Given that I want Ildun to sweep for trackers and he has piloting experience, he should probably take the shuttle.

We need to drive the speeders out of here. There's 4 speeders and 1 shuttle. We all need to take 1 vehicle of a certain type.

"I'm clever Tinn, but not that kind of clever. Let's let Ildun take a look at them. Meanwhile, back to your question about Muunilist: lots has changed. The Empire was gracious enough to recognize our talent for finances, logistics, and organization so they nationalized the Banking Clans after the end of the Clone Wars. Turns out a lot of the corruption the CIS talked about being present in the Republic was present in their own government too, but the Empire forgave the Muun people for being misled. I actually was coming of age and graduating from the university right when the wars ended. There was less need for new employees after nationalization so now I'm out here. I eventually hope to go freelance and start my own business, restore the family fortunes a little. Some of my kin work for the Empire, but the pay is a lot less than it used to be."

Also, did we ever make it to the armory? I think that was our third objective.

"Indeed, it does seem a little tragic we didn't arrive 5 minutes earlier before these poor stormtroopers unloaded what we are about to re-load. Oh well. So, who flies this thing out of here?"

Tarlor walks over to Aeron Rell and puts a comforting hand on his shoulder. "Now, my dear Mr. Rell, I know tonight's been a little chaotic and dare I say, traumatic. But we don't have to let this citrus turn sour, we can make some citrade out of the situation. How would you feel about doing a little business with me in the future? You file a report tonight, highlighting your gallant efforts to protect the base, get a little commendation. Then, in the future, when you bring in a shipment, you skim a little from each shipment. A blaster here, a Bacta-pack there. The Empire is so large I'm sure they won't notice a thing."

Charm: 1.2.0 + 1.1.2 = [-1 1 1 0]. My PR is 3, I have 1 rank in Charm, his WP is 2, but GM upgraded it and added 2 setback because he's scared of us and hurting from us. Spending the advantage to keep him feeling friendly towards me and the triumph to open up a different connection later, but he himself isn't interested.

Rell's eyes widen. "Oh uh, no Mr. Tarlor, I just want to be done with tonight, to get home safely and take a Bacta bath." he says, wearily.

"It's just Tarlor, my good man." says Tarlor as he looks resignedly at Rell.

"Right, Tarlor, sorry si-sorry Tarlor. BUT, you know, I have a few buddies in the Navy that might be interested. I can't say for certain, but the Empire doesn't pay super well, they don't equip us super well, and they certainly don't care for us much. I'm gonna have to pass but I'll put you in contact with a few other fellows who are a little more daring than I am. Tonight's enough boldness for the rest of my life thanks."

Clapping his hands together decidedly Tarlor tips Rell 25 credits. "Here, get yourself a shot of Bacta when back in town."

With that Tarlor begins the back-breaking work of helping Tinn and Nato reload the ship.

@Ni'Kol,when you were making those computers checks and had a bunch of extra advantage, you can always try getting some boost dice as your expert hacking reveals shortcuts and backdoors in the code. Alternatively, you can tack on little extras. Not only do you download info, but you download the secret info too!

If you need additional inspiration, you could actually check out the Netrunner book for genesys, it has a lot of ideas for cool spending of advantage while hacking (or running as they call it).

I mean, Tinn, Nato, and I gotta load this shuttle. We are stealing it too. Then 2 of us will come back to help drive the speeders off. :)

I'm working on a post right now but I'm waiting on confirmation on how to spend a Triumph on a charm test I took. Then we can wrap the scene. :)

Tarlor turns from Aeron and faces one of the crates that were being unloaded from the shuttle. He presses the buttons on the opening panel - Beep borp breep - and...

It seems like we can maybe wrap this up without further violence. I'm going to try a Coercion check to get this guy to stop fighting us. He's outnumbered, badly injured, and disarmed (perhaps literally, this being Star Wars and all) so I am taking 2 boost dice per GM.

Coercion: 0.2.2 + 0.2.0 = [3 0 0 0]. Success!

Tarlor holds a hand up to the rest of the crew. "Hold on friends. HELLO MY FRIEND UP THERE. I THINK WE'VE ALL HAD ENOUGH OF THE SHOOTING AND THE HITTING FOR NOW! WE DON'T WANT TO HURT YOU. WOULD YOU CONSIDER COMING OUT AND WE CAN ALL MOVE ON FROM HERE?"

"HOW DO I KNOW I'LL BE SAFE?" comes the desperate reply from the pilot.

"WELL, I WOULDN'T EXACTLY SAY YOUR SAFE AS IT STANDS NOW DEAR MAN. BUT IF IT HELPS..." Tarlor shrugs his scatter-gun off from his shoulder, holding it out from his body by the sling. "SEE, A GESTURE OF TRUST."

The pilot walks down the ramp warily. As he reaches the bottom Tarlor puts his arm over the pilot, who shrinks down into himself. "Relax, it will all be better from here. You'll just have a nice wait, take a nap if you like. When we leave, you don't even have to lie. You can tell the truth that you did try to stop us. In fact, with your injuries, I think no one will question your story. Hey, what's your name my good fellow?"

"Uh... it's uh Rell sir. Aeron Rell."

"SIR? Ha, no sir here, Mr. Rell. You may call me Tarlor. This way now..." Jerking his head towards the remaining droid, Tarlor leads Aeron Rell to the crates behind the shuttle.

After the dust settles on our mission here I am going to try to make a permanent informant/contact in the Empire. Please don't slit his throat while he's trusting us not to hurt him.

"Well the darn things too heavy for me without the shoulder sling. Oh well, it pays off when I do this:" with a loud chu-chak Tarlor racks another power cell into the chamnber and levels the scatter-gun. Taking aim he fires at the stormtrooper squad.

BLAM!

R:Heavy @ Short: 1.1.1 + 1.0.0 = [2 2 1 0]. That's 12 damage + plus a triumph, which I will use to drop a buckethead. Preparing the gun is an extra manuever on top of the aim, but I'll use the two advantage to remove the strain from it.

"Thanks for the backup Nato, you really helped me out of a bind there. It's a big gun and while I don't like resorting to violence so often, if I have to, I want to do it LOUDLY."

Surprise? Not sure if this was a character we don't know or just the GM annotating that this is a surprise round. If a character, skip it until next round.

After we all go, one more of us gets to go again.

"Blast it Tinn, we bluffed our way past these guys once already, we could do it again!" says Tarlor. Leaving the droid to her capable hands he rounds the corner of the shuttle and walks towards the stormtroopers.

"Good evening my fine gentlemen, sorry to break up the p-" SNICK "CURSES!" Tarlor's strap catches on the side of the shuttle and his grandiloquent one-liner is interrupted as his finger tightens on the trigger too soon and his shot goes wide. However, the stormtroopers turn to face him, moving out a bit from the crates they were moving, exposing them.

R:Heavy @ Short-range: 1.1.0 + 1.0.0 = [0 1 0 0]. Using the advantage to give the next attack against the stormtroopers a boost. Since it's only 1 advantage, it's the next player, not a specific player. Took 2 strain to make the maneuver to short range. Y'all better attack too, or I am a sitting duck!

Shower-thought. The astromech we already smashed may be a red herring. Protocol droid sounds better for butler droid anyway. Maybe we can make the astromech into a roomba?

I am down with going to find the Computer Core. Ni'Kol did you pick up a weapon?

I am sorry friends, I couldn't resist making my stealth post a little humorous given that none of us are actually stealthy. I hope it doesn't throw off the mood of the story too much.

"Alright, I don't see any other guards. Let's go."

Tarlor sets off across the compound square. He leans forward awkwardly, thinking of a holo-drama featuring ninjas that he has recently watched... I am the night. I am the darkness... but it's not actually all that stealthy. Still, it seems the stormtroopers are too diligent at their jobs to see.

Stealth Check: 0.2.1 + 0.2.0 = [2 1 0 0]

The group manages to cross the compound and is now in the shadow of the shuttle. The stormtroopers somehow failed to notice their rather abysmal attempt at stealth.

My point wasn't an instant re-roll. Looking at something from the outside and noticing issues vs. noticing additional issues once you have the thing untangled seems like two entirely separate situations. Which having enough advantage on the first gives you the time required to do the second. But your solution works too.

"Tinn, I always love to talk about old times, Muun, and the Banking Clan, but it looks like they're just about done unloading that shuttle. And since we probably want what they are unloading, I say we move and take it from them ASAP. I'll regale you properly later."

I suggest we try to sneak across the field of the compound and ambush them when we are close.

@GM, I'd like to also look for any sentries or towers on the edge of the compound, unless that would have been included in that perception check you rolled for us..

@Nato, @Tinn, @ Jorn... so... who wants to loot a Sheathipede while we are at it? Think we could fit the T-44's in it? Alternatively, we could fit our bikes in it. We rode those here and we need to ride the T-44's home...

@Ildun, maybe you could spend those 3 advantage on your mechanics check to test again once you get done with the first repairs? See if you notice anything else while you're mucking about in the guts of the speeder?

"Jorn, I think Ildun invited the bucketheads with his defibrillator over there."

Tarlor rummages in his pack and pulls out a small cloth bundle. Unrolling it he reveals 3 stimpacks and a couple other small vials. "Hmm, getting a little low on these" he says as he injects himself with a shot of bacta. "Alright companions, anyone else need a pick-me-up?" Since this is my first stimpack, it heals for 5.

"Hey Tinn, Ni'kol, Nato, let's go look for that armory. While we do so I bet we can find the central control room. Jorn, you mind staying here with Ildun?"

K:Outer Rim 1.2.0 + 0.1.0 = [1 1 0 0]. Using the advantage to add a little bit of trivia about the facility. .

"The Empire is just starting to be established out here. They've been consolidating their control and position in the Core ever since the end of the Clone Wars. This facility right here? You can tell from the welding that the metal comes from reclaimed starships. Republic ships, from the look of it. CIS ships would have had darker colors from the inferior alloys they were forced to use. Anyway, my point is that their presence will only increase from here on out. Did you know they nationalized the banking clan?"

While waiting for the others to split up Tarlor drags the little droid over to one of the speeders and puts it on it. He pats in gently as he walks away.

I'm gonna get you fixed up when we get back my friend. Then you can help keep the shop nice!

I concur Nato, stop that droid. Also remember everyone, bringing something above its wounds threshold doesn't necessarily mean death/explosion. Just out of action. We can still repair the droid even if we drop it first.

"Hurk! Medic!... oh blast, I'm the medic aren't I?"

Yo gang, still offering that medical check on someone besides myself from our previous down time. Probably might want it before we get into more fights. ;)

Also, I will pretty quickly be getting some ranks in Medicine, so I can take on that roll for the team too.

"By the moons Ildun, that was exciting. I think you would have singed my hair if I had any. Or if you had any either. " says Talor, grinning cheekily.

Dropping his scatter-gun from his sling he takes aim at the droid as it flees towards the door. Jorn, would you be a dear and mind thumping those two drivers to make sure they're really asleep?"

He lines up the shot and gently squeezes the trigger. FREEM-Eem-eem! The scatter-gun's sounds echo in the small room as the blast smacks into the droid from behind. "Look sharp my friends, between Ildun's sparky surprise, my aggressive negotiations, and that fleeing droid I think we might have company soon. Good thing we brought our newest friend, Tinn, along for the heist. Oh sorry, did I say heist? I meant "reclamation"."

I took 2 strain to both ready the gun and aim. My roll was 1.1.1 + 1.0.0 = [2 -1 0 0]. 10 + 2 = 12 damage. Bobby, if you are going to have the guards outside attempt to hear our disturbance, please use the threat to make it easier for them to hear. If not, maybe my blast hit the droid, but also moved it further towards its goal of the door. Failing that, I'll just take an extra strain.

Just for the record everyone, once we down that droid, I want it thrown on a speeder. I have a use for it back home. I'll tell you about it on the ride home.

I third the idea of garage first. BTW y'all, self-testing medicine is upgraded three times. Once for not having proper equipment and twice for self-applying. Don't worry about the equipment though, a proper set of med tools is an ASAP purchase for our stash house for me. And I got some credits lying around. ;) So with that said, I am NOT self-testing medicine. However, if anyone would like me to have tested medicine on them, I am willing to retroactively spend my test on you.

I have been watching "The Blacklist" where like a single piece of ID let's the feds know where you are, what job you have, who you know, etc. So I may be forgetting that Star Wars lacks a lot of data-integration and communications services.

I'll admit I am frustrated by them having the plates because it just seems like SUCH a setback for 1 despair on an otherwise unrelated roll. If those plates get out the identity of one of our syndicate is up from the get go. If this truly were a crime story with evil characters the next thing we would do is put several bullets in Nato's head and leave him so they can't trace him back to us.

I mean, I wasn't thinking he'd be dead. The Despair was saying "Sure he has our ID, but he's crashed and now we have a chance to get him". That doesn't seem like a direct "NOPE" but more of creating further chaos. Maybe that's too narrow a difference and it's still too much of a direct opposite of the Triumph.

Hey Nato, you should go crazy with the threat. We need to eliminate the guy who got a read on your bike. Maybe reading the code caused him to lose attention and crash into something? Make him a sitting duck for some blaster to the face? Dunno.

Sure, my pal Narg Vli said that the 'Rusty Rider' would be closed, easy to raid, and unaffiliated with any local gangs or police stations and none of that was true. And they were under security contract with PlanSec!... Yes yes, I know 'tips aren't guaranteed to be accurate' but this was especially inaccurate. I'm almost ready to stop doing business with you. When Uncle Sed said he needed us to do a job and get some parts, I came to you for help... I appreciate you being sorry. In fact, I have an idea on how you can make it up to me."

Tarlor accidentally smashes through some garbage cans as he's talking, being a little absorbed in the conversation proving counter-productive to safe driving.

"I need you to call in some major crime to PlanSec. Near the 'Rusty Rider.'... Yeah, precisely. I'm hoping these cops get called off to deal with that.

Charm Check: 1.2.0 + 0.2.0 = [2.-1.0.0]. I spent an additional destiny point to upgrade my check. I used Charm because I'm trying to convince him to help us out since his tip was bad. I used a pirate crew as the statline. Taking an additional strain as I run into some clothes hanging across the alleyway. Also, I am using this as my action for the turn, since it's been a rather lengthy conversation that strains the expression "talking is a free action." GM, I want to have this successful check distract or delay our pursuers, although I'll leave precisely what up to you.

"Thanks Narg... Yeah, this squares us."

Tarlor smiles a little as he continues down the alley, hoping some of their pursuers get called off.

Tarlor shakes his head to clear his vision, still reeling from the attack. He spots the check point ahead, as well as the side-street with ample time to adjust his heading.

"These persistent people just don't know when to quit. Oh well, I guess we must resort to aggressive negotiations," says Tarlor as he racks another round into his scatter-gun. This costs me 2 strain as I don't get a free manuever. "Let's hope all this smoke throws their aim off."

This may be a little less involved than future posts, but I wanted to get the ball rolling. My initiative roll was a 22 [2 2 0 0].

"Great. Now PlanSec is here too. We really should have planned this gig a bit more. Next time we try to rob a chop-shop, let's make sure it's NOT under contract with PlanSec."

Tarlor Choh slows his speed to better navigate the traffic ahead, as well as to fall back alongside the speeder that isn't tangled up with Ildun.

Tarlor levels his scatter-gun and takes begrudging aim at the gunners. He squeezes the trigger of his SX-21.
