Male Human Rogue 1

I gruffly nod thanks to Harlon and wrap myself in my cloak, tossing Rend my waterskin and saying "Have fun." before huddling in a corner away from the mold and rubbing my hands together to try to restore feeling to my numbed digits.

Male Human Rogue 1

"Lovely. You're welcome to throw water on the mold, but I'll watch from the doorway." I say, standing a little unsteadily.

Male Human Rogue 1

Coughing, Shamus sits up and groans "Gods dammit, why am I so cold. What the hell happened?"

Male Human Rogue 1

Saw that one coming. Sorry I haven't been around much the last few days.
"Oh, Hells." I curse as the moss grows and a wave of cold envelopes me, sending me into a hypothermic slumber and driving me to the ground.

Male Human Rogue 1

I look at Rend as he tries to hide behind the halfling and shake my head, muttering something indistinct under my breath. I watch the mold burn with a hand held over my mouth and nose to ward of the impending stench.

Male Human Rogue 1

I have a pretty good idea what's coming too, but Shamus doesn't. I hope separation of knowledge doesn't kill me!

Male Human Rogue 1

"I'll throw it." I say, taking the torch from Kharid and lobbing it into the oil soaked patch of mold.

"Oh yes, it does get cold quickly. We need to stay at least five feet away from the growth,” says Karid as he blows on his hands in an attempt to warm them.

"Wonderful." I mutter, eyeing the irking patch of mold "I think we'll need about four pints but I don't really know how well this stuff burns."

"I'd rather not spend the night in this tomb, either," murmurs Harlon, who shivers at the thought.

"Right, me neither. I like places with warm beds, food, and drink. Places where you don't have to worry about killed in your sleep by some hideous monstrosity."

Male Human Rogue 1

How many to burn a path through the molds.

Male Human Rogue 1

I look up from my preparations when Rend crashes to the floor. Seeing him covered in frost I sigh and shake my head. I loosen the stopper of my flasks of oil and say "You might be wanting to move." to Rend, preparing to toss the flasks into the mold.

Male Human Rogue 1

"Funny though." I mutter, pulling oil out of my pack.

Male Human Rogue 1

"Well, lets go play house-keeping then." I say, cursing the cold.

Rend beams when he sees his idea put into action. And they thought I was only good for fighting, he thinks.

Were there only three statues, or is there still one that doesn't have a figurine?

"Well, seems like that worked pretty good. There's still another room past that cold brown stuff. Maybe we should check it out. Any idea how we can get in there without touching the stuff on the floor?"

What are the walls like in that room. Are they suitable for climbing?

After a moment's thought I say "Fire. We can burn it away. How much lamp oil do we have?"

Male Human Rogue 1

I wait quitely as Kharid fiddles with the statues. I keep my distance, should the dwarf make some critical error and once he gets them levitating I prepare to dash back down the corridor to cover in case its a trap. When nothing apparent happens I say "Well damn. Now what?"

Male Human Rogue 1

At this point I was waiting to find out what happened when we put the figurines in the statue's hands.

Male Human Rogue 1

I glare at Rend and say "Yeah, lets get out of this damned place."

Male Human Rogue 1

I grab the statues from Rend efore he can break them and hand them to Kharid "Well? Do you think Rend's right? What do you think these are for?"

"Uh, guys. I think that block just might fall again real soon,” says Karid with more than a hint of worry in his voice.

"You think?!" I ask sarcastically as I drag the body away from the danger zone.

Male Human Rogue 1

"What?!" I ask in surprise as the large half-orc almost picks me up and starts to drag me to the body "How the hell do expect me to tell if it's magical or not? Do I look like a g#%@#!n wizard? OR A RAG DOLL FOR THAT MATTER! Put me DOWN dammit!" Once I get to the body I kneel beside it and start searching it showing no qualms about touching the corpse, all the while muttering a few select phrases about the lumbering half-orc.

Male Human Rogue 1

"No wait!" I shout as Rend reaches for the armor "Oh, damn."

Male Human Rogue 1

"Looks like you're area of expertise Kharid." I say, eyeing the body speculatively. I pull a grappling hook from my pack and ask "Anybody got some more rope? Also, be careful; I bet that column is rigged to fall on potential tomb-robbers like us."

Male Human Rogue 1

I rummage around in my backpack and pull out a length of rope. Tired of waiting for the unresponsive dwarf to say something, I tie the rope to the lever, retreat as far as I can from the lever and say "Clear!". giving everyone a few seconds to move before tugging the rope taught.

Male Human Rogue 1

"No! There's no wolf!" I say, more irritably than before "It was just...you know what? Never mind. Just never mind." Under my breat I add "Idiotic brute." quitely enoguh for no one to hear.

Male Human Rogue 1

"Not 'where', 'were'. As in in Werewolf."

Male Human Rogue 1

"Are you worried about the fearsome bench assaulting you Rend? Or is there a whole horde of them? Were-benches perhaps." I ask sardonically before going back to my inspection "We don't know what it does yet. Don't touch it. Kharid! Could you be bothered to get over here?"

Male Human Rogue 1

No problem
As Rend approaches with his sword drawn I look up and ask "What's with the sword? Did you find sign of a foe?", a little worried.

Male Human Rogue 1

XP!
I examine the lever warily, trying to figure out what it leads to.
Any way that I can use Disable Device to figure out what it does and not to disable it?

"Hey Kharid, come on over here. Any idea what this does?" I ask of Kharid.

Male Human Rogue 1

"Hold on and we'll find out." I say, carefully examining the stone block visually before making a more thorough search of it.

Male Human Rogue 1

"Fine. The block works too. Let's just get on with this."

Male Human Rogue 1

"The door then." I say in mild irritation "This place is starting to piss me off. There'd better be a lot of treasure in here."

Male Human Rogue 1

"You're right." I say, looking around and for the first time realizing how clean the chamber is. "Unless there's a regular occupant around here, it shouldn't be this clean and I can't imagine anyone actually living here." Drawing my rapier, I look around the chamber, feeling a little paranoid and looking for hidden attackers.

The desperation in Harlon's voice moves me to an uncommon act of generosity. "Ah, to hell with it." I mutter and take off my cloak, handing it to Harlon "Here wrap yourself in this and keep your bird close so he doesn't freeze to death." I say before retreating back to my spot in the door, shivering a little and giving a little cough. "Wonderful. Now my damn cold is going to come back. Why did I come here?" I think to myself, watching my breath turn into mist and form patterns in the air.
Harlon seems completely taken aback by Shamus's generosity. "Th-th-th-thank you," he managers to stammer through chattering teeth, as he wraps himself in the cloak. "You're almost as nice as Rend is... even though he didn't offer me his cloak," he adds indignantly. The garment is long enough that it drags on the floor, enabling the halfling to place a layer of cloth between his naked feet and the cold ground. "Wake up, Hector, come on, wake up..."

"Don't mention it." I mutter, shivering and going over to where Rend stands "What did you find?"

I can see the one asking if we can see it but not the one before that. Thanks for the map.
I stand in the entrance to cold chamber before us, happy to stay where I am unless danger should force me out.
Spot check's not even worth posting.

Male Human Rogue 1

I run into the room after Harlon and Rend, stopping cold as I enter the freezing room. I wrap my cloak around myself and start to shiver as I look around the room.

"Probably best if you did." I say, stepping back from the statue.

Male Human Rogue 1

"What in the name of the Nine Hells?!" I exclaim in surprise, quickly withdrawing my hand and wiping on my cloak. "There's something soft and alive with eyes on top of that statue." I say loudly, drawing ym rapier again.

Male Human Rogue 1

I quickly but carefully move over to where the the statue that Rend ran to "Wait! If there's a trap I can disable it. Wait Dammit!" I shout to Rend.
Once over to the statue I cautiously examine it, looking for anything that might indicate the trap's location and how I could stop it from going off again.

I don't think that there are any visible foes so I'll ready an action to strike anything that attacks us. I also peer around the hall, looking for whatever made the bird fall asleep.

At Harlon's exclamation I spin around, holding my rapier at the ready and preparing to strike whatever foe we face.

Male Human Rogue 1

I give him an irritated look and say "I was being cautious. Caution being the better part of valor and all that."
At the announcement that Harlon's bird is dead I turn back to Harlon, waiting to see his reaction before I do anything.

Male Human Rogue 1

Once everyone's caught up I cautiously make my way to the black lump, stopping about 10 feet away and peering at it, trying to determine what it is.

I jump out of the way of the speeding balls of light, trying to find cover behind one of the statues before realizing where the lights came from. I step out from the statues space and glare back at the group, hissing "Who the hell did that? Ever heard of stealth?" More loudly I say "You might as well come down. If there was anything that I could have discovered by scouting stealthily ahead, it knows about us now. Master Thunderune, I found some statues that you might beable to shed some light on." I turn and start examing the statue that I hid behind, grumbling about the lack of stealth used by Dalzig.

I sigh and nod, knowing that the halfling is right. "Fine. I'll scout ahead." I say, handing him my sunrod and stealthily padding forward. I'm distracted somewhat by the mention of demonic snakes and so I'm not as perceptive as I should be, but I'm stealthy enough to(hopefully) avoid detection. I keep an eye out for any traps that might be along the way.
I move about 15ft forward.
