The tall man before you is clad in plain black shirt and slacks and wears solid leather boots. He has grey hair, blue eyes, and is clean-shaven. He is armored with a chain shirt, and armed with an expensive-looking bow and dagger. He seldom smiles, but has been known to enjoy telling stories to naive townsfolk. While not taciturn by nature, he rarely speaks without good reason.

Backstory:

Ser Harris Halford has been an adventurer for more than twenty years. He has fought in many different places and against many different foes. He led the team that recaptured the fortress of Raven's Roost from a Hobgoblin force, an act which earned him a knighthood. That was ten years ago.
He has taken to traveling where he desires, rather than because someone needed someone else shot in some distant place. His role in the party is likely as one of its faces and leaders - he is a natural leader, and gets on well with most people he meets.
