As they fly away he continues to gaze up at the sky. Sky, not stone, is above his head for the first time in quite a while. He did not realize until this moment just how much he missed it.
Misha falls to the grass and Telman nods his agreement, taking a step away to take up a cover position, to patrol the perimeter as he always has. The old soldier stops himself and smiles.
"Maybe just this once, it's ok to let our guard down. For a moment." He slides his bow into the enchanted quiver and drops to the ground next to Misha.

heck with it, Telmans pretty much a one-trick pony anyway
Ignoring the danger of clustering too close together Telman takes another step forward for a better angle on the glittering outline of the dragon. In seconds he runs through the various spells and trick arrows he has trying to come up with something clever. He comes up with nothing: wishing he could send an arrow through its hide as easily as he could send one through a stone wall won't make it so.
Seeing how prideful the beast has been and how wounded Rikar is the archer resigns himself to his fate as he tries to draw the thing's attention....

Telman sees Misha assessing their fallen comrade, probably thinking though the same things he is himself. This one arrow at a time nonsense isn't helping the battle much so bringing Therena to her feet might help but minor amounts of healing she can provide would not be enough to protect her from the next blast. Inching forward he trusts Misha's instincts to continue fighting and tries yet again to break through the creature's defenses.
This time two of the arrows connect, and Telman chuckles as thinks Well, thats twice as good as last time, I suppose.
my CMW potion won't do much good so I'll miss it with arrows instead.

A bit frustrated that so few arrows penetrated the dragon's defenses, Telman breathes deep to settle his hand and focus. Being less reckless but enhanced with Therena's speed magic he puts arrows to string in a steady stream, all the while tapping into her energy again.

I was going to ask a similar questions about how close we are since things like Gravity Bow are min/lvl and what we know about the enemy we're facing so I can pick the best energy effect for my arrows (which now have burst which could be cool)......

I'm the "new guy" here but agree with the fast track. like Therena I am feeling the pbp burnout - I used to have many games going at once but I've weaned it down to this one because I like it so much i want to see it through.
Having said that, I leave for vacation today and won't be back online until the 23rd .... I don't want to interfere with momentum so bit as needed.

Just got home after a week in the hospital with my 15yr old son; his lung collapsed (fancy name for it is spontaneous pneumothorax) and needed surgery. Home and out of the woods now, thank goodness, but things were a bit distracting. And the wifi there sucked!!!!

Hope I don't regret this...
The campfire tale of a dwarf running forward onto a bridge comes to mind as Telman moves around the corner to engage the approaching guards. The story is quickly replaced by a more recent memory, the memory of the arrow that just dropped the guard fighting Misha and Rikar. A few arcane words as he pulls his bowstring back and an arrow magically appears nocked and ready to fire.
Telman releases and the arrow splits into three as it flies toward the group to the south.
Move Action to get into position (token moved on map)
Standard Action to cast Arrow Eruption. From Telman's spot all but the leftmost of the 4 are in range.
The shot that dropped the guy was two arrows of a Manyshot ... second roll was a 3 so the spell replicates that arrow doing 15 piercing and 1 frost damage to each of the three guards.

Apologies .....I'm not too far west of papa and while I did not have it that bad the storm + work did knock me for a loop this week. I'll be adding a level of arcane archer, hope to have that wrapped up either tonight or tomorrow.
Adding to that has been a personal "mistake" ... the group I've gamed with in real life for decades (we use roll20 now since we're all over the country) learned that in all my years I have nevered GMed so they suckered me into agreeing to run a campaign. So of course I chose to do a 100% home brew game set in Victorian England loosely based on League if Extraordinary Gentlemen. So yeah, that's taking up some time. Bad news is I may have bitten off more than I can handle. Good news is, thanks to my character building chops my Jack the Ripper is a bit of a badass .....

Ever the soldier, Telman is content to let the generals speak while he remains vigilante, looking distracted but paying attention to everything that is said. Of special interest is the phrase "god killed a few" - not sounding like idle cleric talk, that sounds like there was a big beastie nearby that these fish men worshipped. Poorly timed crit....any chance 66+8 frost drops a fresh one in the back? Assuming not I would shoot him again, meaning that 3rd arrow and the crit goes to him also for another 65+6 (grand total 131+14). making him very dead. Last arrow on another fresh one for 24+1

Looks to me that I only have line of sight on the southern-most of the 3 casters. If I can get a bead on more than one I'd split the arrows between them. If not, I'll split the arrows between the caster I can hit and the front row to try and cover Rikar a bit.

Seeing how narrow the corridor is the archer begins chanting as he pulls an arrow from his quiver. He launches at the creature in front of Latys. The arrow explodes on impact, filling the corridor with a blast of flames.
