Snicker pauses on the verge of launching herself towards the second leech, recoiling as the second wave of leech-guts-stink hits her nose. "Is that all of them? I don't hear any more. They really do smell worse on the inside!"

She freezes, snout held high and ears perked, but no more hirudinea make themselves known...

Snicker relaxes, resuming her unassuming stance and helping prepare dinner over the next few hours. As the group returns to Hyrantam, she resolves to pay a visit to Fliptown herself, hoping to try more Grippli cuisine and maybe pick up a few coins in some dice games...

Snicker winces slightly as she feels the damp contents of the leech splatter the area. "Maneki? Are you okay? I hope none of this is yours..."

Snicker distracts the red leech and pokes it just right - its head explodes and it dies from the successful feint and critical hit!

Only miss chance at 20 feet or greater - no hero point spent for you!

Snicker's blind, so she has a miss chance DC 5 for any target, but it never goes higher than that.

Snicker yips in surprise as the red leech seems to come out of nowhere and latches onto Maneki. "I smell another one to the southwest, but hold on, Maneki!"

Snicker quickly moves through Maneki's space and tries to distract the oversized bloodsucker (Feint!: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (16) + 6 = 22) before poking at its writhing body (Attack!: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (20) + 7 = 27) with her cane. "We need to get some of those fruits to make this a fair match, I think!"

If that's a hit, damage would be damage: 1d6 ⇒ 4. If the Feint was a success, then the attack will be a Confident Finisher, adding +Precision damage: 2d6 ⇒ (6, 3) = 9, or half that on a miss.

Haha! With the crit, I think that's 26 damage, if the feint worked!

Whoops, forgot my miss chance (DC 5)... hope this works out. miss chance: 1d20 ⇒ 4

Snicker quickly moves toward the cat as Snack clings to her shoulder. "Aha, scat, scat! Get outta here!" she cries, waving her cane threateningly towards the apparent predator...

Probing Cane: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (8) + 7 = 15

As the group travels through the thick foliage, Snicker adopts a peculiar jumping gait in an effort to keep the biting insects from gaining purchase on her skin. Snack chirps in alarm and burrows deeper into her carrier.

Reflex!: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (10) + 9 = 19

With her equipment thoroughly soaked, Snicker tries to assemble a shelter to allow a small fire to dry some of the worst of it.

Crafting: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (15) + 5 = 20

Snicker straightens up and lifts her snout, sniffing the air. "I don't smell anyone too nearby, except us. Does anyone need to do any morning preparations, or should we just have breakfast and get moving?"

Not really waiting for an answer, Snicker digs some sweetbuns out of her pack and starts munching as she does her morning stretches.

Snicker carefully sniffs the prints and, for just a moment, peers through Snack's eyes to get the full view of the tracks...

"Yes, those do look like Grippli prints. If it weren't for the rain, I think could follow, but well... No idea on the other ones. If you say cat, I'm sure you're right," she smiles and shrugs.

As she feeds torn up bits of bread to Snack, Snicker recounts her childhood on the streets of Riddleport, losing her eyesight to disease and resolving never to be taken advantage of. She spent difficult years learning to defend herself, fine-tuning her hearing and scent to detect and even anticipate her opponents' moves and perhaps most importantly, to hide her abilities from her enemies.

She nestles down into a blanket to listen to the other recount their own tales and even offers a few quiet suggestions to Ecmund of entertaining 'slants' for some of their anecdotes.

When the group prepares for bed, Snicker ponders for a moment before piping up, "I don't know if you could call it a watch, but I don't mind taking the last shift awake. I'll do better detecting foes upwind, mind you, but with all this rain, the smells here are glorious. I wish you all could share it!"

Snicker supresses a smile, enjoying the newcomers' reiteration of Kromrock's earlier exposition. "I believe we're all here now. Are we ready to leave, or is there anything else we should take care of before departing?" Snicker crosses her arms as they rest on top of her red-tipped cane and inclines her head towards Ecmund. Snack looks at the self-described noble, head cocked and whiskers twitching. Hush, he's just Taldan.

I think we've got six glyphs to share out, more than enough for everyone to start with two.

Snicker nods politely at the newcomer, possibly with a glint of mischief in her eye. "It's a delight to meet you, Already. Do you have experience travelling in the jungle?"

I've got two glyphs, so I'll share those to Kromrock and Milo. Hopefully there's at least one more available!

Snicker spends a bit of time chatting with some locals, shamelessly playing up her blindness to open conversations, in the hopes of learning a few things about the nearby wilderness before heading into it.

Ah, well, looks like they were pretty superficial conversations!

A white-furred Ysoki strolls down the gangplank, her red-tipped cane carefully tapping out the edges as a rat cuddles on her shoulder, taking cover against the rain. Her nose twitches, picking up the scent of an unrecognized Dwarf tinged with the sharp sting of nickel and iron and the low hum of smouldering tobacco.

I'm pleased to meet you, Ecmund. Your reputation described you well! I'm Snicker, and this is Snack, she indicates the rat, who seems to raise a paw in greeting as well. We travel light, so we can leave whenever you're ready.

The Ysoki shifts her cane to her left hand and holds the right one out in greeting, her eyes undirected, but blinking occasionally against the rain. So many new smells here! And the journey is certain to lead to even more... And who are these others? Another Dwarf, but mixed with humus and wet stone, and a Human who smells faintly of ash and formaldehyde... Wasn't there another on board?

I apparently mis-typed and meant to say "whichever comes last" ...whoops. At present I only see two people signed in for the game and four loaded into the macros/slides.

Given it's the weekend, I'll give everyone else a little bit more to check in and etc.

If I'm not one of those signed in for the game, what do I need to do? I've filled out the macros and slides, and my character's listed in the Characters panel. Is there a signup sheet as well?

Edit: Nevermind, I found it, and apparently I had signed in already. :)
