As a sample, here is listings for the Friday 2 pm slot
1 table of PFS(1ed)
1 table of Pathfinder Academy
23 tables of PFS(2nd)
13 tables of SFS

I suspect that this is going to be updated before tickets go live but I have no actual intel on that.

In looking at the events catalog, non-Paizo events are scheduled in over half of the Sagamore Ballroom. (laser tag, bridge simulators, miniature hobby events, etc)

For comparison, in 2019 there were 80-90 six-person tables per session. So with half the space, 35-40 tables per session is probably the max they can handle. Better than last year with *no* tables, but still pretty slim pickings...

Honestly, since exhibitor badges work totally different than attendee badges, the rollover deadline wasn't even on our radar. We simply made our decision and chose to release the details when we did. If we would have realized there was a rollover deadline looming, we would have pushed to get our message out earlier.

Thanks Jeff - that's all the explanation I was looking for. I totally understand the decision, and look forward to seeing you back in Indy next year!

Now we aren't going to be at the physical show

And so the question remains - why was this announced two days *after* the window closed for attendees to roll over their Gencon badges to next year?

Options include, but are not limited to:
- Paizo wasn't aware of the rollover date
- Paizo was aware of the rollover date but couldn't make a decision by then because _____
- Paizo was aware of the rollover date but didn't feel the need to make an announcement by then
- Between the rollover date and the announcement date ______ changed

There *is* a reason, and while some of us may or may not like the answer, I don't think it's too much to ask for an explanation of that reason.

Roger that - Soldier mode it is. Thanks for the feedback!!

So I see that there will be two difficulty levels for the adventure, Soldier (you're more likely than normal to die) and Champion (you will very possibly die).

Any info on the potential rewards vs the risk? i.e. 'If you survive Champion Mode you can expect double the usual Gold and a couple of really interesting Chronicle abilities" vs "You'll get the same Gold per tier regardless of which mode you play"...

Also, how much of a disability will I be at if I don't have multiple high-level "Aid Characters" and have to rely on pregens?

I've only been playing Pathfinder for a couple of years and have *just* achieved a 5th level character. While I'd love to take part in the Final Episode At Gencon, I'm concerned that it's set up to cater to players who have been playing forever and have multiple high-level characters and that I'll get massacred in the process, which doesn't help me *or* the table...

So I see that at least some of the Pathfinder events, but there are only two slots of PFS Academy and they're both Thursday morning. Anybody know if there are going to be more slots released or if this is it? Last year there were games running throughout the weekend, but perhaps most people want to GM the Playtest instead?

My daughter and I aren't getting to Gencon until Friday night this year, so if those are the only openings then we're out of luck...

BUMP... Same problem here...

Given the new info about the release of the Playtest rules, any idea if PSA will still be using First Edition, or if it will transition to the Playtest rules as well?

I'd love to try out the new ruleset, and it seems sub-optimal to train kids completely new to the genre on a system that's in the process of being phased out, but at the same time I imagine it's a fair amount of work to completely re-design the content, so I can see the advantage of waiting another year and converting directly to the final Second Edition rules...

We'll likely be playing PSA either way, just curious what we can look forward to as we close in on Event Registration. :)

Thanks so much for the info! Should I sign up to play as well, or are the player slots just for the kids?

Not sure if it's too early to ask this yet, but with badge registration open and housing registration swiftly approaching I was wondering if there's going to be PFS Academy at Gencon this year?

My daughter's going to be turning 10 right around then, and I'm thinking it might be time for her first Gencon experience. I'd love to get her started in PFS (and really, RPGs in general... she's a halfway decent Magic player and plays a mean game of Pandemic, but has yet to dig into the RPG space) and PFS Academy seems like a great way to do it.

Any advice or info would be much appreciated!

Is it safe to assume that the assigned tables are in the RPG Dungeon? Being a first-time con I expect it will take some time to learn to navigate the geography...
