Liberty's Edge

Hi there.

After reading about it being possible to have two Blackblades, I decided that it might fit a character concept of been trying to fnd a way to create for a while.

Here's the thread I found it in: http://paizo.com/threads/rzs2rfsm?Would-you-two-Shut-UP-Twin-Black-Blades-a nd

Requirements: It means I'd apparently need to take 3 levels in Magus (Bladebound) & 3 levels in Arcanist (Blade Adept) to have both blades.

Preferences: I'd very much like to be a Human (maaaybe a Half-elf) who uses two Bastard Swords (I'm aware that it is not the best choice, but it's how I envision the character).

Problems I can see with it: Casting spells with somatic components (with full hands), being weak in the late game, Shortage of feats (unless I am Kensai), reduced spellcasting ability, and low AC or BAB may be a problem (depending on build).

Anyone have any ideas for builds that could make this character somewhat viable? I don't them need to be the strongest character ever, but I would like to get some help with making them the best that I can within my modest parameters. All input is appreciated.

Liberty's Edge

Hi,

So, I'm pretty new to pathfinder and I'm building a character for a pirate themed game. I think I want to go with the bomb and gun awesomeness that is Grenadier/Pistolero, but I'd like to do the reloading and whatnot with Witch's Prehensile Hair, rather than a Vestigial Arm or Tentacle.

I'm considering Sea Witch archetype, because of the theme of the game, but it would require me to take 2 levels in order to get the Prehensile hair, I think, so I'm not set on it necessarily.

So, I need your help with most parts of figuring out the build please. What classes/archetypes, feats, and so on, at what levels? I start out level one, but will be playing this character for the foreseeable future. I'm pretty sure I'll only ever need 5 levels in Pistolero. I know that much from reading through the forums. I'm open to being other races, but Human (or Half-elf, or something relatively close to Human in appearance,) was the original plan.

Thank you in advance for any help you can offer. I really appreciate it, as my head is spinning from trying to absorb everything Pathfinder in a very short amount of time.

Liberty's Edge

So I have this idea for a monk druid archer with animal friends. He doesn't wear armor and he uses a longbow.

The problem I'm running into is this:

-Without increasing monk levels my armor class doesn't go up.

-Without increasing my druid levels my animal companions and spells suffer.

-No social class skills on either front. Diplomacy and bluff sure would be nice.

I could really use some advice. I'm dead set on my race, Agathion-Blooded Aasimar, but aside from that I'm willing to consider any options. I care very little for wild shape and do not want to focus on it at all.

One of the things that this character has going for him is that because of a trait he can take monk despite being an unlawful alignment and because of another trait, both monk and druid can be favored classes at the same time. Also antlers... he has antlers.

Okay, so I have a concept of what I want my character to be like and need help figuring out the optimal way to create him while maintaining pathfinder society legality.

-I want an Aasimar who uses two bastard swords, breastplate, and has a wolf companion that doesn't die really easily.

-Hermean Blood is a secondary request, because I'd love to take bunch of social skills or use magic device, but I get that it would come at a great cost and could leave it out if I must.

He doesn't need to, and clearly wont be able to, do all of this at level one. My concern is making him an effective character throughout the levels, despite his unconventional choices. Obviously I'm a roleplayer, not a roll player, but having a terrible character is no fun for most of us and doesn't do the party any favors.

I'll go human if I need to, but would really prefer to stick to my Aasimar concept if I can. Just for the appearance and the dash of charisma really. I like having some small measure of social ability in TTRPGs.

Can you please help me plan this character out? I've been struggling with it. This is my first pathfinder character, though I've played quite a lot of 3rd. I appreciate any and all assistance you can offer with it.

Thank You!
