![]() Since it seems this PBP is not going anywhere I just wanted to take the opportunity to say how much I have enjoyed playing with this incredible group throughout our adventures. I have many many fond memories and feel like I had a fantastic run with Sykala. Hopefully, you all are still periodically checking and will see this. Tarren: A straight up fantastic DM. Raises a glass in toast. Ixius: you have been there since the beginning and we had some incredible times floating down the jungle rivers on Esteban's pleasure cruise. Korian and Jinx: I can't tell you how much fun it has been watching Korian try and stem the Chelaxian tide while discussing (and laughing) about his antics with Jinx behind his back (Thank the gods you had the little animal to set you straight so often!). Ovirid: You always made me laugh with your matter-a-fact observations and the dwarven accent was done perfectly. The unassuming dwarf will always remain a truly fond memory always getting himself in over his head (with this group how could you avoid it?!) but coming out of it through sheer dwarven toughness in the end. Refina: I felt our religious similarities and differences had a lot of mileage left in them and am just sorry we didn't have more time to explore them. You, however, seemed often to be a sole voice of reason reining in some of the more hot-headed members of our lil party (I am not counting myself out of that group). I feel I must give an honorable mention to Asim. ::moment of silence:: and to Esteban, that snake would have outlived us all... ::Her hair being tussled by an unfelt breeze the druidess gives you all big hugs before slowly dissolving into little cloudy wisps of wind that slowly disappear into up the sky and sunset...:: P.S. don't worry she got you all out of the pyramid with her burrow spells ;) ![]()
![]() Not sure where the tiger will fit but she'll try and go for the closest to her. If that doesn't work than one of the others. Casts Strongjaw on Tiger. Tiger claw #1: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (2) + 12 = 14
Tiger claw #2: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (20) + 12 = 32
Tiger bite: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (8) + 11 = 19
Tiger Rake: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (14) + 12 = 26
Tiger Grapple claw #1: 1d20 + 17 ⇒ (11) + 17 = 28
Tiger claw #2 possible crit: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (10) + 12 = 22
Not sure what to make of the fanged humans hanging from the walls, Sykala summons a nasty tempered feral feline from the wilds to take care of the threat. ![]()
![]() I am going to be out of town (at GENCON WHOOHOO!) til next Monday so please DMPC Sykala until then. Thanks! P.S. She intends to come out of the wall cast Strongjaw (basically doubles the rolled damage dice for the summoned critter) on her newly summoned tiger (large critter so it should be able to reach the ceiling and also has pounce) and have it pounce the closest (to her) vampire and tear it to shreds. ![]()
![]() Sykala looks down into the hall through the trapdoor. It isn't until the vapor shifts of it's own accord that she comes to realize it maybe someone or something in gaseous form instead of poison. Thinking maybe we should stop it until we know more she quickly intones a prayer to Gozreh. A roaring wall of wind springs up to impede the progress of the vapor. Shifting down through the ceiling she watches the cloud closely. Cast Windwall directly in front of the vapor, trapping it here with us. ![]()
![]() Well, since she is just assisting Ovirid and cannot fail the roll I just left it as a +2 to his roll. However, if you need a roll for other reasons she is going slow and taking a 20 (for a total of 35 since she doesn't want to accidentally set of any traps....and it definitely looks like there is a trap). On the off chance she needs a perception for something else: 1d20 + 15 ⇒ (5) + 15 = 20 She'd start with the ceiling since that is where Ovirid noticed the discolored stone. Then she would go to the left wall, floor, and right wall in that order. ![]()
![]() Having seen stone floors slide up and down as traps before Sykala holds up a hand to indicate the rest should pause a moment and disappears into the stone floor. She'll go down 30' feet below the floor of the room to see if this is some sort of mechanical counterweight trap (having had personal experience with them). ![]()
![]() Korian Allande wrote: So are we boys all on our own without the girls? I thought it was understood we were all going together? Would be pretty foolish to do otherwise, especially considering how we've fared in here so far I know that Sykala certainly wanted to keep everyone together and assumed you were sticking with the plan and following her. I'm not sure she realizes you are not there until she reaches her destination (can she tell how many gaseous forms are following her or does it simply look like mist behind her?). If she can tell, then no she would wait til everyone was with her. If she can't you are going to find a very upset druidess on the other end. Korian's sudden need to do experiments is not what she expected but now understands that she should have. ![]()
![]() I thought of that too and was ready to go into gaseous form if following along the edge of the tube didn't work. She'll guide her companions down the other tube that does not dead end in sand. I'm assuming that is the correct one as it is the only other one going someplace we haven't been. If that doesn't sound right to her then she'll try leading down the other tubes until she gets the right song. ![]()
![]() I'm back :) Having never met the man before Sykala enters the room and begins to circle warily to the right. She tries to determine what the real ground beneath her feet is made out of and to find a wall where there should be one. Will save against illusion if she gets one: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (15) + 10 = 25 ![]()
![]() I will rework my spell list. Thanks, I was just waiting for the word that we had fully rested. Sykala gives Korian an angry look that plainly says she thinks he is an idiot and says in elvish, "The pack sticks together. Your not sick, dying, and a danger to the pack are you?! If you were than I would be the first to chase you off. If you keep talking like that than Jinx will probably eat your eyeballs to save you from yourself." She gives the other men the same scathing look as they comment, "Why go down?! It not come up. We look for seed... not fight. We get out. We make Korian better!" Her short hair whips around agitatedly in the invisible breeze.
