Picks asphalt out of road rash

Man that scene would make a great movie!

We should pitch it to J. Michael Straczynski and see if he can put it in the new World War Z movie!

I vote Jack Black to play Sgt. Curtin.

Also ... Check out this Concept art for the new movie ... Niiiice!

HOLY SHIT! World War Z movie! That's one of my favorite books!

On another note, I've always pictured Sarge being played by Joe Flanigan. Jack Black doesn't seem like the military type to me.

Someone should novelise this game...

I just always remember his bit part in Mars Attacks playing the @sshat older brother of Lukas Haas' character who gets blasted on national TV by the Martians. He did a pretty good job of an Army d1ckwad in that movie.

Not often, no, and I'm not sure. I haven't met her dad, and it seems an impolite question to ask.

Smokin' though.

You know, my view is probably skewed due to a small and biased sample population*, but it seems to me that Canadia has a hell of a lot of hot women.

*I've met like a dozen or so Canadian women, and more than half of those were either sports groupies or athletes at a bar during the 2000 Summer Games that a mate and I tried unsuccessfully to pick up.

Pat, I know after the last 2 weeks I may not seem the best choice, but I would be interested.

Sorry for my absence. I got snowed under with a buttload of take home work and then I was sick. I still got online occasionally, but not to the point where I could fully devote myself to PbPing. I probably should have told everyone, but just got lazy.
I am back now though and keen to get back into the swing of things. I am at work right now (well, having lunch and using the crappy super slow McDonalds Free WiFi), but tonight I will be endeavouring to catch up on all of my PbPs, starting with Z-Day and Opal City.

If you will have me in Silver Rose I will attempt to get caught up and make a character by the end of this week. If you are full or are dubious about me after my dissapearing shenannigans then I will also understand.

It's kind of like the Brazil effect, but with less booty.

Take 1/3 or so WASP, 1/3 Normans, then throw in a mix of people from the rest of the world, and you have an out-breeding sandbox from all hell.

And the girls who travel tend to be the ones who take care of themselves. The fatties are sitting at home watching Oprah.

Don't forget the Scots-Irish. After the Highland Clearances, that mass migration of Picts and Celts landed in two places: The Carolinas and Nova Scotia. The Carolinians went on to fashion Appalachan/Southern culture and tame the American West. The Nova Scotians remained more bottled in with the Quebecois on their side, but are now flooding the West Coast of Canada, fleeing the rampant unemployment of the Maritimes.

Well, perhaps he's setting up some interesting challenge for you. After all, how fun would life be if we had a pile of gold and sat around?

For that matter, I'm sure Sgt. Curtin, Mike, Sam, Dave and Cord would all gleefully throttle YOU if they knew you were the architect of their sucky lives ..LOL.

Though I do agree, he/she/it seems a bit sadistic these days. Must not be getting laid ...

Just one mutation away.

Mothman wrote:

Just plain old hypersensitivity.

I have always had a wicked sense of smell (living in China is a treat - land of many odors that it is) and I guess I just knocked my poor olfactory apparatus a little too hard.

My previous allergies (cats and plastic, or the chemical seepage from cheap plastic I should say) are now heightened as well.

The doctors theorize that this might go away - operative words being 'theorize' and 'might'.

I used to have a T-Shirt that said: I do whatever the voices in my head tell me to do.

Whenever I wore it my wife would introduce herself thus: "Hi, I'm the voices in his head".

This afternoon my friend went out with me, and at the last minute he calls and says his boss is coming.

Now I'm thinking the his boss wants to practice his English with me or something, but when I walk out of my building my friend is there with his girlfriend.

I love this PbP you fellows have going on here. I stumbled on it a couple of days ago and now fully caught up. This game would make a great movie/book. I do have a question though. I know this is a d20 modern game but what source books are you using? This is giving me ideas for a game I might be interested in running. Also this game sure has it's moments. You really play off each other real well. I don't know if these have made it into your soundtrack or not but someone should look up (srry can't get links at work) but Korn's make me bad(the video is good) Black Sabbath/Ozzy Osbourne - Mr. Crowley, and maybe after a BBZG Dream Theater - Pull me Under. I have always imagined whenever there are people/things looking or the thought of someting looking at me in a game Rockwell's Somebody's watching me pops into my head and this open field area with the theme of zombies you just have to feel the song rings true. just some unsolicited 2cp.
[/gatecrash]

You're welcome to gatecrash anytime and I accept the praise on behalf of everyone here. Man I can't imagine reading through - you must be a hell of a scanner.

It's all an amazing coincidence of people riffing off each other, I think.

And I've got a list of songs waiting for their moment and YEA! Sabbath, Ozzy, and Korn are all on there.

Not really a scanner. Just long weekends 12/hr shifts on Sat. and Sun. and the graveyard on Mon. and Tues. with internet access. Gotta love security and being in college.

I just realized... the Zombies probably have DR against Bludgeoning Weapons don't they. :(
So pretty much all of Sam's Tonfa strikes are gonna do zip. I'd need to continually roll a 5 or 6 to do 1 or 2 points of damage.

Glad you're enjoying it.

Not sure what books the Kruel man is using. I'm just refering to the d20 Modern SRD, as I don't actually own the books, unfortunately.
