”We’ve done this much, we shouldn’t risk any threat remain here. In case they try and turn the power of this place to their own devices,” Thanara says. She then thinks a bit, and adds ”Do…you think we should go back on our arrangement with Delvahine? Leaving her and her minions behind is a threat too, right?”
Thanara carefully collects some of the water. ”This stuff is amazing. It could come in very handy,” before noticing that it loses its power once removed from the pool. ”…Or…not. Looks like it loses its magic once out of the pool…”
Another peel of thunder and lightning booms through the chamber as another bolt sears into the demon.
Thanara sends another blast of lightning at the demon, hoping to free Snow from its clutches!
Thanara also sends a blast of lightning at the hideous thing!
Thanara says ”We are powerful magi from the world beyond Runeforge, and we have come to bring a swift end to Karzoug’s return!” imperiously.
”The mist is definitely magic…” Thanara says as she reaches out to try and undo it. She lets out a frustrated grunt and adds ”I…have no idea how to undo it though.”
Thanara also had darted across the room to rest a hand on her belly to feel the baby! When Snow announces she was ready, however, she looked to Lisa with a questioning look, making sure that their priestess was also still ready and willing to continue.
Thanara was preparing herself for more battle when the others awoke. ”There are more wings of this place. More dangers. If we don’t deal with them now, before they can unite, then who knows what horrors they can unleash on Varisia if they choose to leave.”
Thanara looks at her stomach, where the beast had ripped he asunder only moments before. Now there is only the trace remnants of blood where the wounds had been. ”I…I’ll be fine, thanks to Lisavet’s magic…” she says with a sigh of relief as she slumps back and lays on the stone floor.
Thanara reaches down in desperation, grasping the demon’s pincer in her hands before sending a powerful shock into the thing!
Thanara cries out in pain as the pincer closes around her midsection! She twists her head around and says ”I…don’t want to fight you! I just…wanted to keep you safe…” as she wills some magic through her words…
Thanara gasps at the sight of the hulking demon, but seeing the other woman charge forward as it comparatively leisurely strolls, Thanara takes a divisive tactic. She holds her staff forward and channels some magic out of it!
Thanara gulps and sends an explosion of lightning on the enemy mages, hoping it hurts them worse than it hurts Snow...
Thanara steps closer and unleashes a wave of lightning over the magi.
Thanara sees the large number of enemies and immediately sends a bolt of lightning that jumps from one foe to the next!
Thanara gasps and calls out ”A golem! Lisavet, don’t use any fire!”
Thanara let’s out a sigh of relief. ”Jewelry we can do!” she says before calling forth her extra planar mansion and stepping inside, acquiring a fine selection of feminine items to gift to Delvahine.
Thanara blushes at the proposition. ”I…I’m afraid it does impact you,” Thanara counters. ”With no one left to oppose him, how long do you think it will take Karzoug to come here and claim this place as his own? What would that mean for you and your rulership here?” Thanara points out.
Thanara curtsies politely, trying to ignore the shiver that ran down her spine at the accoutrement in the chamber. ”My name is Mayor Thanara. I am the one you…spoke with…just now,” she replies as she indeed approaches as requested, but only part way. ”As I said, I bear you no ill will or threat. I hope that we can come to an arrangement that is mutually beneficial to us both in seeing Karzoug’s return brought to a swift end.”
Thanara gasps as she looks around for the source of the voice. She then calls out ”We…request a peaceful audience. Karzoug is…awakening and seeks to cause ruin and chaos on the world beyond Runeforge. We came here seeking aid and possibly allies to fight him. We know the magic of Pride and Lust are his weaknesses. Unfortunately, it seems the leader of the Pride wing, Vraxeris, has died before we could meet with him. So we have now come to you.”
Thanara steps forward and holds her hands up in a show of peace. ”Ladies. Hello and well met!” she begins. ”We aren’t here to cause trouble. But we seek the help of the denizens in this hall against a mutual enemy. Is there someone here we might speak to as the leader here?” she asks.
Thanara works some magic and suddenly Snow begins moving faster, small trails of electricity accompanying her movements.
”H-Hey! I’m trying to read this…” Thanara protests. ”Okay! Okay! Fine!” she relents.
”Well…this is…disturbing. It sounds like everyone here has banded together to thwart the people in Envy. Should we check it next to see if anything useful is left before checking another chamber?” Thanara asks before collecting anything of value or use here.
Thanara takes the full brunt of the attack, then retaliates with a bolt of chain lightning!
Thanara looks around and says ”I think…Pride aaaaaand…Lust…” she says with a blush.
After having rested in the manor safely, enjoying the thrill of assessing the mighty pile of treasure they had acquired, Thanara leads the others back out and then follows Snow into Runeforge. After looking the whole main room over, she asks ”Well…where to first?”
Thanara gawks at the sheer amount of wealth present! ”Guys…is…is this…the dragon’s treasure?”
Thanara’s whole body is trembling as she fights the cold from the dragon. ”I-isssss everyonnne o-okay?”
As another bolt of lightning crackles out from Thanara’s hand!
Thanara sends another bolt of lightning at the dragon!
Thanara drops to her knees from the sheer cold, large swathes of skin also appearing quite frozen. Trembling, she raises a hand up at the dragon and sends a massive bolt of lightning at it!
Thanara walked around the circle, looking at the strange sculptures. ”So, one of each type of magic, huh?” she asked, before trying out a few cantrips.
”It’s not that,” Thanara says with a sigh. ”I…haven’t even really BEEN the mayor yet. Been too busy fighting this Karzoug. I’m just…letting them down…” she says with a sigh as her head falls and eyes drop to her thighs.
Thanara looks around the office, her office. ”I…I probably should tend to some mayoral duties. But,” she sighs and hops up a bit to sit on her desk, her legs dangling off the edge, ”I don’t think this Karzoug will be kind enough to wait. If this Runeforge does actually have the means to help fight him, then we don’t have a choice but to get there as fast as we can.”
Thanara throws another small bolt at Scribbler, hoping to take him down!
Thanara eventually manages to free herself from the spell!
Thanara freezes in place, a look of panic in her eyes!
Thanara gasped as the spell slipped past her side! She turns and sends a massive bolt of lightning first at the demon, which then jumps to the Scribbler!
Thanara sends a small blast of electricity from herself at the man behind the demon!
Thanara gasps at the appearance of the demonic figure. She, in turn, shifts as well into her form of pure electricity in feminine form!
When Snow bites at Lisavet, she cries out ”Snow! What are you doing!?!?”
Thanara pauses. ”I…I don’t know them all. But I’m sure there are plenty. I apologize, I’m not trying to be cagey. I just haven’t had the opportunity to meet many of them,” Thanara replies.
”No one truly knows,” Thanara answers, continuing to try to move cautiously towards the voice. ”but it seems that Karzoug, or likely someone using his name, is causing problems for us. Do you seek to cause those in the lands above any harm?”
Thanara was about to answer, then paused as realization set in. ”I do,” she answers. ”Tell me, are you a friend or foe of the one known as Karzoug?”
”Thassilon is an ancient memory. It was destroyed long ago, by some great calamity,” Thanara answers. ”And my turn. What is your name?”
Thanara ponders. ”I like games. But only if the other player plays fair. Will you answer mine honestly and not in any sort of trick answers or riddles?” she counters as she continues to slowly advance.
Thanara asks ”And who is it that asks?” Thanara replies coyly.
Thanara gave a detailed report of what they had overcome, and listens intently to the report she is given. She gives Lisavet and Snow a look before saying ”Well, this sounds just grand…” she says sarcastically.
