At Gracie's words, the monstrous form chuckles - a strange gurgling sound;

The brute shifts, flexing its bifurcated thews...

Blinded, The Devourer halts, its huge mouth opening wide and long sinuous tongue flickering into the air, almost tasting the space around it...

At the same time the monstrous voice echoes within all nearby;

{Blinded as I am. I can still see. A Giant bound. An old man shackled. Ware you next move children lest they are swallowed forever...}

No worries chief - happens to us all.

Despite its bulk, the giant abomination makes to avoid the holy shackles...

The towering abomination seemingly does not react to the challenges from Cesarina and Oz.

Instead the fearsome maw stretches wider as the armoured agent is consumed with sickening crunch of polycarbons, flesh and bone, all overlaid with the keening scream of the UNISON agent...

At it eats the Lovecraftian brute addresses you all, its blunt voice echoing through your heads rather than emitting from the tooth filled, biting mouth;

Wee bit of development here - came up with the notion The Devourer communicates with mystical sendings rather than vocal words - so it can eat and speak at the same time :)
