I'd buy that for a dollar!
A DOLLAR??!! Hmph! These are worth WAYYYYY more than a DOLLAR! I sir, am insulted!

Get over it sister. You're only worth about 3.50....and I gave that to the Lochness Monster!

Hi, James, do you or any of your fellows in Pathfinder's staff know and like the masterpiece videogame series Legacy Of Kain? Did it inspire anything in Golarion or in rule mechanics of some sort?

As far as I know, no one here at Paizo played "Legacy of Kain." I certainly didn't.

If I were to pick the top videogame franchise inspirations for Golarion for me, the top five would be (in no particular order):

1: Baldur's Gate
2: Dragon Age
3: Fallout
4: World of Warcraft
5: Jade Empire

On this note...

When you played Fallout, did you blow up Megaton? If you did, did you have the horrible moral dilemma I did?

Magik is overrated and is probably using vanacian spellcasting and is horribly broken and doesn't even work in MY game and you need to change it.

:P

Well, I am getting good at this beating up reptiles thing. :P

Hey, whatever you and Solnes call your "Happy-Fun-Time" is between you and her there buddy.

;P

Lately she has been refering to it as "character development"... or "HOT DAMN". lol
Mine has been refering to: "Really? Now.......? At the Tigers Game?" :P
Damn, you're brave. Downtown Detroit???

Not really in Downtown Detroit...just at the tigers game...in a bathroom. >:)

Are there any plans to reprint/make a new edition of the Pathfinder Campaign Setting?

The entire reason I played D&D in middle school.

The entire reason I play Pathfinder now.... ;P

A good reason to run a Pathfinder game instead of a D&D game...

I meant D&D in a blanket term. :P

Knew I should have brought my weed whacker....

Because of the stigmata that D&D has, I would take those concerns seriously. Most families won't look up the info and might just go off of the old, tried and true reasons for not having the kids play the game.

No. Don't do it. You just know at some point some parent is going to freak out about something and it could cost you your job.

Just my 2 cp.

What about the old SSI games. No joke, those things were just plain old excellent.

I love the old gold box games, which is why I'm brutally harsh on the "new" ones and don't think they're anything Atari should be proud of.

Atleast no one has come to D&D Heroes defense. :)

I'll come to it's defense!!

While the game itself wasn't anything wonderful, it happened to be the game that got my wife interested in D&D. While we were playing it, she asked me is the pen & paper game like this? I told her no, it's much better. She then replied then why aren't we playing that? And thats what started a wonderful, wonderful 8 years. :D

My vote is for Jazdia Dax, although Keylahr, Kes, Intendent Kira and Lt Illyia all get honorable mention!

I think it might just be an issue with my gaming group - we've had since we started a long-standing rule of "The DM can and will use anything in the house and on his/her computer against you, feel free to equip yourself equivalently" or of course its vice-versa "The DM can and will use anything you have access to against you". So problems players cause by something possibly being overpowered are often negated by the DM just turning it against them.

Again, that's just my group, might not work so well for others.

I do this as well. My players hate it, but only because I'm better at it then them. :D

Has anyone else noticed that the same people post over and over again in the Pathfinder hate threads? My favorite was the guy that posted in one thread bragging about how he could build a fighter that had a +50 bonus to his damage rolls complaining that paladin's Smite was too powerful because at 15th level they had a +30 bonus to damage rolls against certain types of enemies.

Wait, there's Pathfinder hate threads???? On here?
