I like the idea of having a defender who stand his ground until someone or something bypasses him.... at which point he goes into a frenzy until that person or monster is destroyed. Can these to classes be combined?

They can, but the bonuses won't stack because they are both morale bonuses.

EDIT - meant morale and not insight.

A shame; I haven't seen a non-cat Druid in ages. Maybe if wolf got iterative attacks because it only has one attack (like a PC or Eidilon) it would improve. In most situations I do prefer trip to grapple though.

I've always enjoyed combat control myself, and with my druid that I'm currently playing I had a Roc as an animal companion. I got his CMB as high as I could and grabbed enemies and flew up to 200 ft and held them while the combat finished, or until he broke free and took fall damage.

Since then my Roc has died and I have taken a crocodile as my new companion. She has a better CMB than the Roc, and can do the death roll to help keep enemies prone on the field.

Really, that is a fantastic resource.

I have about two weeks before we start our first session, so I will nut out a few builds and post them up for comments. Thanks for the suggestions so far.

That site has quite a bit of information that isn't in the core book. Makes sure you check with your DM about what is acceptable, because there is some 3.5 material on that site as well.

Hi,

I have played a little D&D in the past, but not for a long time. My buddy is about to start a Pathfinder campaign and I was hoping to get some suggestions for build(s).

First some background on the (home-brewed) campaign...

6 players, each with two characters each, starting 1st level.

All Dwarves.

Books: Core, Advance players, Dwarves of Golarion.

21pt buy

Party so far:

2 * Fighter
1 * Rogue
1 * Witch
2 * Cleric
1 * Some kind of Archer
1 * Barbarian
2 * Not Sure
2 * Me

Campaign will feature large combats against Drow (in the under-dark), Orcs and Goblins. Basically we will be involved in an ongoing war so combat should be thick and constant.

I am hoping to play a couple of interesting characters that suit the Dwarf race and can be beneficial to the party, while still remaining interesting to play...no one trick ponies.

I need two characters and my thoughts so far have been Barbarian and Bard, although the racial to CHA is quite irksome for the Bard.

So, anyone else have some good build suggestions for me? The more detail you can provide the better :)

Thanks very much for your time.

Your party seems to be very light on arcane casters.. try treantmonk's guide for wizards.
