![]() At the Quartermaster: In a fairly irritated voice, Shalani counts off what she's looking for on her fingers. "Black adder venom, or any similar strong poison ingredients.

I thought we had taken up the elves on their offer to help. I'm not sure if they had anything better than restoration to help with the negative level situation. Sigh. This is why I asked for clarification back when we were with the elves. It would have been helpful to know. ![]()
![]() After looking through the supplies available at the Elven community, Shalani looks up in dismay. "They don't really have what I'm looking for here. I vote for a trip to Brindol. We can inform the provincial leaders of our successes so far, sell some of the vast amount of equipment we've been lugging around, and purchase needed supplies and gear. I also would like to speak to a Priest of Irori, and I hope that one might be available there." She turns towards the newcomers. "Before we completely rid ourselves of such equipment, if you truly wish to join us on our dangerous journeys, I would allow you to take what you need from our unused equipment. Dragox must agree of course, and Tahllana, as well, I imagine." ![]()
![]() Before we go too far, I'd like to craft some more alchemical equipment or poisons. Maybe a potion or two if people are into that sort of thing, provided we have the money (or the materials) available. Maybe 200 gp worth of alchemical materials. I can do it on the move, but I prefer a little stability. With the giant owls at our disposal, would a trip to Brindol be too difficult? "A moment, Dragox, please. At least a day or two of rest and further work. I can craft some more alchemist's fire and other supplies, provided the ingredients are available." ![]()
![]() Shalani has few words for Narses before he departs. She does not know what she can give him so that he can remember her by. But there is a dark look in his eyes that says he will remember her well in any event. She sighs and turns to Dragox. "It is strange how much my life has changed lately. It feels almost like my old desert life, where every day was a fight for survival. I had thought those days were behind me. I hadn't anticipated such strong foes among the Red Hand." She nods to Kor'Lyn, but has few words for him, except to greet and welcome him in the eastern tradition. ![]()
![]() Shalani takes the headband of charisma +4 (it's already on her profile even), that puts a headband of intelligence +2 (which adds skillpoints to knowledge (planes)) back in the ring. Someone else gets to pick something from the loot now. :) Tahllana or Dragox. I guess it works if we pick one thing and then pass along the rest until we get through the list. :) ![]()

Okay, Yeah, I saw that too. That's why I posted a response. But now I'm confused. Am I with everyone at the campfire, or am I off somewhere lying in a morbid state? ![]()
![]() Shalani's weakened body was carried back to the group. Her second brush with death had not been any less harrowing than the first. "I... I... At first you two frightened me. A goblin and a rather rough-looking man. Adele was the only one who even seemed to make sense, and now she is gone too. I think I spoke with her a little in the other place, or was that a dream? She said, 'Give the Deed to Narses'. I'm not even certain what that means, but perhaps you do. Since you are both leaving, I am left with this strange elven woman, but I feel she is good at heart. And the half orc, whom perhaps knows even better than me what mysteries you all were capable of. I shall miss you, but know that wherever you are fighting, you will always be members of the Silversong Champions. And as long as I am alive on this earthly plane, you can find solace at my side." ![]()
![]() Can we talk about Shalani's journey back from the afterlife. How powerful is this Elven spellcaster. Is it a blessed true resurrection spell? (talk about super-wishful thinking). Lootwise:
Leveling: Hitpoints
Alchemist Powers
Sorceress Powers
BAB: +6/+1
Extracts: 5/4/3 (2 new known)
Feats: Master Alchemist

![]() The first attack failed to penetrate the mage armor, so its actually only 38, not 64. Adding that to the 7 damage I inflicted on myself last round. I should be at -45/38 with 10 con. So, I'm at -7 and dying. :) From the brutal attack the 'demon' inflicted on her, Shalani's body pierced (or sliced) in too many places to mention, she crumples to the docks unconscious and bleeding profusely. ![]()
![]() Unfortunately, Dragox, since we automatically attack whatever attacked us last since entering the confused state, it looks like Narses and Shalani are going to be whaling on each other until either the end of the spell or one of us is dead (or hopefully fallen unconscious into the water and thus "out of sight") ![]()
![]() Another rule contention. I think a touch attack is a standard action. (lol). Also, Narses, since Shalani attacked you, you automatically change your action to attack Shalani. Sigh. I'm also not certain if we would consider that (your spell touch) as an attack, and attack you back (i.e. with an attack of opportunity) I hope not, but confusion is the worst thing. (Edited) Actually, based on the description of confused condition, an attempt to touch us would basically be seen as an attack. We don't know who you are, lol, so you're an enemy. So, umm, stay away? ![]()
![]() I hate to mention it, Tahllana, but you have to hit us with touch attacks to touch us for spell purposes, since we're confused. 1d100 ⇒ 90 Her mind is suddenly lucid again, but the strange demon standing next to her leers at her cruelly. She attacks the demon (Narses) with her scimitar. 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (4) + 6 = 10

![]() Just thought I would point out, that Shalani moved to K34, she should be at the northern staircase, not the southern one. So, if Narses was targeted with an area confusion spell, she would have been targeted too. Will saving throw 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (3) + 4 = 7 Confusion 1d100 ⇒ 70 Not entirely certain what came over her, Shalani attempts to shake off the mental delusions that effect her for only a moment. Her hand itching with fire, she moves to scratch it, somehow forgetting that she was holding a scimitar in her other hand. 1d8 ⇒ 7 ![]()
![]() Okay, that's what I wanted to know. In that case, Shalani instead moves to K34, and casts a fiery lightning bolt at the ogre at the top of the stairs, hoping to also catch the ogre behind him. fire elemental lightning bolt
Hey, look, a spell damage roll that isn't mostly ones! ![]()
![]() Spellcraft 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (20) + 12 = 32 Can I see Mnag from where I am, and if so can I hit him with a fireball and also get the ogres too? Let me know if I can't. 6d6 ⇒ (1, 3, 1, 6, 1, 1) = 13 fire damage, Ref DC 17 for half damage Also, remember fire damage from fire arrow and the ogres still on fire. Shalani looses another fireball at the small creature floating in the air, the explosion also striking those on the roof below it. ![]()
![]() 1d20 ⇒ 1 Shalani releases a fire arrow from her hand ranged touch attack 1d20 + 10 - 1 ⇒ (12) + 10 - 1 = 21 towards the closest ogre. 2d4 ⇒ (1, 1) = 2 fire damage
They should still be on fire from the exploding bomb, too. Will 1d20 + 4 - 1 ⇒ (6) + 4 - 1 = 9 ![]()
![]() Tahllana has it right. fireball requires line of sight, and you target the space, not the creature. I don't have line of sight to the space (I'm assuming it's the ground you're targeting, although if that were the case, how could you target flying creatures. Maybe you can target a point in space???) I can throw a firebomb, since that's a ranged attack and lack of line of sight just generally implies concealment or cover.
