Canadian Woods – Pentex Strip Mine After hours more of searching, the pack finds the location where they believe Bill's Bawn may be located. Despite wandering around a bit, he does not materialize. However, a small woodland creature with wings does! "What do you seek here?" You hear it's voice within your own mind, it's a bit disconcerting and Howls growls a bit in response. Oi, sorry for the delay. Save the XP for something better!

I opted against a long drawn out fight scene here. If either Howls or Kindo come back they can jump right in, I'll DMPC them for now. You are slightly more than half way through the adventure so let's see how it goes, with two of you it should be relatively quick.
Shadow's Status
Canadian Woods – Pentex Strip Mine The wolves and the tortoise get the drop on the first teamers! Fang, claw, and scale are in their midst amidst the blizzard almost faster than the bullets fly from Sylas' stolen guns. Just as quickly, there are 4 dead guards. Fomori they may have been but they were no match for werewolves when caught unawares. The last sees discretion as the better part of valor and flees, faster than he ought to! Gabriel ONLY Intelligence+Occult DC 7 2 Successes:
This one may well have Vampire blood coursing in his veins if what the Dancer leader said was true. Good thing you slew them so quickly. However, despite your victory, the sounds of gunshots may bring more guards and more were's, a losing proposition. Howls shifts to Glabro, "We should go, regroup, try to find the Wendigo perhaps!? Bring this Fomori corpse for proof".

Canadian Woods - Howls, Kindo, and Sylas The pack makes ts way back, this time ready for combat in full war forms. As you near the mine site through the driving snow, you find the operation ready for danger. Instead of lazy patrols of mortals, the patrols are made of wyrm tainted humans! Each wields an automatic weapon and you've no doubt those clips are filled with silver bullets. The two groups circle the inner section of the fence. Still, they've not the sense to spot your group in this blinding snow, at least not until you are upon them. Each group has seven members, it seems they are on high alert. Even with the blinding snow, it'll be a Dexterity+Stealth DC 8 test - 2 successes each to sneak past. You could also wait for the groups to be as far apart as possible to attack though you'd still be badly outnumbered.

Canadian Woods – Pentex Strip Mine - Gabriel Gabriel tries once and then a second time where he is able to pull himself from the ceiling and break the links that bind the chains together. He waits but after the moments slip by Guides does not return! The guards do not appear to be back yet, do you wait longer or try and escape now?

The manacles you'll need keys to get off so you'll take the Gnosis loos till you get rid of them but at least you'll be able to move! Erik looks to you all, "We need aid and we need it right now. I suggest we split up and see what we can find. I'll go back to the Wendigo maybe the rest of you can find that Icedagger and his pack?" No, the Near Umbra pseudo simply vanishes. Here in the Wilderness you can try and step sideways with a high enough roll. However, the Umbra may be as if not more dangerous than Gaea! Up to your group if you wish to risk it.

The two pack members are bound by chains made of silver - Guides bound to the floor while Gabriel is bound to the ceiling hanging upside down he is in Crinos form. Guides also has a silver muzzle on his mouth as he is in his Wolf form.
The muzzle does not prevent talking though it does garble his speech. As none of the damage sustained was Aggravated, all of your wounds are healed. You can attempt to shift but the chains seem designed to stay on regardless of the shift based on how tight they are. Make Strength rolls DC 9 - 3 Successes to break free of your chains though you may want to make the checks below first. As you are in contact with Silver, your effective Gnosis is temporarily 1 point lower. Make Perception+Alertness rolls DC 8. Perception+Alertness rolls DC 8 - 1 Success:

A brabmble of thorns tears at their coats though with his armored skin, Kindo does not even feel it, Sylas slides right under. As the pack comes to a stop, the snow has ceased! A hot spring pool serves as a centerpiece to lush vegetation that thrives around the pool. A tall rock wall shoots up on one side from the forest floor bordering one side of the pool. Th sweet smell of spring earth is quite clear here. This is a protected place, a place of great beauty. Howls recognizes that somehow, some way, the pack has slipped into the near Umbra. The temperatures are freezing and it seems that even their foes are not mad enough to try and track them out here. Kindo points ion what he thinks is the direction they retreated from. Thoroughly lost, the young pups must decide which way to go to find shelter and if available, aid. Make another set of Perception+Survival rolls DC variable. Playing in 20+ games and running 26 (soon to be 27) is time consuming. Outside of the boards I have a fairly busy work schedule and of course a life! Often I find that if I fall behind in updates, I need to make time to simply update a Discussion Thread to inform the PCs of a particular game that I am either going to be posting later in the day or week or will be on a break form the boards for one reason or another. To save time updating so many damn threads I am going to open this thread and link all of my DM aliases (and PC aliases) to this thread to inform people as to status. Of course if people feel the need to ask other questions outside of PbP feel free to do so but mainly this will be a thread dedicated to ensuring that my PCs know my status and to assure everyone that even though I may have some absences away from the boards (or particular games) that new thread will always be up to date with my status.
