"I give up. If we reach Goblins, I'll tell em a joke. Obviously I have been too quick to judge before!" Ji-hwan readied himself to strike, just in case something attack him or one of his allies in reach, before continuing to listen in wonder.
Ji-hwan sighed and began to cross the bridge, moving slowly till he was 20ft out, before turning back. "Ayame follow me please. Let's try get across. If I don't get you back to town your sister will hate me for life."
Ji-hwan holds up his hand to stop conversation, waiting for a second to make sure of what he was hearing, before nodding. He turned to the group again and frowned. "They are leaving. Walking on something wooden? A bridge perhaps!" He turned then to the Half-Orc. "I apologize. Of course a man who has your racial background would feel like that. And you are right, I sometimes let hate blind me. But I know you to be a good man, I know that you are not like the darker members of your tribe. I know that there are some good Goblins but I also know that there are some who eat babies, kill and eat puppies and burn down our houses,"
Ji-hwan frowned, glancing around him and chewing on his lip, ignoring the Half-Orc as he did. He made sure that he kept beside Ayame, keeping his promise to Ameiko being his main wish.
Ji-hwan was about to reply to the Half-Orc before the beast attacked. He gritted his teeth and moved up after the man, beside the little Ninja. Pulling a tonfa from the sash at his waist, spinning it up and in to rest against his forearm, he raised his shield high before jabbing out at the spider.
"So lie? Because I do want to kill them. They threaten our settlements, kill our people and almost burned our town to the ground. I very much want to see these evil creatures dead. When your words fail I'll be here to help you give them the justice they deserve!"
I also threw in to the Ameiko Ayame conversation.
Earlier Ji-hwan stood glaring at the Half-Orc, his fingernails digging in to the palms of his hands. He began to reach for the pouch at his waist, before stopping, taking a calming breath. As the others file out of the Rusty Dragon slowly, Ji-hwan walked in to the kitchen, coughing softly to announce himself and not scare the two women inside. "I will go with Ayame and watch her back Ameiko, you haven't to fear. I will bring her back, I promise." He bowed, smiling slightly, before nodding towards the door. "Come, or we will be left behind. Better to travel in a group, rather than alone." Brinestump Ji-hwan walks slowly beside Ayame, keeping his eyes peeled and his mouth shut, watching his surroundings as he moved along the road, staring out in to the swampy undergrowth.
Ji-hwan strolls over to the fire and takes a second, warming his hands by the glow, before crouching before the wolf and holding his hand out towards it slowly, offering a thin sliver of meat. As he does this he begins to speak to the man who is attempting to tame the wolfs fur. "Well met Gozzamer-san, what news have you from the outer reaches? Where is your master gone today?"
Ji-hwan sighed, "Make it and I'll wear it on special occasions. Wouldn't do to make the little one angry after all." He grinned playfully at Ayame.
Ji-hwan laughed softly. "Pin me and I'll wear a purple sash!"
"Court, Festivals and special celebrations. But apart from that..." He turned slowly, running a hand down over his body as he did. "What Sarhashil says is true, it is too easy to grab, too easy to get tangled. Better to wear something simple!"
Ji-hwan smiled as the young girl piped up, glancing at the Half-Orc as he did. "My clothes are simple, plain and breathable. They are built to be disposable, something I will not mind getting dirty or damaged. The colours are dark to show modesty and plainly made to show my dedication to my ancestors and the Mountain Lord. I appreciate your tips my friend and when we have need to buy new clothes I will certainly take your ideas in to account, if I have need of court clothes."
"Grandmother does have some beautiful vestments she brought with her from the Old country, I could probably get her to take them up for the little one..." Ji-hwan arched an eyebrow at the Half-Orc man.
I tend to try play closer to my age. Though I wanted to make Ji slightly younger.
