Sense motive results: Svetlanna is certainly telling the truth about herself not causing harm to any one. What those to whom she passes on said information end up doing? You get the feeling Svetlanna wouldn't really care.

Svetlanna smiles and offers a toast to your endeavors and her receiving of said share of spoils etc.

(^_~)

Svetlanna smiles happily, "Oh.. the who's and why's are all pretty much worked out, I'd be thinking. See, when it comes to those who've coin enough to do something like this? There's only so many around, y'know? So... Those who're in one group can kind of figure out those who're in another group." She sips again at her drink.

As for the where of things? Well.. a ship that big? Seems she can go where ever there's draft enough, hey? Though, talk is of some wheres a way down South. Though whether it's Rahadoum or even some place close to the Shackles? That's something that people can keep tabs on with other means." She hunches over her drink. "As for what might be in the hold? People can sneak into warehouses easy enough, I reckon."

"No. There's something else they're managing to keep a secret from folks." And Svetlanna frowns, "Of course, if I knew what it was.... I wouldn't be talking to yourself about things, hey?" She looks into Constantine's eyes.

"You've my word I intend no harm to befall any one." She replies honestly. (Though a 'Sense motive' might tell Constantine more than her pretty face might imply)

Svetlanna smiles, "Aye! Coin you'll have then! She declares, When you can tell me what it is that the Consortium is keeping secret." Her features again take on a 'Mue' of thought.

" Buut... to do that.. You'd have to, y'know, go looking to get hired by 'em." She arches an eyebrow to emphasize that she's actually asking a question.

Constantine is relieved when the food arrives, the hearty stew is not so adventurous or spicy, but it is both salted and peppered to perfection.....

Svetlanna gives a little chortle. "You're looking for what? Character references about an employer?" Her smirk might be one of bemusement.

"Well... S'pose it's better to be safe than sorry." She frowns a little.

More detail:
"The folks behind the whole thing? Yeah, they're well off. One is s'posed to be one of the senior wizards at the Academy or some such. I'd believe that. As for Von Fluyte? No one knows a lot about the Gnome." And she snorts lightly, "But then, who can say they do know a lot about Gnomes, hey?" She leans closer,

"What I'm interested in is what people aren't talking about. There's something special that the consortium is paying big money so as to be staying a secret." She looks intently now at Constantine, "So... are you interested in earning coin?"

"You know the usual seeking my fortune, making the world a better place, settling down....eventually."

"I was trying to see about passage on the fancy ship, but I am selective about who I work with, I do not sign blind contracts with faceless entities."

Svetlanna arches an eyebrow slightly at Constantine's comments. Leaning forwards slightly she takes her mug in both hands and begins to sip at its contents absently.

In a whisper she says:
"Well... the ship is new. She's barely been out of her slip-way a month. In that time there's been quite a stir. " She continues to sip, the tip of her tongue delicately licking at her lips as she does so.

"The whole thing dreamed up by a Gnome. 'Peeble Von Fluyte' or some such his name is. The ship came together in near on three months. Not like the year or more for any normal ship." Svetlanna glances towards a window and the harbor framed through its small panes beyond.

"Folks are all laying bets every which way about such a vessel even being sea worthy." She smiles and nods. "But, you've already heard the edges of things like that."

"Now, as for this 'Consortium'? T'is a collection of well to-do folks. There's one of the Grand Wizards from the academy, so they say. A Knightly Lord is another. Most are the folks who every one's been clamoring after what with the rumor of some ancient, dusty Rune Lord being defeated." She shrugs. "I'm not one to look into tales like that but there's folks who've survived adventure and come back all the richer for it. Seems they've bundled themselves together and 'invested' in this thing." She takes another sip from her tankard.

"Would you want anything more.. specific...? Or are you now interested in the price of information around these parts?" Svetlanna's cool gaze takes the measure of Constantine as he partakes of his meal having listened to what she's been saying up till now.

Home computer partially fixed and running. Sorry for slowing down in posts. Again, work schedule and Real Life interfering with what's important. (^_~)

"You know Svetlana, I am really trying to enjoy your company. I thought maybe you could tell me some more about you."

Constantine notes that, even thought the tavern is doing a good amount of business, the table to which you and Svetlanna move to has remained vacant the whole time you've been in the place. The serving lass is quick to take Svetlanna's and your orders and is prompt with returning/serving both of you. She smiles in reply to your question.

"Oh.. me? I'm just a girl about town." Her smile is bright and as honest as a lead coin. Her eyes remain focused on Constantine.

"So, I heard your questions to Marin. I've heard some things, listened to talk. What might your interest be?"

With a nod Svetlanna leads the way to the corner table/booth.

(Along the way Constantine might notice one or two things, hence maybe post a perception check or any other skill things they might like to do while navigating their way across the room?)

Once seated Svetlanna makes herself comfortable for a moment and the ales/mead/wine is brought to the table and placed before them. The serving lass gives Constantine an estimate on how long his meal will be in the preparations.

Svetlanna looks to/at Constantine.... waiting... for a moment.

Svetlanna's mue of displeasure deepens into a frown. She seems to think for a moment.

"Okay... there's a table over there in the corner," She indicates with a nod of her head.

"Perhaps we could go over there. You have a descent meal while maybe we have a chat?"

She smiles, "Svetlanna...." At Constantine comment of 'affordability' it is replaced by a mue of disappointment.

"So... You're in town and seeking...?" She asks.

Svetlanna nods, "hmmm.. though this is an ocean port. The fish is usually fresher than the beef." She shrugs, "Usually cheaper, too..." She looks at Constantine.

"Are you buying for one... or two..."

"Hello...care to join me?"

Constantine surveys the busy tavern hoping that one of the things he smells is either pot roast or ham.......

The woman slides closer smiling, "Thank you." She too glances at the menu, "The sturgeon is fresh and the lemon sauce is spiced nicely." She offers her opinion. She wears a nice outfit, a blouse and light, multi-ruffled skirts all cut to the latest fashion that Constantine has seen of some of the wealthier woman about town.

A woman moves up closer to Constantine at the tavern where he's partaking of their fine fare.

"Hello...." She offers in a quiet and sultry voice.
