As an aside, I think the idea of making orcs always available is a clever move. I'd probably be building one or two myself if I hadn't recently started new half-orc PCs in both PFS2E and SFS. But Grazga and Talgoth both need to stay half-human for story and/or mechanical reasons.

OTOH, Talgoth doesn't have any points in Profession yet... :D

The worlanisi's effusive farewell earns a rare visible smile from Talgoth, and the half-orc's attempt to return the hug is notably less awkward and perfunctory than last time. "It was good to work with you again, Chance. I hope we'll see each other again."

His partings with the others are much more reserved, though he does take a moment to kneel down and offer a hand to Volitare. "Well done again, little one. Take care of yourself."

Yes (CRB 192). But the cost for each fusion is based on the weapon's level. So having several low-level fusions on a weapon actually costs more than a single higher-level fusion on the same weapon.

A fusion (CRB 191) is more or less permanently affixed to a weapon. You can move it, but it takes 10 minutes, you need to be trained in Engineering or Mysticism, and you have to pay half the fusion cost based on the new weapon's level.

A fusion seal can be moved more easily, taking only 1 minute, no special training, and no extra cost (but it doesn't function for the first 24 hours). You can install it on any weapon of a level up to the fusion seal's level. (So, say you're 4th level. You can buy a seal for a CRB fusion of up to 5th level [level +1], pay the 5th-level seal cost, and use it on any weapon you have of 5th level or lower, as long as it's at least the minimum level for the fusion.)

If this sounds confusing, that's because it is! I had to completely redo multiple fusions (repricing some, ditching others) on my first SFS PC around 4th-5th level when I finally reread the fusion rules enough times to understand how the pricing actually works.

Once the last squox is outside, Talgoth leads the way back to the operating theater and the machine. He remains wary, however, and carries his rifle at the ready.

"Now...we just have to figure out how to make this thing work so we can get rid of the venumbrites for good, right?" he asks the group. "And then...help Sikooli find peace."

"And not remotely creepy," Talgoth says drily as he comes up to the door to take a look at the room. At the sight of the glowing vial, he murmurs a couple of arcane words, and starts scanning the room with detect magic.

Talgoth also seems a bit twitchy--but paranoia seems to be his natural state, based on Volitare, Chance, and Jortek's previous acquaintance with the half-orc. (Which is not terribly surprising, given that he lived on Apostae until very recently.)

The precog is still making up his mind about whether Chance is more of a friend or a lucky charm, but whatever the reason, he sticks close to the plucky worlanisi as she leads the search.

The Talgoth falls silent when he sees the squoxes. As before, the half-orc allows the others to deal with them rather than resorting to frightening wild animals in front of the xenodruid. Instead, he keeps alert for other signs of trouble.

Talgoth grimaces at Chance's talk of inadvisable plot tropes. "But we do still need to find some way to understand what happened here. If the doctor died and became a restless spirit, she'll need an exorcism, or last rites, or...I dunno, really good therapy? Something to resolve her unfinished business and help her move on." The half-orc shrugs. "If something else happened to her...well, we learn that, then we can figure out what to do about it."

Talgoth follows Phelps down, looking warily around them the whole time. He and Hackrat both move forward to study the strange device. The hireling tries to puzzle out its purpose using his technical knowledge, while the half-orc tries to determine if it's mystical in origin.

The bizarre phenomena here have Talgoth a bit on edge--though to be fair, those who have met him before (Chance, Voltaire, and Jortek) have noticed that slightly paranoid seems to be the half-orc's natural state. He walks quietly out of long habit, trailing the group, rifle held at the ready.

At this talk of hauntings, Talgoth starts to make an ancient orcish gesture to ward off evil, but then freezes, and glares at his own hand for a moment before stuffing it in a pocket. "Oh, yeah, this will be all sunshine and rainbows," he mutters.

"Ah...hello, Chance," Talgoth replies, a bit nonplussed by the worlanisi's affectionate greeting. He awkwardly bends to pat her once or twice on the back before she bounds off to greet the others.

He's scrawny for a half-orc, but still like 6 ft tall. ;) more of a scarecrow than a linebacker.

For those who have met Talgoth before, the scrawny half-orc appears to be just as shabbily dressed as ever, with the only bits of color being the peacebonding cords securing the large knife at his hip and the battered rifle case across his back. He gives a friendly nod to those he's worked with in the past, and warily studies the others.

"Why call in offworlders?" Talgoth asks the lashunta. "That seems like a lot of expense to go to for a simple inspection. Has there been trouble at the site?"

I technically have one other 1st-level PC (the one I played #3 with not too long ago) but he's waiting for credit from a module. I'll play my stellifera again when he hits 2nd level and goes phrenic adept, because limited telepathy is so much more efficient than telepathic message (and I was planning to go that route anyway). Some GMs are pretty forgiving about communication with that race, but I'd rather not have to worry about table variation at all.

It's not even a spell, you just have it constantly, which is even more awesome. My envoy in the other game just retrained into a level of xenodruid mystic to get that ability, because he wants to be able to share all his envoy abilities with his giant fur-baby. :) He hasn't had a chance to speak with any other animals yet, though.
