The Ravaged Zone is a mysterious and unexplored area of the galaxy. Most of the ships that went there never returned. The few crews that returned from there told blood-curdling stories about the White Demons and the Protector of the Seven Heavens. Another significant feature of this region is the surprisingly low level of magic, which meant that the drift drive did not function properly and travel and scanning with magic was significantly hampered. There have been no signals from there indicating the existence of an advanced interstellar civilization, and many scientists consider this region to have been devastated by the Hive, which, as we know, is not true.
However, for the past five years, the zone has been attracting increasing interest among the galaxy's main players. More and more ships, for various reasons, are entering the zone and, more importantly, returning from there, bringing news of both devastated planets and immeasurable riches waiting for anyone who reaches out to claim them. Some even say that somewhere out there is the home world of the First Ones, the civilization that built the sacred cities on Abbalon and created the Anacyte race, the legendary Eternia. But something entirely different has piqued the interest of the galaxy's most important mortals.
About five years ago, the defense systems of most of the galaxy's inhabited planets detected an attack from the center of the Ravaged Zone, from a previously undetected planet, which was repeated several months later. The terrified leaders of the galaxy decided to keep everything secret so as not to cause panic. It took five years to take more concrete steps. It was decided to organize a research and exploration fleet whose task was to explore the Ravaged Zone, find those responsible for the attack and, if necessary, pacify them. Lord Admiral Antares volunteered to command the fleet, using his numerous contacts among politicians. He is a mercenary and a hero of the wars with the Swarm. He commands his own warfleet called the Fearless Armada. Thirty years ago he was the de facto ruler of the planet Tarak, but after the outbreak of a bloody civil war he was expelled from there. In addition to him, Lady Cala Grayskull from the planet Carurystal volunteered to join the expedition and offered maps of the Ravaged Zone with a mysterious planet called Etheria marked on it. The founder of her family, Mara, was said to have descended from him. She decided, together with her mentor Miss Daisy, a gloomy elven mystic who had a scarred face behind a holographic mask, to go on an expedition deep into the Zone to collect data for the fleet and deliver a gift to the people of Etheria.
Meanwhile, on Etheria, everyone is preparing to celebrate Victory Day to mark the five years since the defeat of Horde Prime and the weddings of Grand Marshal Catra and Adora/She-Ra, as well as Queen Glimmer and Techmaster Bow. The situation for Etheria and nearby planets is complicated. The fall of Horde Prime led to the outbreak of widespread rebellion on most of the occupied planets. The victory was not easy, but without the guidance of the mad tyrant, the clones were unable to face the fighters fighting for their freedom. But it happens, the war does not end with winning, that's when the real problems begin. At the beginning, everyone only thought that they could finally take a break after all these years of war and start rebuilding. Etheria automatically became a model for other worlds, but also the first place people went to for help and support. Queen Glimmer decided to create a galactic alliance, which many worlds occupied by the Horde expressed their willingness to join... but not all of them. However, it took some time to finalize the agreement, and in the meantime the situation began to get more complicated...
An empire so large and ruled in such an authoritarian manner cannot fall immediately. In many places, sometimes even entire planets, the clones resisted, believing that Horde Prime was not dead but was testing them all and they had to persevere. Some of them stick to their position even after all these years, remaining entrenched on the planets conquered by the mad dictator, fulfilling his last orders. Others joined one of his Successors.
Horde Ultimate proclaimed himself the chosen one and prophet of Horde Prime. He proclaims that Horde Prime was treacherously murdered by the Lady of Chaos, but his light has flowed onto all who served him faithfully, and he now lives within each of them. Only by faithfully following his commands, and of course the commands of his prophet Horde ultimate, can they ignite the glow of his light within themselves. Horde Ultimate created a hierarchical society. Those who have proven their loyalty may be granted many privileges, in the case of clones it could even be a name. Horde Ultimate's right hand is Drow Women Shimeh, the voice of Horde Prime, a mystic from outside the Empire, specifically from Apostate.
The Seven Heavenly Brothers cultivate the ancient traditions of Horde Prime, considering all those who did not join them as heretics. They reside on a shattered moon and preach that Horde Prime left because of the sins of their brothers and the darkness that lay within their hearts, the quintessence of which was the terrible deed of the Brother who called himself Hordak. Although they do not want to create clones, they create various monsters and have many chipped subjects.
Meanwhile, on Etheria, the situation has also become more complicated. Despite the war ending and victory, many are not satisfied with its outcome. One of those people is Lonnie. She didn't want to serve in the Etherian army under Catra's command, but she knew almost nothing beside war. So she gathered the remaining cadets around her and decided to start a People's Rebellion. She wasn't very successful at first, but thanks to a map of Castle Crypto provided by a former cadet and now sorcerer named Scarlet, she managed to take over Entrapta's former headquarters, now abandoned by her. She was soon hailed by the inhabitants of Dryll, who felt abandoned by their former ruler, the Protector of their country. She proclaimed herself Comrade General. The demands of the People's Rebellion are: Punishment of prominent members of the Horde, i.e. Hordak, Catra and Entrapta. Taking power away from the princesses and giving it to the people of Etheria, exiling all the clones and permanently isolating Etheria from the rest of the galaxy. The People's Rebellion does not have many supporters yet, and the only land that openly supports it are the Star Islands ruled by the Star Sisters (not to be confused with the Star siblings).
Ideas for starting a campaign.
Damsel is disaster. – Lady Cala Grayskull's ship, which she once traveled with her mentor Miss Daisy, was damaged by an attack by undoubtedly nefarious forces and had to land on the planet Saltmarsh bordering the zone. She is looking for a new means of transport. Will players support the noble lady of ancient origins and her noble companion?
In the service of the Lord Admiral - the Research and Exploration Fleet consists of both veterans of the Swarm Wars serving in the Fearless Armada, as well as newly enlisted adventurers ready to face the evil that the Zone holds. Although there are dark rumors about the Admiral and his past, as well as his entourage, according to the media, he is a hero of the galaxy.
In the name of Her Majesty - She-Ra and other princesses cannot be divided and cannot be everywhere, and in order to create an alliance, you need to convince as many inhabitants of the former Empire as possible of the need to unite and fight for freedom together. That's why Queen Glimmer sent Emissaries whose task is to gain sympathy and support from the inhabitants of other planets
For freedom! – although the mad dictator has been defeated, his heirs still hold fragments of his empire with an iron fist. Will players want to join heroes like the Star siblings and fight for freedom?
