Male Elf Oracle of Nature 6

I'll be on a cruise this week, so please forgive me for not posting.

Male Elf Oracle of Nature 6

Thayalh left the ring alone since it appeared to be harmless, or even beneficial, to the captain. Looking around he found a cloth, either a hand towel or piece of clothing most likely, and covered the statue before hefting it under one arm. "Good captain, I'll be borrowing this for the time being." Not that he expected a coherent response.

Exiting he grabed the poisoned drink and brought it to Gurthock. "Careful, this is the drink that seems to have poisoned our captain. Perhaps you could track down where it originated from before someone else gets sick? I need to converse with our Mage. Do you require an assistance out here with the ship?" Not that he would stay himself when he had a magic artifact of sorts to address. He would send out one of the others.

Entering Mr. Hawk's cabin he looked around the room. If there is any open drink he would cast detect poison before speaking. He set the statue on a table and pulled off the cloth.  "You were correct, master monk. There was a similar statue. Ansha, did you likewise detect divining magic? These may have been how we were so easily found and besieged."

I'm okay skipping if nothing else of note will happen, though if given the chance Thayalh would still prefer to push forward thay turn back

Thayalh knew he wasn't the expert on the arcane that Ansha was, but he took the time to try yo identify the magics in the room. He started with the captain's ring. Normally he was unconcerned with another's minor trinkets, but not when there was treason about. He took her hand in his and looked for any distinctive mark or design, and tried to interpret the magical energies of the piece. He next moved to the mantle and attempted to identify the magic there as well.

For the ring
Know(Arcana) 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 1 = 4
Spellcraft 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (8) + 10 = 18

For the statue
Know(planes) 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (15) + 7 = 22
 Know(Arcana) 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (12) + 1 = 13
Spellcraft 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (12) + 10 = 22

Thayalh nodded in agreement to the half-Orc, but being less than thrilled at the plan busied himself by casting detect poison on himself and his elk. However by the time Durant returned he was feeling much more cooperative. "Of course, master monk," and with that he went directly to see the captain.

He knocked lightly before entering the cabin. First he surveyed the captain's condition. He was still very suspicious of the current conditions of the ship. Speaking lightly he said "Captain? Are you well enough to speak? If I may, I have need to look around your room." While searching the oracle cast detect poison on both the captain as well as any consumable goods in the room, and detect magic on the space before paying full attention to any statues in the room.

Perception1d20 ⇒ 11
Heal1d20 + 4 ⇒ (16) + 4 = 20

"Poisoned?" Thayalh walked and leaned against the railing with one hand on his steed's neck and peered at the ocean below, though with his damaged eyes he could not see far. "And this man jumped into the churning sea after the monster that crippled his crew? Was he not also attacked by the creature while it was on ship?" The Elf was suspicious of the this Mr. Hawk - but left the matter without making an accusation for a moment when the crew wasn't around. "Perhaps we should have expected Asmodeus to have known about our endeavor. I, for one, already knew this would be an impossible task, and the blood of my people will not go unrevenged. I do not think a retreat will provide us anything other than a fresh crew for the Fiend to attack.

"Ansha, have you seen these children of the grave move with such speed before?" Even though he was suspicious of any elf who would spend as much time with humans as she had, he arcane training would make as likely as any of knowing the nature of the undead.

Thayahl moved several feet behind the half-Orc, with Springrunner close to his leftside and his magic rod clenched in his hand. Raising his hands and casting a spell, a faint shimmer condensed into a silvery floating Elven Curved Blade. With a twist of his wrist the sword flew through the air to attack a zombie towards the back of the pack (though no more than 50ft away from him).

Thayahl casts spritual weapon.
Lasts 7 rounds, 1d8+2, +4 to hit, 18-20 crit.

1d20 + 4 ⇒ (11) + 4 = 15
1d8 + 2 ⇒ (3) + 2 = 5

Thayalh methodically made his way from his cabin to the hold where he untethered his mount. It wasn't by his request that Springrunner had been penned up, but instead it was the wishes of the captain. As far as the elf was concerned his Elk belonged in his cabin with him. Once they were reunited they made their way to meet their companions.

Intiative 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (2) + 3 = 5
Know (Religion) 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (16) + 1 = 17

Male Elf Oracle of Nature 6

2d6 ⇒ (6, 2) = 8

Male Elf Oracle of Nature 6

Speaking of which, I haven't rolled its hitpoints yet:

6d8 + 24 ⇒ (8, 1, 2, 1, 7, 6) + 24 = 49

Do we reroll 1's for mounts?

Thayalh followed out behind Pernella, likewise wanting to collect his things. He quickly made his way to his own room in silence. From there he would go and find Springrunner, for the truth was the wellbeing of his trusted friend was worth more to him than those with whom he traveled.

Thayalh rose to his feet and swifty circled the table and came up behind Yuril. Arcane words fell from his lips as he placed a hand flat on her back.

"This ward will protect you from it's touch," the elf instructed quickly, "As long as you do not attack or approach it."

Thayalh positions Yuril between him and the shadow-man in order to gain some protection from Protection from Evil spell he just cast

Male Elf Oracle of Nature 6

Do you want us to post our actions in initiative order?

Male Elf Oracle of Nature 6

Initiative 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (11) + 3 = 14

Male Elf Oracle of Nature 6

Thayalh's perception 1d20 + 0 ⇒ (5) + 0 = 5

Springrunner's perception, for what it's worth 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (4) + 14 = 18

Male Elf Oracle of Nature 6

As an aside, since I am on a large mount I get a +1 to hit anyone size medium or smaller since I am "on higher ground." Total = +9

Male Elf Oracle of Nature 6

Thayalh saw the Palladin as having principles when the bulk of her kin did not. "I'm sure she'll be an asset no matter what we face."

"The objects of magic I carry enhance my own strengths, but the otherworldly powers I can access should be more than enough to heal any wounds that do not that kill. And they are cetainly adequate to end life as well."

Male Elf Oracle of Nature 6

I read +10 and thought - that can't be right! I don't know what I was thinking but I'm pretty sure it's a +8. Yeah, not 10. Still, I think it's pretty impressive.

Male Elf Oracle of Nature 6

I think your post flows perfectly fine as it is now - sorry that I snuck in like that. When something like that happens like that to me I usually edit my post, or sometimes leave it as is and just have who ever reads the posts sort it out for themselves. However, I've learned to always preview my posts first to see if someone has posted while I was typing.

"Captain, how did your ship avoid such a fate? Did you fight off the beast, or merely out run it?

Male Elf Oracle of Nature 6

Have we lost Talon, too?

Male Elf Oracle of Nature 6

"Of course," he agreed with Ansha, "our fates are very much intertwined." Thayalh's glassy eyes made it near impossible for him to attack at a distance, he was more than prepared to assist in anyway he could.

Male Elf Oracle of Nature 6

Thayalh sat at the table in reserved silence. Not that it was different from his normal behavior as he had spent nearly all of his time with his companion Streamrunner. He ate slowly, finding both the heavy meal and the waves unsettling to his stomach, but maintained his proud posture and confident demeanor. He responded to the captain with a traditional greeting in the tounge of the Elves before responding "I am called Thayalh Elfheart of the Northern Woods." His eyes flickered to observe the other two of similar heritage for a moment before continuing. "As a representative of my displaced people, I thank you for the service of your crew and this fine vessel."

Oops, haha.

But in other news my Stats are more or less all done.

Don't forget me! NG Elf Oracle of Nature 6

My stats should all be posted to my profile shortly.

Also, any ruling on whether I can use an Elk instead of a horse or camel for a mount?
