sense motive: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (1) + 5 = 6

Tarken looks concerned. Someone caught on to us again and already compromised our meeting location! Fine. Splitting up makes sense then, I’ll see you at The Goat’s Knuckle.

sense motive: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (14) + 5 = 19

Tarken peers at Edmund closely. As soon as Gray puts his weapon away he says, “That’s it? You attack me and now you just believe me right away?

Tarken keeps looking at Gray’s chain.

Celestial:

I won’t be able to understand common until he puts that away.

Tarken watches Ziera leave and then looks at the other, confused. He eyes Gray’s chain, still concerned that it’s not done being used.

Celestial:

I won’t attack; I haven’t attacked yet but I will not give up my ability to heal. .

Tarken slowly pulls the Morningstar off his back, hesitates, and then chucks it to the side away from the others.

Tarken looks confused as Ziera talks, but then snaps his focus back to Edmund. His hand again drifts to his morning star but he once again pulls it back.

Celestial:

I can’t do what she said. I protect life, including my own. Your reason for distrusting me doesn’t warrant this kind of response, even as complicated as our situation is.

Tarken forgoes his action, everyone else can act for round 3

Tarken grunts as the acid burns him again.

Celestial:

I don’t know. I don’t really know anything right now. They might have known my divine calling? Did they know other stuff?

damage taken:28
healder: 7

Celestial:

Yes, i kept them alive. Is that what this is for?My calling and connection to my diety is life. Life for all, indiscriminately. I’ve seen what a philosophy counter to that can produce and so i protect the life of everyone i can.

Roll:

1d20 ⇒ 12

Tarken frowns.

Celestial:

"Traitor! What are you talking about!"

roll:

1d20 + 5 ⇒ (12) + 5 = 17

Tarken roars again as the chain connects. He turns to face Gray, his eyes wide. His right hand twitches to his morning star, but he stops that hand and pulls on the holy symbol chained to his neck.

Power bursts from him, and some of his wounds bind before your eyes.

Celestial:

"What is this? Why are you attacking me?"

Channel energy: 3d6 ⇒ (1, 1, 5) = 7

Damage taken:18
Healing: 7

If you are damaged at all you get the healing.

As you are gathered, a quick glance up the road shows Tarken approaching. His scales have returned to his normal color, and have a wet sheen to them. His morningstar, that he hadn't been wearing at the Ball, is now hanging on his back.

He gives a quick nod in greet and says, "Ready."

For the note, there's only one entrance in / out of House Leroung, or at least for guests of the ball there is only once entrance. Anyone watching could wait and find you as Tarken did.

Tarken nods, then realizes his mistake and whispers,”Yes, that sounds like a good idea. I will slip out now and meet you on the way to the inn that Vince mentioned.

Rantin is the man who spoke to you previously, on behalf of Lugen.

Tarken looks between Gray, Ziera and Edmund. “And what shall I do with this man? I do not feel comfortable questioning him.

Tarken hurries to the man; then nods. "He is stable for the moment, I can bring him to consciousness at any point." He looks around at the assembled group. "Perhaps I should carry him."

Tarken moves quickly around the bar, offering healing to any who need it.

Tarken has significant healing abilities, so consider yourselves back at full health. No need to roll it for now.

Yorrick:

This is the Priest, Tarquin.

The creature is a humanoid shape but shows deep red scales on the parts os his body not covered by a plain robe. A talisman of Erastil hangs clearly from his next, and though it could be a hunch, it's pretty apparent that a sword and shield are slung across his back and covered by the robe.. His admonishments to Payk to not drink as he needs to recover are in precise common with only a regional accent corrupting the words.

"I offer Holy Water for donations, but I"m running very low on stock. The recent undead events have increased demand. For someone who I'm assuming must be joining the Tadloton Merc Guild, you can have a flask for a donation of 20 gold pieces. " The humanoid motions to a table with a collecting tin and several bottles of water. "You may serve yourself as you require. However, I think you are more interested in your other two questions at the moment. I've been asked many times about the undead, and I've questioned any that I thought could be helpful, but still I have very few answers. I am pretty sure that the corpses are being animated by someone, though I have been here at the temple when the events have come recently. May I inquire as to the tpe of spell you cast on the undead?"
