Today has been so hectic and busy... Murphy decided to visit the office while I was gone... That said, remember that I travel this week. I fly out Wed morning for the rest of the week. I'll try to post tomorrow if I get the chance but If its anything like today was... No promises.

Sinathel eyed the box and the man that came from it with a healthy dose of skepticism. She senseductress out to the world around her as she approached the man. Her gaze rove over him and that strange box of his. She moved like the predators of her home jungle, silent and powerful. Discern Realities: 2d6 + 3 ⇒ (6, 5) + 3 = 14

Learn something new? Yes, Temellen wasn't an elf.
Bonds - I have an old one with Mylthanrial, should I just go ahead and mark it off? I don't feel my current bond with Olivius has resolved. So I shall keep that for now. Resolving: Bolus is a strange man from the future, but he seems to see the beauty in nature.
Adding: Dambreth has almost been taken from me twice now. I will do everything in my power to protect him. Holding off on doing more with bonds just for the moment. Alignment: We did destroy this orc community, along with the beacon. So I'd say that's destroying a symbol of civilization. So that brings me to +5 EXP for a total of 12 EXP (not counting if I may resolve the old bond still hanging around) I'm going to level up, but I need to think some on which move to take.

Upon spotting Bolus, Sinathel landed near them. She looked each of them over from her landing space before aiding Dambreth in his dismounting. She huddled protectively over him as she checked his status. When the hobgoblin aproached she watched carefully till she was sure of his motives to help Dambreth. Seeing her cousin in much better health and learning of Temellen's demise at Olivius's hand, she released her hold on her drake form. Her form began to shrink and turn more humanoid in form. The verdant scales changed colors and began to mold together forming hides of various patterns and prints along with skin and hair. Soon Sinathel was back in her true form, covered in dirt, debris and small scratches. Smiling at Olivius, "You have become quite the hunter." Safely stowing her egg, Sinathel paused as the others headed towards the downed ship to look towards Bolus. "Do you need me to stay to help?" She kept glancing after Dambreth, her concern ovious.

Blast Damage: 1d6 - 1 ⇒ (3) - 1 = 2 17/19 HP Sinathel did her best to shield Dambreth from the worst of the explosion. She felt the heat and shards of stone and debris against the scales of her belly. The Shockwave that followed jarred her bones but she kept aloft and the damage seemed minor to herself. She let out a concerned and questioning tone towards Dambreth checking on him. As she begins to search for Olivius and Bolus, concerned for them as well.

Speaking of possible absences, I will be traveling to be a Pack Mule later this week to move my sister out of her dorm (Thursday night through Saturday) and next week I shall be flying out for a work related Trade Show (Wed through Saturday/Sunday). While the hours of the trade show are short each day, I shall be dependent on the hotel internet and not having work things come up.

Flying over Olivius, she was relieved to see him relatively unharmed and heeding their warning to speedily vacate the current vacinity. Though that other elf did not apear to take their warning to heart. Oh well, that elf had made her choice. Sinathel continued her speedy retreat from the impending explosion.

I have no qualms with how you have spent her hold :) How you have spent both last time and this time is just how I would have spent it. She still has one left and that's enough to hold her form to fly away and that's what matters right now. Plus... that's HER egg XD With the egg and her cousin secured, Sinathel takes flight with relief and determination in her eyes. 'Flee while you can! When it explodes, it will destroy what is near!' Letting out a vocal cry of warning as well as a message to any of The People that might be near by to flee, Sinathel aims for achieving as much distance from the impending explosion as fast as she can while keeping Dambreth and the egg safely secured.

I got an email back January - February range about Monster of the Week from Drive-Thru. It's designed for letting you play games based on Shows like Supernatural or Buffy. You could possibly do something like Dresden off it too. Magical Fury is one I stumbled on when I went to see what was new. It's a Magical Girl based one.

@Borak: Or like an office desk that demands blood sacrifice... With a worried chirp, Sinathel gently placed the bomb close to the beacon before nuzzling Dambreth. She attempted to convince/maneuver him to get on her back, to leave with her too. She'd already lost him once, she didn't want to lose him again if she could help it. If he seemed determined to stay, no matter what she did, she would respect his wish that she flee. Though she wouldn't be happy about it. Sinathel is not planning on staying long in her attempts to convince Dambreth to leave with her, but she's going to try.

Sinathel, upon noticing the ticking numbers entered a turn to fly back towards the beacon, if it was going to go off, she was going to try to take the beacon and hopefully not the others with it. If the others could just get away from the beacon and the bomb in time... They had to make it through this time. She had just finished her turn to begin her return flight when she felt Dambreth's desperation to reach her. Scanning the ground, she searched for him. There! There he was. Running after her... The beacon! He was carrying the Beacon! Away from the others and towards her!

Okay previous question is now mute, so new question, I didn't see anything when I searched back about the languages the Drakes are capable of using. Since they can speak, would Sinathel be capable of using this world's common and/or Elven? Or is she limited to the natural language of the Drakes? I feel that this is very similar to Sinathel as a parrot, where she could talk. I just didn't want to contidict established lore.

While it has already been said that my necklace would be highly unlikely to fully repair a broken skyskipper, would I be able to use my necklace in my current form to repair Cortez's skipper to at least delay the explosion, if not stop it?

"Now" Sinathel was out the door only a breath later. The moment wind started to hit her face she let the rest of the transformation complete. ref pic Spreading her wings she took off towards her target. This form felt wonderful, but she had other things to be concerned about than the joy she felt at finally taking the form of a jungle drake. She rushed towards the hopefully darkened traitor and his skipper. Sinathel is currently a jungle drake, which is different than the fire-breathing, mountian dewelling dark-red ones the orcs had under their control. She first talked about them here when responding to Olivious's question if she had ever tried to be a drake before. Jungle drakes, since they live amoungst foliage and trees and other flammable plant life, have a different breath-weapon, poison.

Sinathel was first talking to the People (Animals) and Nature (rocks, plants, ect) because of Spirit-Talker and Thing-Talker, then she was talking to Bolus since she's on the Skipper with him. Darkness Wand (for Bolus's Reference):
Fires a maximum of three shots from a constantly-recharging solar battery. Takes about an hour for a new shot to be ready to fire after being fired. Creates a globe of artificial darkness for 20 meters in a radius around where the tracer spell strikes. "It will be. Though I suggest you turn off the lights first." Sinathel moves towards the nearest exit, preparing to disembark.

Sinathel had not been just sitting around since getting on the skipper. She had been searching for any an all spirits of the People and Nature. 'This elf is a traitor to all. He wishes to bring destruction to all who call Gaia their home. Nothing will remain if what he wishes comes true. My companions and I work to stop him, but we could use the aid of anyone willing to give it. This traitor must be stopped before he dooms even Gaia herself. He was headed toward the Beacon that draws the World Eater here." Sinathel sent images with her words of Temellen as she speaks of him, images of her and her companions when she mentions them, and finally, images of the world eater and the state of Gaia from the view in space. She repeates her words to of the Spirits that will listen, stopping only when Bolus commands the skipper to fly faster. "How long till we can be to the beacon?" She handed her Darkness wand to Bolus, "I wish this returned, but will engulf what it hits in darkness. Since I plan to shift, you will find more use for it right now." Shapeshift: 2d6 + 3 ⇒ (1, 6) + 3 = 10 Hold: 3 :) Verdant green scales began to crawl across Sinathel's skin as she started to shift into her chosen form. And this form, this one was going to be new. One she had once tried for and failed before, but now, she knew she would succeed. Her fingers turned to claws and her mouth filled with sharp fangs. As her clothes molded into her form, thin membranes stretched from her sides and her braid followed down her spine as a tail extended. Soon enough Sinathel paused in her changing, for her new form would be too large for the skipper. She would finish outside it. "When we are close, let me out. I'd rather not destroy this skipper."

It's good to be able to be around again. :) How far away are we from that jungle-fowl? And is what size is the hatch/exit in this skipper? Sinathel has an ambitious idea but distance could be a deciding factor with how quickly she'll start it.

So, it's been a while. All is good on the health front now. It was a very welcome relief to all of us. About the time that cleared up, we let go of one of my coworkers and entered crunch time phase for show-prep and product release. I've been working long days and sometimes on weekends. I haven't had that much time to check here. I'm going to try to catch up on what has happened and try to get posting again, though I'm not sure how consistent I'll be for the next month or so. Though I do have to say, Congrats Frogfoot :) Also... Hi newcomers!

So... RL has taken most of my focus lately. Between trying to meet deadlines for things at work (like finishing stuff to push it to production), I've been focusing on taking care of family. My mother has been sick for several weeks now. They are still trying out what's causing it. But what I do know of what they have found has me worried and concerned. Right now I fear the worst, though I pray it's not. Another family member's health went down very rapidly two weeks ago, until today. I haven't had much energy to spare to other things. I'm just... tired. Worried and tired.

Just wanted to make sure I understood it correctly. :) Sinathel pays for her environmentally-friendly darkness wand and continues to look for first-aid supplies. While she prefers to use herbs and other natural means, those ways take longer than they might have available. She would give future-healing a chance.

Sinathel first consulted with the local People to make a request. "There is a two-legger named Temellen whose actions threaten the lives of all, People and two-leggers alike. He is a traitor to all. I ask, if you are willing, that his plans be hindered. I hope you will help protect your home, but I will not force any of you. It is your choice." After her meeting is done, Sinathal will locate Olivius to request his aid in finding some new medical supplies and possibly something to camouflage someone. She will pick up an Adventuring Kit as well if she has the funds afterwards.

I believe Eldar does have 2 piercing vs living creatures if that affects anything. Sinathel, seeing the situation in control and still reeling from the the lack of nature here, quickly reverts back and takes off for the flying metal atrocity called a sky-skipper after Dambreth, cursing this city and it's obsession of metal the whole way there.

Sinathel took a deep breath and focused, remembering the vines and plants that made up her jungle. Thinking of herself being made up of those various plants. Think the Swamp Monster from Avatar: The Last Airbender as the main inspiration here. Shapeshift: 2d6 + 3 ⇒ (1, 1) + 3 = 5 So... since this is my first shapeshifting miss... The way I read the move is that I still take my shape, since I gain 1 hold on a miss, but the GM also states something else that happens. Who knows! Maybe I take a form different than what I was aiming for. Who knows! So... what happens now? Did I just become a Tree? :)

"When we get there, before they notice us, perhaps it is best if I reach out to the local People and Spirits first. We may can learn something new before we enter." Sinathel paused for a moment, before looking at the Professor. "Sir, did I ever ask you to identify on our previous attempts something I had found?"

"Bolus, this is Dambreth, my cousin. We grew up together." Sinathel turns back to Dambreth, "Bolus is a Guardian of this City. He has helped us from the moment he appeared on the Island. You should have seen him with the young bull. He cares for The People too."

"Then I will hunt for both of us, so you no longer have too. Currently we run; hide because that scat Temellen made it through before us. He has those in power believing his lies. He aided some Mimics, Mimics that tried to cause a beacon and erupted the volcano. He will pay for all those deaths." Sinathel's eyes blazed with anger at just the thought. "Yours and Scram's included." She turned to Eldar, eyeing him up and down but kept any and all comments to herself for now. "Thank you, for bringing him back." She then addressed both Eldar, and the Professor she had mostly ignored. "I am Sinathel of the Jungle, Dambreth's cousin." Sinathel paused for a moment before looking at Dambreth and changing the subject some to share her excitement from before, "We arrived in what Bolus called a Death Zone... but there was life out there! It was deep underground but it was there! We even got to see a Wyvern, though this one was a red one. Breathed fire. It was trying to burn down what green life could still be had."
Female Elf Druid 3 | XP: 7 | HP: 19/19 | Armor: 1 | Str: +1 Dex:+0 Con: +1 Int: +0 Wis: +3 Cha: -1
Sinathel froze in place the moment her eyes landed on her once-lost cousin. "D-dambreth?" It couldn't be possible... could it? Tentatively she reached out to sense for him. Then she was moving, hooking the hook and sliding down as fast as she could and still safely land. She didn't care if this was a trap, nor if someone else was in her way. She hugged him, holding him for several moments before pulling back to look at him, addressing him in their native elvish. "Y-you are here! How? I... I thought you to be gone." |
