The Pale Butcher steps forward with measured treads, blade raised high for the first to dare her wrath.

The weight of her sword was the same, but the weight of her scars felt very different. There were nearly as many in this memory, but each one carried a memory of a battle hard fought, not of... darker things.

There's enough time in transit that the Pale Butcher doesn't need to hold forth with impromptu explanations, and can instead put pen to paper once her thoughts are gathered. Nonetheless she shares the whole of the grim tale of the Ironbellows, highlighting the unsustainable nature of selfish butchery.

Butch nods uncertainly, "I am sure that we will be able to procure you a copy. It's only fair in exchange for the wisdom we have found here."

A quick armored elbow gives the Pale Butcher a little more room to swing her blade, but the cramped quarters still aren't where she does her best work...

Butch considers sheltering behind the cave wall, but quickly discards the idea, bursting forth from her cover to bring her blade down on the closest goblin in a vicious chop - shattering into pieces a suspiciously goblin shaped stalagmite!

"We were fanning out," a note of hurt is mostly muffled in Butch's reply, "To cover more ground."

The Pale Butcher raises her fist in a hard stopping motion.

"Little feet, that way."

The Pale Butcher creeps forward with surprising grace for her bulk and the heft of her armor, though she's still far from silent.

She watches especially for any writing or images - anything that might be Eylisia's 'noble.'

Butch has no need to make a special effort to hood herself. As pictured :-)

Her own experiences with queens and ladies hadn't exactly engendered a lot of trust. Knights could be just as bad. So while Mercutio and Dexter made with the pretty words, the Pale Butcher watched the Crocus Knight's eyes. She didn't seem afraid, outnumbered as she was. Was she brave? Foolish? Just that dangerous?

Butch can't help but start as the squashy horrors approach, but she masters her fear and presses forward through the foliage, raising her sword high in an executioner's chop.

The Pale Butcher knows enough about the fey in this part of the world to be concerned about strangers on the road, but she leaves it to Dexter to make his determinations.

That would be fantastic! Butch has a lot of survivability for her level, but when playing up...

Butch will likewise replenish her alchemical flasks.

"In truth it was exactly what you might expect. Greed, betrayal, and a willingness to slaughter innocents rather than let those things be unveiled."

The Pale Butcher doesn't react to the gourd right away, first scanning the room to see if any sort of objects looked as though they might have summoned this thing. Not seeing anything likely, she instead studies the creature's behavior, trying to see if there are any patterns beside mischief. Then she raps the pommel of her sword against the wall to draw its attention, slicing the edge of her hand through the air in a hopefully calming, final gesture.

Butch will wait to see if Vin's telekinetic blasts finish off the swarm before hurling her last flask into the bugs!

The Pale Butcher hustles forward, anxious unease showing through despite her mask, and hurls her last flask of fire into the swarm!

"Someone get those things off the robes!" The Pale Butcher bellows, her voice much louder and more vibrant when death and destruction surround her. She snatches a vial from her belt as she strides forward, hurling it at one of the swarms!

Butch keeps her own counsel, but is glad to hear Manathiel's expertise. Her demeanor, normally far from warm, has grown even more taut as she returns home. "As long as we stay out of the Shingles we should be able to avoid the worst of the imps and dragons." She shifts uneasily in her armor. "It makes sense Korvosa is where we can find the lessons of sins past; their scars run deep here."

You get replays from GM stars, but might also have them from things like some past surveys, and probably have some from when they added replays to accounts after PF2 launched. You should be able to see if you have them in your Organized Play tab.

These 1-5 quest arcs don't tend to be the highest-risk scenarios ever.

The Pale Butcher is an all too familiar sight to the victims of Queen Ileosa's reign, a tall powerfully built woman in gleaming silver plate, though her cloak and plumage have been redyed a pale yellow instead of the red common the the Gray Maidens.

A heavy-bladed falchion with a black ribbon tied to its pommel rests at her belt. When she greets her new companions, she stands rigidly, always seeming ready to respond to whatever threats might be conjured up at a moment's notice. "Hello. I am the Pale Butcher."

"I have only recently joined this society, and my sponsor suggested that I would do well to learn the history of my new organization. I know Korvosa quite well already." Her voice seems almost hollowed out by the muffling echoes of her helm, but she sounds sincere enough.

The Pale Butcher's voice and stance seem far more self-assured and comfortable while debriefing as a group than when speaking on her own behalf. "Well enough. Magali seemed pleased, and her agents were able to extract the Snakes' unpleasantness from their warehouse; the Leper has been executed, and his foulness stopped; the Kortos have been reminded of the dangers of dealing with known villains.

"This will hardly bring an end to the Aspis's dealings here, but at least we have loosened their coils."

The Pale Butcher rolls her shoulder uncomfortably to work out the kinks as she shrinks down to her merely amazonian stature.

"Someone else should calm them. I don't like dogs."

The Pale Butcher shifts uncomfortably at Cillian's thanks, her nervous fidgets only magnified by her current stature. "You don't- I'm... You would have done the same for me. Think nothing of it." Gratefully she seizes on Raimei's actions and busies herself with cleaning and inspecting her blade before resheathing it.

The Butcher takes a carefully measured half-pace back, and her blade catches the Aspis Snake mid-leap!

"Enough!" The Pale Butcher shoulders into the door frame as she swings for the bowman's head in a lethally practiced blow.

The Pale Butcher curses under her breath, snapping off the arrow in her thigh to get it out of her way, and swings her blade in a low whistling arc for the swordsman in the doorway!

Not sure of the exact speed this will allow, so I'll move closer to Blue if kosher.

The Pale Butcher stepped onto the locked elevator platform, and gingerly lowered herself to the floor beneath, squeezing between the walls of crates to form a second line of defense.

Not having done a deep dive, I'm assuming later Shelyn shenanigans? There's some glaive-specific stuff out there that can be fun, or just using the favored weapon of your deity for character reasons. Otherwise I usually just go with a longspear if I want a reach-y investigator.

I don't think Investigators are normally proficient with them, which would account for a -2.

Butch chugs her potion, and takes off towards the sound of cracking wood, growing larger and larger with each step!

Butch rolls her shoulder impatiently, and gives a curt nod. "Fine. We should still leave them one clear path though. Otherwise there's no reason for them not to still surround us."

And those stairs are blocked off with crates!

Butch grasps a potion in her off hand while she waits, but is otherwise willing to see what light their foes bring. Could go bad if they all have darkvision, but otherwise we'll have a light advantage. ::shrug:: If other folk don't want to chance it though, that's fine by me.

The Pale Butcher keeps her sword low, but calls out in a challenging tone nonetheless, "Stop right there. Who are you, and why are you trying to sneak into this warehouse?"
