Steelers play the Chargers this week. Sunday night game.

Right; we play Steelers the 13th I think; its all over the lions websight; wonder why they are pumping up that game and not the Bears who are a worthy game and very important to win.

wow; Lions really need some special teams defense; the Bears kick returns just killed us; sheesh.

Heh. The 1-3 Raiders make me realize I'm in the right dimension, although Miami being 3-1 is a lot better than I expected.

And just when it looked like things couldn't get any worse for the Raiders...

That was only a matter of time.

Vikings - Packers; should be a great game. Hooters anyone?

I had heard that Farve might not play this one. It won't be worth watching if the Packs can't beat up on the Brett girl.

Dark Archive

I sure hope Farve remembers to throw to the guys in purple tonight. :)

Where you at in MI?

Hey Farve can throw to the white all he wants ;) we'll throw driver as a safety then it could be like old times. If you haven't guessed I am a packers fan, and one of my roommates is a vikings fan this is going to get fun tonight.

Sorry; am from Detroit; but now live in ABQ, NM

Man, that first quarter was ugly. I didn't watch much past that because the kids wouldn't go to bed until I turned it off. It was an exciting game though.

Stayed up until 6 a.m. to watch the whole game... yes, truly an exciting game (and historical too) - Jared Allen is a machine!

So overall it's been a great (extended) football weekend for me. Pats won, Bears won (nay, crushed Detroit) and Denver is frickin' 4-0 (beating Dallas! How sick is that?)! My top 3 teams did good and a great MNF game, that's the stuff!

Somebody from Europe watches American football? I'm shocked...

I'm not. When I lived in England, the pubs in the town I lived were open all night on Sundays so that everyone could get their football fix. I admit to watching games at the pub until 2 am and having to be to work at 5 am on Monday morning.

Not only that, I've played it for 6 years, even for a quarter season in L.A. (with the Inglewood Blackhawks). So yeah, we know, and love, American football over here too. Wish I had tickets for the Pats vs. Bucs game in London on the 25th (make that two tickets, one for me and one for a friend of mine who's a huge Bucs fan (so I can tease him even more when my Pats defeat them :-D)).

I have to give props to the Viking defense, they gave my fantasy team some much needed points. I actually won my matchup even after I managed to forget to deactivate the three players who had bye weeks this week.

I think my Lions did pretty good even though they lost; they had a lot of chances they didnt capitalize on for this or that reason; but my word; went into the game without 5 of our starters including our prime QB; then lost 4 more starters in the game; darn proud of my boys to do so well without 9 of the team starters but they have to do something about protecting the QB; sheesh; Culpepper got sacked 7 times for 57 yards lost; on one drive; got sacked three times in a row; hard to win a game that way. Still; very tuff game; bet it was one of the best to watch this week.

How about those Broncos? :)

I confess; I didn't think we'd be doing this well.

I think a lot of people forgot that all Kyle Orton did in Chicago when he started was win games. Dude isn't flashy, he isn't the sexy choice, but he makes really good decisions and minimizes mistakes. Couple him with a decent running game and a killer defense (look at the Bears' squad the year Grossman broke his leg), and he takes you to the playoffs.

I'm not saying Denver is Super Bowl material, but they will make some noise in the playoffs I think...

I like his his work ethic and team attitude, and it's nice to be in the plus column on turnover ratio.

Yeah, but I couldn't watch the game. The uniforms were horrid.

+1 Throwback jerseys need to be thrown back.

Dark Archive

Niners got Anthony Davis at pick 11.

Am I ready for some football? I asure am mate! The World Cup is less than 2 months away! ;)

Liberty's Edge

Well, guess I'm a Bronco's fan now.

Scarab Sages

FOOTBALL!!! WOOT!!! I can't decide which I'm more excited about this year - college or pro.

On the pro side, the Saints have some great potential. Looking forward to seeing how Ingram makes a difference.

On the college side - LSU is starting off ranked 4th, although I don't know how long that'll last. Jordan Jefferson and several other players have some potential legal troubles that could seriously effect the team.

On the other hand, the SEC has 8 ranked teams so far. That's double any other conference. No wonder I keep hearing that Texas A&M wants to join.

Dark Archive

Not as big of a college football fan but I am pro football fan.

GO PATRIOTS !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

GEAUX TIGERS! Awesome game!

Here we go, Steelers!!! I love the tri-annual Crowbar Bowl against the Ravens. Bloody, nasty, smashmouth football at it's finest! Goodell has a special bank account reserved for the fines from this game.

Too bad Pathfinder game day is at the same time as PSU takes on Alabama. Hoping for a giant upset at the whiteout. WE ARE.....!

While I would find that very funny, the chances of it happening are, sadly, slim.

If literally, wishing in one hand, and shitting in another would bring this about,.....I would, theoretically, be your huckleberry.

Just a few more days until opening game of the pros! WOOT!
