Thalion waits a moment to see if anyone else grabs any of the items, before gathering what remains and finding places in his backpack and various pouches for the found goods and coins. Once the guide confirms it all, the cleric of Erastil smiles broadly at the villager, "Glad you found it fit to trust us. Perhaps when this is all over, we can enjoy a bit of food and drink together and give you more reason to extend that trust."

With an easy pace matching that of the guide, Thalion takes the time to chat with the villager while taking in the surroundings.

Nice call Janus on the Pokemon Go. I just downloaded the game yesterday morning, and took kids to the local park to enjoy the game. They loved it (I might run out of poke balls though, if they let me throw too many of them - for some reason I'm not quite throwing them straight).

There is a huge number of stops and 3 gyms just north of me thanks to a school and park. Alas, it's too far from where I sit for me to take advantage of them. I shudder to think what it will be like for the school come fall.

My wife is watching us most carefully, to make sure it doesn't become too much of a thing in our house.

Thalion peers into the basement. Bothered by the dimness and the mist, he pulls out a sling bullet and lights it up Light spell before tossing it below. "Coffins and toy shops just don't belong together." He squints for a penetrating glance into the lower room before looking back to the more knowledgeable peers. "Anything we should worry about before walking into overwhelming odds and emerging the victor? I mean, that's how all stories go, right?"

Hopefully. Despite his attempt to make light of the situation, the cleric shivers at the unnaturalness of the situation at hand.

Thalion nods at the suggestion. "If nothing else, it'll be easier to dive out the window to the outside if we need to run." The cleric smacks his forehead at the thought and turns to Flare. "Make sure you don't include that when you write about our heroic deeds!" He then proceeds to pry the boards before returning near the trapdoor.

Thalion puts away his morningstar as he looks about. "I'm with you Janus. This place looks so...unused." The young man fights off a sneeze from the heavy dust present, and takes the time to study the dollhouse while he waits for others to settle in. "What are we looking for here again? Some sort of trouble?"

From the outside, how big is this place? Dimensions and number of stories would be helpful to get a sense of how much we'll be exploring, not counting the basement since that would be...underground.

Thalion shrugs helplessly at the request for curing poison. "I fear neutralizing poison is beyond my meager powers, though perhaps we can address this ailment with more mundane means? My colleague and I have some experience tending to the ill, and may be able to keep the condition from worsening, if nothing else." The cleric looks over to Janus apologetically, realizing belatedly he just volunteered his comrade's aid without checking with him first.

Timing-wise, did this request for aid on poison come as everyone was gathering back up? I didn't want to presume it in my response, and so limited to including only Janus..

The cleric sighs as the day winds down. "There is so much suffering here..." He shakes his head at the apparent helplessness of it all before gathering up his belongings and checking in with his colleagues on their findings thus far.

Please let me know if I managed to have contracted something (or Janus). I can tap into the strange mythical powers for a cure disease or two (at caster level +2). If we continue on, starting tomorrow I can prepare a remove disease each day and still have one slot open for something else useful.

Nice on that bonded armor thing.

Thalion puts his arms around round the party poser cleric. "Now that you've chosen the path of the faithful, we can be best buds. I've got your back, friend. And hopefully not with an wayward arrow." With a grin, he releases Janus and hefts his backpack to ease out a twist on the strap. "I suggest we get some basic foods, supplies, and may be an outfit for the new cleric here. We can head to the slums and do our best to be helpful while we get the lay of the area."

Thalion turns over to Cressida and bows slightly. "Thanks for all your help. May be we can meet back up over a drink sometime and exchange notes once we learn more. Is there a place you frequent where we can find each other without arousing too much suspicion?

Quick economics check - Thalion spent 704 of the party gold to get that mw composite longbow (str +3) and 2 quivers of cold iron arrows. Do we have a party treasurer? If not, if anyone can give me an idea of how much we have right now, and I'd be glad to keep track of it going forward.

Thalion finally takes the time to look over Janus, and nods appreciatively at the somewhat familiar tenor of the man. "If there had to be a fellow mark-bearer, I for one am glad it's you. Welcome to the party!" With a pat on the back and a boyish grin, the gesture seals the cleric's naive approval of the new comrade.

"Perhaps we should visit a tavern or two, mingle with the locals over a few drinks, and let loose some rumor about you?"

"Or perhaps we can do something more helpful first during the day and see what we can do about finding the person or perhaps offering some services, so they know there is a new *ahem* cleric in town."

"And don't worry, I've got your back. See my new bow? I can't believe I finally have a bow of my own!" The follower of Erastil lets out a contented sigh at the thought, and prepares to move on as he looks Flare for a sign of what's next.

Thalion looks to Flare, who looks to Janus. Fun times.

Thalion would not be that Sense Motive person, either. He might give things away for trinkets and food. Would people be ok if Thalion dipped into the pool of gps a bit and got himself a pretty bow? I assume I would be able to procure one and the cold iron arrows without much incident before we left.

Thalion shivers at the mention of vampires. Despite the little he's managed to remember from the countless lectures and lessons, the cleric knew undeads are seldom good news, especially intelligent ones. "Perhaps we should find a place to stay first and settle in?"

Turning to the harbormaster before taking leave, he inquires innocently. "Any place you'd recommmend for a few days stay? Hopefully one with good food, drink and friendly company."

Plan: settle in, gather some information, and see about where Thalion can help out medically while learning more about the vampires and what happened at the temple.

Thalion follows the group up the ship, just in time to watch Flare deck a person. The familiar sight of her friend lashing out in anger causes the cleric to (nearly) burst out in tears. "Flare! It's so good to see you. I was beginning to doubt we'd..." His words were cut off by the sight of the arcanist in action!

No less impressed at Riven's work on the captain, Thalion begins rushing over to hug her (not so long) lost friend, before thinking better of it and heads over the surrendered first mate.

"Why did you take us? What did you do to my figurine! And the rest of our stuff, too!"

Upon seeing a familiar face, the cleric struggles at his restraints anew and calls out helplessly. "By the Erastil! It's good to see you friend. Say, any chance you can get me out of these bonds? This is not the most comfortable position they have me in here."

Realizing belatedly there is a new face in the room, Thalion turns and squints a little to get a better look. "Hmm, you don't look hostile. I take it you're with my friend here?"

"Where is everyone else? It's not just you two, right?"

The burst of conversational energy came and went, and Thalion takes a moment to calm himself and sense his connection with the Old Deadeye, taking stock of what he feels he can draw on in the likely ruckus ahead.

Riven - did you take the 2hp from the channel? That should've hit all of us.

As Thalion follows, the cleric studies the holy symbol carefully, and tries to rub it clean against his clothes. Noting the wounds on Riven still, he grips the symbol tightly and focuses, sending another wave of healing energy forth...

Channel healing: 2d6 ⇒ (1, 4) = 5

Noting the wounds still on Riven, the servant of Erastil sighs as he shakes his head. "Sorry Riven. I don't know what is going on between me and Erastil right now. Stay behind me. I'll protect you from whatever may come. Or, may be you should stay behind Flare instead. She's something when she gets mad."

As the group moves on, Thalion heeds the ladies' call and skips on ahead. "What is it?" He asks as he grins happily at Cynthia and Flare, appreciative of their work forging ahead and scouting while he was preoccupied with his connection with Erastil.
