Hey all, I've been toying with the idea of making a spy type character for a homebrew campaign that my friend is running. The campaign itself is that we have to take over a powerful organisation using any means that we can come up with. As for the character I am wondering if you guys can spot any major weaknesses in my build and how I could address them. My goal is to have a character that isn't up to a straight up fight but uses many dirty tricks to get his way. Here is the build for lv 11 and lv 18
Lv 11 Build
Feats: Dodge, Mobility, Combat Reflexes, Weapon Finesse, Quickdraw, Iron Will, Deceitful
Rogue Talents: Underhanded, Bleeding attack, Deft Palm Offensive Abilities: Summon Shadow, Sneak attack +4d6, Defensive Abilities: Evasion, Uncanny Dodge
thanks Rednal. I think I should've been more specific. I wanna ramp up the horror factor that these monsters bring. The concrete monster is completely impervious to injuries of any kind (Assumed as high caliber gunfire was useless) and the Peripheral monster usually does nothing more than simply freak people out with an occasional sighting on their peripheral vision.
Hey everyone I have a couple things that I would like to talk about today.
Thanks for your reply's, it helps a lot. Just to add a little more info out there the GM does a laissez faire sort of GMing as in he's simply the storyteller/narrator and all party issues are to be dealt with by the party. All in all we do well with this kind of thing. Anyway thanks again, it's highly appreciated.
Hello everyone I know that this issue comes up sporadically, but I was wondering what your opinions are on this matter. The Campaign: High level evil campaign where everyone gets an artifact that if lost turns your character back to lv 1. The Situation: One of the players fully betrays the party, attacking us on several occasions and even attempting to flood out a dungeon that we were in. The GM is fully for player vs player combat as long as it leaves no hard feelings. Anyway my character caught his off guard and turned him to ash round 1. The player was very angry at me for doing this so I got him resurrected and let him off with a warning and he proceeds to attack us more maliciously then before so He was ashed again which made him severely more jaded towards me. The question: How would you guys have dealt with him as a character and as a player?
Thanks everyone, I think that I'd just have to get by without AAT now, I was having a bit of trouble with it because I'd have to replace something that I usually fin necessary in my builds but I also find not dying very important to my builds. Also I'm building towards being able to do many things with this character because as the name suggests ever since the first time I've layed the rogue character I've never had enough skill points. I craft my characters to being able to deal with any situation put in front of them which is why I'm taking a dip In alchemist. By the way that thing that I'd have swapped it for is Craft wondrous item which I think I'd use quite a lot due to the very slow paced game that I'm in (Frostbite sucks majorly leaving nearly the entire party fatigued and I'm pretty sure soon that endure elements will stop being viable)
Thank you everyone for the advice. You have helped me a lot with this particular conundrum (also my stats are Str 12 Dex 18 Con 12 Int 19 Wis 14 Cha 15: I rolled very well. Also I am playing up to Lv 16-18 and playing the reign of winter campaign/ snows of summer) also planning on going Rogue 2 Internal Mindchemist vivesectionist alchemist 1 admixture wizard 3 arcane trickster 10 Loremaster 2. My party is made of casual gamers with a caster Druid, support cleric, "god" wizard and a switch hitter ranger. Thanks again everyone for your quick replies and helpful advice.
Hello everyone I'm new to paizo but have been playing pathfinder for over a year I was just wondering if in your opinion I should take the arcane armour training feat for my arcane trickster. (By the way I am currently a Lv 2 rogue and my party is primarily composed of ranged characters, also I have read both arcane trickster guides I just would like some more opinions) thanks |
