Yeah, sorry, it's been a busy week, I'm trying to get leveled, but have not actually had a chance. Sorry. I'll try to get it done tonight.
Sindare stands in the background, waiting for the witch to capitulate, or for something to go terribly wrong.
Sindare reaches up and grabs Unk by the shoulders, "Let's wait just a moment friend. Just to be sure."
Sindare looks around, unsure, "Something is very wrong here," he says. His eyes dart this way and that, trying to determine the source of the ominous feeling in his gut.
Sindare begins to help breaking down the door.
Sindare looks at the others, "If we are having touble, perhaps we could break it in," he suggests.
Sindare steps around the spider and to the door. He knocks loudly and calls out, "Hello! Is anybody home?"
Sindare steps to the side, bringing his fist into the giant spider, trying to strike a strategic blow. He then whips around, plunging the siangham he holds into the creatures side.
Sindare moves forward carefully. As he gets within reach of the large pincers, he quickly tumbles, dodging around them and brings his Siangham up to strike at the spider.
Sindare moves forward, spear out as he approaches the spider, but he does so warily for the moment.
Thanks, yeah. I'm excited for it. I mainly write, but also dabble in art, working on increasing my skill there.
Just giving a heads up now. I will be at a scifi/fantasy convention for artists and writers this Thursday, Friday and Saturday. I will try to post as best I can, but I honestly do not expect to have time to do much, if any posting.
Sindare nods, then pulls out what looks like a very small spear, head affixed with a small red cloth. He looks on to where the spider sits, intent look on his face, seemingly ready for battle.
Sindare shakes his head, "This is not good. If no one else wishes to grow, I may take it. It will effect my ability to hit, but I'm sure I can hurt the creature more." Sindare's teeth bare as he prepares himself to fight such a monster. "Should we start as we had before, trying to get this creature to approach us?"
Sindare grabs the rope and tries to pull his way across. He makes no progress at first, unused to the rushing water, but finally gets his groove under him and pulls himself across.
I don't need to remove anything, but at best I've got +0
Sindare nods at the now completed grappling hook, then steps forward to take it. He swings it a few times before letting it fly to the other bank.
Sindare looks at the flowing water and seems to deflate after a moment. "I have some," he motions to the rope dart at his side, "but it is not enough."
Sindare nods to them, "I am glad we were able to save the two of you. Good luck on your journey home, and be safe."
Sindare starts to go over to the tree to climb, but by the time he makes it there, Unk has already brought the squirming bundle down. He immediately runs over to check on them and see if they need help, but finally shrugs, "I do not know enough about what is happening to help this person. You did well, Unk, in bringing them down, and you Fred in catching them." He claps both men on the back, a large, yet somewhat awkward smile on his face as he does
Sindare walks calmly back to where he'd dropped the rope dart. He wipes his sickle off with a spare cloth, then folds it and puts it back in his bag, while sheathing the kama and reattaching the rope to his belt. Once he's done these, he looks up at the struggling form on the web. Sindare purses his lips and scowls. "Anyone have ideas on how we can get up there?" he asks, looking around for nearby branches or something else to climb.
Sindare strikes out again, his Kama striking quickly here, then there as he tries to down the spider in front of him.
Sindare drops the rope, then moves quickly around the spiders, till he ends behind the second spider. He draws the short sickle as he does. There he strikes quickly into the creatures flesh, trying to stop it from devouring his new friend.
Okay, it took me a minute to decipher what you'd said Unk, but I think I get it now. Essentially, with the Web Extraordinary Ability, you should get a +5 bonus due to the fact that you "have something to walk on" (namely the ground). But from my reading that should only apply to the sheets of webbing, not the touch attack webbing, but I'm not sure. Also, the -4 doesn't apply to Escape Artist, so I think the choices are, maybe add 5 to each depending on GM interpretation of the second paragraph of the Web Extraordinary Ability: 1) STR: + 3 - 4 2) Escape Artist: - 1
Sindare continues staring at the foul creatures, watching and waiting for them to come.
Sindare steps up next to Wizzer and pulls out the rope with a long spike attached at the end. He starts spinning the end of it, off to the side, in slow arcs as if preparing to throw.
Sindare stops grabbing hold of Wizzer as he does, "Look there, spiders ahead." He looks around at the surrounding forest, "I wonder if we could find a way around them," he suggests.
Yes indeed.
"If we can bring them back, we will." Sindare bows his head gravely, then steps out behind his new, somewhat oblivious companion. "I knew some people like you back home. They were good, I liked them. I will try to keep you from joining them in the world beyond," he smiles at Unk, as if this was reassuring, then Sindare pulls out a blade, almost like a short sickle, and tests the edge before nodding, satisfied, and putting it back in his belt.
Sindare shakes his head as the large number of people leaves. He stands at the back, tattoos covering his face and hands. He wears lose clothing that covers arms and legs, but walks around with bare feet. Various strange weapons hang attached to his belt and backpack, one looks almost like an arrow while another send to be a spike at the end of a rope. Sindare finally steps forward as the crowd leaves and attempts a bow, though it is obvious that the actions are unfamiliar to him. "I am Sindare Redtears, of the Ts'eenntelh clan in the Ch'eesvn mountains." He stops looking around then adds, "Umm, at your service . . ." he trails off, unsure at the end. When Junior pulls out there coin, Sindare leans close as well, trying to hear the strange coin. "This . . . Fred? He speaks to you?"
