Pockets points to the "Safety Inspector" tag on his vest, then taps his trusty data pad to bring up a blank safety checklist.

"Check, pass, I'll let that one slide, Ok that's all the quick stuff now the hard part. We can do this the hard way or the easy way. Hard way I have to shut all your games down and run diagnostics on all the systems, which takes a few hours, or I can run the live test, all I need for that is some free game tokens to get started."
Pockets taps his trusty datapad
"I don't have all day what's it going to be?"

"So about the safety fines... Ok Ok Ok I'll drop the finds for the cost of arranging an orbital bombardment to remove the safety hazard since we neutralized it ourselves, but someone paying for my damaged safety vest, and here's a list of other damaged clothing from the team. Normally I only take credits, but in this case, I'd settle for some of that fresh cheese you have here, did I mention that's the best cheese I've ever had, and that's saying a lot 'cause I'll eat just about anything."

Pockets starts reviewing the data we collected.

While others tend to binding the prisoner Pockets gets busy and puts lockout tag-out tags on the laser turrets.

"He's got a lot of hands if you need more binders I got some too, now I got one long safety report to write up. Does anyone have anything to add to the report?"

Pockets starts checking lots of checkboxes on his trusty datapad.

"Hands over your head where we can see them! Do you have any idea how many safety violations you have racked up, I'm going to need to hire a secretary to help with all the paperwork, that's getting added to the safety fine too!"

Pockets takes a guarded step then tries to dissable the turret.

First time ever having a trick attack hit, let alone getting a crit with it! Do I roll twice for the trick damage and base damage then roll once for the burn damage? Or is the burn damage the crit damage for the base attack? Also I forgot the target gets the burning condition but it might get a save for that?

Pockets opens the door for Rahosa, then gets out his trusty datapad and a new checklist for hostage rescue.

"I gotta few really quick questions to ask fast, won't take long at all, Ok let's get started, first,
are you injured?
Are you hydrated? We have food and water if needed.
Are there any other dangers in the area we should know about?
In case of an emergency who should we contact for you?

Pockets gets back to work

"I'll try to check the cameras while you go over the logs."

"If someone else wants to go over the security logs for 10 minutes I could use a rest."

"The security logs look like it will take some time to go through, might be best to just download it for evidence on our way out, let me see if I can see into the other rooms with the security cameras."

At the ysoki's threat against the computer, she pinches the bridge of her nose in frustration. "I'm not getting paid enough for this."

"Good point Grimalki, with all of the safety hazards we have encountered we should all be getting hazardous duty pay."

Pockets takes note to ask for more pay for the team and then backups the data found to his trusty data pad, while sharing the info with the team.

"Maybe we can use the security cameras to find where that Ccarusidae thing is hiding, and also whoever has been talking to us over the intercom."

Pockets tries to get up his nerve to try using the computer again
"If anything bad happens I'm shooting this computer."

Pockets starts to work on the computer with one hand while pointing his pistol at it with his other hand.

Pockets takes off another velcro pocket on his safety vest and reattaches it to cover up another hole, then gets out his trust datapad and starts yelling at the ceiling or wherever the voice talking to them seems to come from while furiously checking off boxes on the datapad.
"You're going to pay for that, the safety fines are going to be so astronomical I'm going to be able to retire and buy my own planet, and I'm not just talking any plant it's going to be a really nice one. We find one more trap in here and I'm calling in an orbital bombardment to eliminate this place before anyone else gets hurt!
Pockets gets on his comm unit and pretends to give the quadrants for an orbital bombardment.

Pockets pulls up the team's training records on his trusty datapad.
" According to our training records we should have done better than that, everyone check your weapons to make sure they are working right."
Pockets takes his pistol's batteries out and puts it back in, making sure it's connected right, then shakes the pistol a few times by the barrel, before checking off a box on his trusty datapad.
"Good as new. So where did that creature come from and is it still around?"

"Safety first!"

Pockets follows Sovellis example activating his armor's environmental protections. Pockets waites until others have had time to activate as well. Then Pockets reaches into his backpack and hands Mazer a roll of duct tape, and whispers to Mazer.

"Can your reach that vent?"

"My name is safety inspector Pockers, we're here investigating a missing person, and this facility is racking up some big safety fines. Who are you and what is this place?"

Pockets investigate the food wrappers and containers
"I knew it, just like I thought the missing people have something to do with food. I was hoping for a mission with Dragon Treasure, but finding food is just as good."
Pockets pauses a minute thinking about it.
But a mission with food and treasure that's a mission I'm dreaming of!"

As Nixxer works on disabling the laser turret Pockets provide covering fire while yelling

After things quiet down Pockets realizes he's been hit
"Ouch, I'm going to have to get a new safety vest soon if this keeps up."
Pockets tares off one of the velcro pockets on his safety vest and reattaches it over the burn hole.
"Good as new!"

Then Pockets looks around to see what else might need to be made safe.
Perception: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (15) + 5 = 20

"I'll try to open the door, everyone else have your weapons pointed at it in case more of these things run out of it."

Engineering: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (13) + 10 = 23

"I think it's starting to open get ready to shoot!"

"Did I get it? See Nixxer understands. One of those things tried to eat me, and its tracks lead to there, I'd feel safer if we threw in a dozen, Mk 8 Frag Grenades first."

"Good point Solellis."
Pockets takes out his trusty datapad and brings up a new checklist.
"As the saying goes you can never be too safe."
Then Pockets draws this pistol and starts shooting at the tunnel entrance.

"Mazer, you seeing what I'm seeing? I'm seeing the tracks lead to a "Keep Out" sign. That sounds like good advice to me, but I think something else is going on down there, can you see what it is, you got a better view from up there."

While resting Pockets has time to open the mk 1 null-space chamber he found right before the attack. Not finding any cheese Pockets passes the rest of the contents to the team, then goes back to resting.

Inside is a laminated badge with Nindir’s picture and name, which identifies her as a market exhibitor; a university acceptance letter addressed to Rahosa; and a pair of simple metal wedding bands in a hand-sewn pouch.

"That was close I think I need to rest for a bit. What ever those things were I don't think they were happy just eating cheese."

Pockets yells "Ouch!" as his flesh is torn from the claws as he takes a guarder step back and fires at blue

Pockets panics and just starts shooting at red with a full attack

Pockets sees the clawed animal tracks and immediately draws his laser pistol and starts pointing it in all directions looking for something to shoot as he looks for cover, and says in a panicked voice.

"We're too late something ate them. I'm not going to let that happen to me!"

"Sounds like a good plan to me."

"I don't see a cheese stockpile, either they got the goods or this was never a cheese smuggling operation, to begin with. I wonder what else is in here?"

Pocket takes out his trusty datapad and brings up a checklist.

"Anyone else find anything I can check off the list?"

"It sounds like Nindir has a secret spot by the lake, I think it's a safe bet we should check that out."

Pockets makes sure everyone they talk to sees his safety inspector tag before talking, then taps his trusty datapad as he begins.
"Safety inspector Pockets at your service, just here for a safety check-up. We hear people are disappearing and want to make sure everyone is safe."

Pockets checks his trusty datapad and gives it another tap.
"Have you seen anyone suspicious around here lately?"

Diplomacy: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (13) + 2 = 15

"This cheese is great, I could see why someone might be willing to steal it, is there trade between the sea of grass and this Red Corridors? Maybe the people of the Red Corridors are kidnapping people to learn how to make their own cheese?"

Bringing an envoy sure worked better than bringing a sandwich :D

Pockets takes one bite of the cheese, and throws out his sandwich, then takes another bite from the cheese as he talks
"Wow this is good cheese, Nixxer have you tried this cheese? I love this cheese, best cheese I've ever had."

Pockets starts pacing in circles again thinking.
"Ok I got it, think I solved the issue with people disappearing, someone is after the cheese, were the people disappearing working with cheese?"

Pockets finally stops pacing
"I'd like to help out and make sure your cheese is safe, I mean the people working on the cheese. If you don't mind I'd like to do a safety inspection of the cheese farm and its equipment, if you throw in another slice of cheese. I'll even tune up all of your farm equipment I inspect it. I have to say this is the best cheese! Nixxer am I right? Best cheese ever."

Pockets stays close to Mazer for cover, and takes out his sandwich from his pocket.
"I'd be happy to share my sandwich if you can help us out."

Diplomacy Aid Salamazarin: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (2) + 2 = 4

"If we talk to the Vocation of Voices, we need to be sure to stick to whatever cover we can find. Once we get that done it sounds like the Red Corridors is a safer place."

"This area you call the sea of grass, sounds like that's where your farming is done here, is that a large open area? Half my relatives went missing never to be found after crossing large open areas without cover. Do you think there are any flying predators in there? What else can you tell us about the sea of grass?"

Pockets looks nervous just asking the question, as he looks around the room for the best places to hide.

"So if I got the plan right, we find the captain with the big name, Mazer does the talking, and I'll make sure the food is safe, this sandwich isn't going to last forever."

Pockets spends the rest of the trip inspecting the ship making sure it's working right. Sometimes Pockets can't be found as he takes a nap behind a maintenance panel.

Pockets looks at Grimalki
"So you were in on the dragon mission too? What's up with dragons not having a lot of treasure lately, it's like they got smart and started putting it all in a bank."

Pockets start pacing again thinking deeply about something.
"So if we really want to find the treasure we need a bank mission, not a dragon mission, think I'm on to something!"

Pockets taps his trusty datapad
"Yep, safety inspector, someone got to make sure these buckets of bolts can fly."
Pockets taps his trusty data pad again
"I got a big checklist for that."

Bluff: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (6) + 10 = 16

"Speaking of safety, how's everyone's starship role certification? I got a score of 10 for engineering, and 6 on the piloting exam."

"I don't know who designs these starship air ducts, but obviously, they don't realize how we actually use them. Nice to meet cha Nixxer, you can call me Pockets too, Everyone calls me Pockets. Would you like part of this sandwich I found yesterday?"

At the words of a dragon Pockets eyes go wide.
"Pockets here, everyone called me Pockets, nice to meet you Nippostia, nice tattoo. Ok got the names out of the way, now lets back up, did you just say dragon?"

Pockets starts pacing around in circles obviously excited about something.
"Sovellis, you didn't mention another mission with a dragon in it."

Pockets points at Sovellis as he keeps pacing in circles.
"Sovellis you are one lucky Elf. How many Starfinders get to go on two missions with a dragon in it? Wow that's amazing, I'm jealous, Ok I want to hear all about the dragon's treasure! You found it right?"

Pockets takes out the sandwich he found back at the docking bay and takes a bite.
"And I was all excited about finding this sandwich, wow more dragons, anyone else want a bite?"
