"Poog!" Kess calls out as she runs from her hiding place. Guess that's what we get for trying subtlety for once... the brawler thinks as she sprints forward, reaching into her pack to pull out a javelin as she goes. Hearing Hakon's low chanting once more, she lets the music wash over her as she hurls the spear at the sniper standing by the ridge's edge. Then, as soon as it leaves her hand, she snaps into her defensive style. As the spider sprays web over the excited Poog, Kess runs wide of the stream of fluid and strikes at the spider from it's flank, letting Hakon's deep screams inspire her to strike even more furiously. Okay, these folks mean business. Kess thinks as she takes a hit and Hakon drops like a stone. Breaking Folloch's attempted enchantment has only made Kess angrier at the priest. She sprints over to the caster and tries to punch him square in his still-humming mouth. While still at 'Cannibal's Grove' "Huh, well that was an, experience." Kess muses as the forest animal flees. Looking down at the small, bleeding form now lying on the rocks, she tilts her head in curiosity. "I wonder what this thing's deal was?" In Allenstead As the party enters the village square, Kess looks around warily. She looks at the looming oversized statue and tries to hide a frown. "No it is not." agrees Kess as she too looks up at the absent mounted head. "Thought you have to admit this place certainly is liviing up to its name." As we arrive at the grove... As she and the group reach the end of the trail, the Taldan woman eyes the seemingly old altar to the right of the grove warily. "Kyra, I don't think Sarenrae's exactly a nature god, but do you have any idea what this thing might be for? Apart from what those stains are making me think of?" Also watch out! There's a group of six doppelgangers right on top of us :)

"...and I'll tell you this much," the Taldan woman brashly calls out to her comrades as she moves through the worn dorrway of the Restless Bear, "The look on his face when I caught the damn thing was almost better than winning the match!" Kess laughs heartily, then tries to mute her chuckles as she sees the rest of the inn's patrons glance at her. She quickly tries to brush the dirt and leaves from her armor, then turns to the hostess. "Hello Birdy! An ale'd be great. It's been a bit of a hike from where we were. And what's the menu this evening?" As she waits for the proprietor to respond, Kess sidles over to a large table and grabs a seat. She stretches her legs out as far as they'll go underneath the table, a sigh of relief escaping her lips.

Looking back to the casters still further towards the crypts, Kess calls back. "So, now that we've dealt with him," she gestures contemptously down towards the Sarvio boy, "any thoughts on what that riddle actually means?" If the noble starts to complain and make a fuss, Kess'll knock him back down with another punch. Non-lethal of course :p

A bit taken aback by the power of Oloch's assault, Kess is caught off guard, but recovers by the time the skald slashes at the man's horse. Well, THERE'S someone who can back up his bravado. Wonder what else he's adept at. Seeing the animal is still up and kicking, literally, Kess rushes in and tries to out the beast down, calling out to Kyra as she does so: "Kyra, can you get over here and stabilize him? At the sound of Oloch's calls, Kess darts further towards their guest, hugging the wall and peeking out to observe his reactions. Well, looks like this is happening then. Browser issues are stopping me from being able to move my icon right now. Kess'll move down a few squares to the corner of the building she's next to now, trying to keep hidden from the rider's sight. Stealth: 1d20 ⇒ 1 Welp, make that keep out of sight poorly. Question about how this quest works, Oykiv: Is this going to run essentially like a slightly less-well-connected scenario, with one 'mission' leading right into another? Or will there be an indetemrinate ammount of time between each of the items we're procuring for Ulisha? I'm mainly wondering regaridng things like Martial Flexibilty with uses per day. Do you want us to treat them as if we know there will be more adventuring to come before we rest, or can we assume we can rest between each quest segment?
