda, the letter that you received a fortnight ago, do you recall who brought it?" "Some man, father. He asks if he could leave the letter here. To which I answered: 'Yes.' Then he presses a heavy gold coin to my hand saying I have helped him a lot. Why? Is there anything amiss?"
Amos, like a good general, directs two barmaids to assist the party. Mugs of ale and glasses of wine are brought as well as several platters of food. The unusual weather clearly has not impaired the inn's fine larder, yet. Though the fact that you are the only ones in the inn helps in that regard. Outside, snowfall has gotten stronger, while the wind can be heard whistling. It will be a very cold night. I think I already know who's paying the bill?
Lam Thovir wrote: The thick dwarven fingers of Lam Thovir grip the letter with determination. "Thank you, no others eh?" he let's out a small smile, "It would appear my dwarven legs are not as short as most would have me believe. Is there a table I can take while I await the arrival of my old friends?" My palm is shortening your post unfortunately so I left the info vague for now Amos directs Lam's attention to a large circular table near the fire place with eight chairs. "I trust that this will meet with your approval."
IC Thread; Last One to Arrive Pays the Bills :D I just have a short lunch meeting. I'll be back.
I am the Undying One. I have lived for a very long time… through the Age of Gold, the Age of Silver, the Age of Bronze and the Age of Iron. It is now the Age of Mortals and I am weary beyond endurance. But I cannot surrender… not until someone worthy comes to take up the mantle. ----------------------------------------------------------------------- Having promised to meet again with the others ten years after your last adventure, you can’t wait to see them. You want to be the first one into the Whispering Willows, remembering full well the party’s covenant that the last one in pays the bills. As you travel through the Nentir Vale, you note the weird climate. It is the middle of spring and all you can see are wintershorn branches. Snow still drapes the Gardbury Downs. The air is cold, the sky is overcast, and every so often flurries still drift down from the chilly white skies. Ice still lingers in the ruts that dot the King’s Road that winds its way to the broad hill crowned by the walled village of Winterhaven. The alabaster fangs of Cairngorm tower appear behind the snow-draped village. The settlement’s walls and palisades are slick with clinging ice. As you pass by the thatched homes surrounding the village, they seem abandoned. When you enter Winterhaven’s gates, you see that a shanty town of makeshift huts clutters the inner courtyard. The local populace is gathering within the walled town for shelter from the cold. Winterhaven is not the place you remembered. Over there to your right is the Whispering Willows. Do you enter now? Alright, order of arrival at the Whispering Willows shall be determined by the order of posting. For the First One In Spoiler: Amos, the owner and cook of the Whispering Willows, sees you and greets you by name. He says how he has missed you and your friends and how proud he is every time he heard tale of your exploits and those of your friends. Then he stops and says he has a message for you.
He hands you a letter sealed by a dark red wax marked by a stylized “K.” Breaking the seal, the letter says: Heroes of Winterhaven,
Sir Keegan,

We'll wait for the update for the Builder. For Laz Spoiler:
I haven't been able to draw up details yet on Winterhaven post Keep on the Shadowfell. However, the area can be described as a farming country suddenly beset by climate change, i.e. snow storms in the middle of summer. If anyone feels that no background option suits your character, I encourage you to make one and run it by me for approval.

Pat, my copy of arcane power has not yet arrived. However, I find it logical to grant formulae as part of a character's level advancement. Alright, just post your finalized stats onto your profiles. Thanks.
