Female Human/Avatar of Sehkmet

Sehkmet will switch to trying to drive the ants in an appropriate direction. Leaping in and slapping any going in the wrong direction, grabbing one and leaping in the right direction and releasing it

Female Human/Avatar of Sehkmet

Knowing that Sonic attacks work so well on the ants, she decides to see how effective disease attacks will be.

She runs over to the cluster to the NE and exudes what she hopes will be an instantly deadly disease on the ants

Burst Area affliction (Disease)

Fort Save, DC 20
Impaired/Disabled/Incapacitated

Female Human/Avatar of Sehkmet

Sehkmet watches as the mother cat and her 2 kittens scurry for safety in the scrubby undergrowth.

Determined to keep them safe, she transfoens from the small cat she had been in order to not scare the family into her lion headed form and leaps into the midst of the nearest group of ants and roars as loudly as she can

Hearing Perception area Affliction 10, Will Save DC 20, Dazed/Stunned/Incapacitated

Female Human/Avatar of Sehkmet

"If you insist. We make a pretty good team"

She then chucklers to herself

Female Human/Avatar of Sehkmet

Sehkmet will definitely try and heal The Creature

"I'll try to heal him but there is a lot about him that I don't fully understand. But healing is healing"

healing: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (3) + 11 = 14

I'm sorry, I've lost track of my Hero Points (a cardinal sin, I know). I think that I have one. If I do, I'll definitely use it
reroll healing: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (15) + 11 = 26

Female Human/Avatar of Sehkmet

"Well, from their point of view they weren't wrong. When I see what mankind has done with this world, a part of me agrees with them. Fortunately, only a very small part but still . I think they are more to be pitied than hated. Just as one can pity a serpent but still is forced to kill it or capture it"

Female Human/Avatar of Sehkmet

"That certainly seems like a good idea"

healing: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (5) + 11 = 16

Female Human/Avatar of Sehkmet

dodge: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (11) + 9 = 20
toughness: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (14) + 11 = 25

So, -1 on future toughness saves.

"Perhaps we can just kill her once and for all? If we all hit her at once and combine our powers, especially our divine influences, perhaps that would be enough"

Coordinated attack? All using Hero Point to do something like divine damage.

Female Human/Avatar of Sehkmet

dodge: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (15) + 9 = 24

Woo hoo!!

Sehkmet embraces the power of her true form (the actual Sehkmet) and decides that this situation calls, not for subtlty, but for raw violence

She decides to hit with a flurry of blows (Extra Effort for additional standard action, Hero point to remove fatigue).

And she knows it is going to be hard to hurt her. She'll take a -3 to hit for a +3 to damage

"You claim to be a God. Time to face a REAL God"

She will attempt a Feint as a move action using Acrobatics (Agile Feint) and Skill Mastery

Feint = 20+10-5 = 25 vs Perception (I think). If successful, target is vulnerable

attack 1: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (11) + 6 = 17 Toughness Save DC 30
attack 2: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (18) + 6 = 24 Touchness Save DC 30

If either grab succeeds, opponent takes -5 to escape (Improved Hold)

Both attacks come with a free grab if they actually hit
grab 1: 1d20 + 12 - 3 + 1 ⇒ (6) + 12 - 3 + 1 = 16
grab 2: 1d20 + 12 - 3 + 1 ⇒ (16) + 12 - 3 + 1 = 26

Female Human/Avatar of Sehkmet

Sorry for the delay. I've been quite sick the last few days. Should make a proper post tomorrow

Female Human/Avatar of Sehkmet

"Humanity is my charge and my responsibility. Well, them and cats. Ok, mostly cats. But I will fight you to the death to preserve humanity. Who else would take care of the cats if you killed all the humans?"

Female Human/Avatar of Sehkmet

"Well, if the Gods could bury her once we can hopefully bury her again. Because she needs to be buried. Mankind needs to be protected"

Female Human/Avatar of Sehkmet

Sehkmet leaps at the Gill-man, attempting to bite its throat out

Attack: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (1) + 9 = 10

But misses wildly as Harker gets in the way :-)

Female Human/Avatar of Sehkmet

It just occurred to me, many of you are quite possibly immune to disease. Is anybody NOT immune to disease? The whole reason I leapt away was to not get you lot in my disease attack :-).

Female Human/Avatar of Sehkmet

All of the minions start wheezing as if they are having difficulty breathing, then they all start coughing. As water pours from their bodies they all collapse unconcsious

Tuberculosis although at an insanely accelerated rate as this was one of the diseases that actually is known to exist in Ancient Egypt

Seeing them all collapse, Sehkmet roars triumphantly, a roar louder than should be able to come from something her size.

Female Human/Avatar of Sehkmet

Sehkmet again leaps, this time into a position where she can get as many of the mooks within 30 ft of her as possible while making sure none of her allies are affected.

"Feel the Pestilence of the Nile"

She then unleashes a wave of sand coloured energy that hopefully strikes down many if not all of the mooks.

Affliction: Burst Area Affliction 10 (linked)
1st degree: Impaired, 2nd degree: Disabled, 3rd degree: Incapacitated, Resisted by: Fortitude,

Female Human/Avatar of Sehkmet

The board has gone very strange on me. Trying this as a separate post
Toughness Save: 1d20 + 11 - 1 ⇒ (20) + 11 - 1 = 30

Sehkmet, you should still have an attack against the Yacaruna if that is what you want to do. You have plenty of movement to make your leap and still attack.

I had to get to my feet first and then leap. So, no attack action this turn

Female Human/Avatar of Sehkmet

No, I definitely did NOT want to be flown away. Thanks for being willing to retcon

Female Human/Avatar of Sehkmet

"Who are you calling Mortal? It is time for you to face some REAL power"

Toughness Save: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (12) + 11 = 23
Strength Check: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (2) + 12 = 14

The water knocks into Sehkmet, damaging her and knocking her prone
Double Sigh :-)

"You think that is going to stop ME? Bastet? Well, it won't"

"I'll get the Yacaruna, you destroy this upstart"

She then leaps to her feet, turns into a small fisher cat and leaps over the gillman to land on the water away from the boat, ready to unleash the full wrath of Bastet on the Yaacaruna

Female Human/Avatar of Sehkmet

[ooc]Hathaway, I think there may be something wrong in your attack, unless I am mising something. +20 to attack with a DC25 effect seems rather too good to be true

Fort save: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (3) + 11 = 14

Sigh.

Female Human/Avatar of Sehkmet

toughness save: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (5) + 11 = 16

Failing by 10 seems like a bad idea. Use a Hero point to reroll
reroll: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (11) + 11 = 22

Female Human/Avatar of Sehkmet

AS the Jaguars paw comes in Sehkmet leaps to the side, getting out of reach of the claw and positioning herself for the following.

She gets to a position where there are as many Jaguars as possible within 30 feet of her but none of her allies, or at least none that can be diseased. Not affecting her allies takes precedence.

She will then use one of her few non lethal attacks, an area of affect sickness.

"I'm sorry my children, but I have to knock you out without hurting you."

30 foot burst Affliction. Fort save DC 20. Impaired/Disabled/Incapacitated

Female Human/Avatar of Sehkmet

"You poor, poor little things"

"We should DEFINITELY try and find another way. These are far too magnificent to kill unless ABSOLUTELY necessary"

She is going to try and talk them down (unlikely, I know, but she has to try_

In feline
"My friends, I know you aren't feeling right. But please, please calm down and do not attack us. If you attack us you'll only get hurt"

Persuasion: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (9) + 5 = 14

Female Human/Avatar of Sehkmet

"I am always ready"

Female Human/Avatar of Sehkmet

Sorry, I'm still a little confused. Is the bunch of mutated plants an actual foe for us to fight or some kind of environmental threat to be destroyed.

On the assumption that it is the first
"Lets kill these plants first, then I'll continue with trying to heal her"

With that, she leaps at the plants.
to hit: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (13) + 8 = 21 Toughness save DC 27

Assuming that hits, she will then try to grab it
grab: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (9) + 9 = 18

Female Human/Avatar of Sehkmet

I'd definitely use Extra Effort in an attempt to cure her.

"Well, lets try and see what I can manage. Sehkmet, please help me to heal this woman"

heal: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (5) + 11 = 16

If that is insufficient I'd also use my Hero point to reroll that.

heal: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (6) + 11 = 17 for a 27

Female Human/Avatar of Sehkmet

"If we're talking about viruses, perhaps my healing powers can actually cure the problem? Lets find out.

Are you willing to let me try and heal you? I can NOT guarantee the result I'm afraid as this is something I've never seen before.

But I AM the Avatar of a Goddess of Healing. That has to count as something!"

"Healing and Slaughter. Probably best to not mention that part"

Female Human/Avatar of Sehkmet

I've also got healing abilities so no issue there.

If you want I could also tweak Sehkmet a bit instead to reduce overlap. Also quite happy if you make changes, not trying to steal your thunder ot anything

Female Human/Avatar of Sehkmet

"We definitely need to help restore Ma'at to the river"

Female Human/Avatar of Sehkmet

Sehkmet hums softly to herself, trying to mimic the sounds of the dolphins as closely as she can

Female Human/Avatar of Sehkmet

Gore dripping from her lips, a blood soaked Sehkmet dives into the water to clean off before leaping back onto the boat, mostly clean.

"Ah, that was fun! I thought it smelled quite nice on the inside. Just a hint of oak"

Female Human/Avatar of Sehkmet

”One does NOT let servants of Set live”

She then proceeds to tear it apart :-). Taking an unseemly amount of pleasure in doing so. And, of course, filling up on some snake tartare

Sehkmet, I made this encounter partly with the thought that you have water walking and that many cats (tigers, fishing cats, jaguars, at least) are pretty good swimmers. Let me know if that doesn't feel right.

I'd totally forgotten that I have water walking as a cat (Not in normal form). And while less effective in combat in cat form she is absolutely still not bad :-).

Oh well, it worked out ok :-)

Female Human/Avatar of Sehkmet

acrobatics: 1d20 + 20 ⇒ (11) + 20 = 31 Made it :-)

I realize that I have a significant flaw in this character. No good ranged options :-(. Which makes perfect sense for what she is, mind :-)

"If it is foolish enough to come back, I'll try and grab it"

She readies an action to strike if the Anaconda comes within reach
To hit: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (20) + 8 = 28 DC 27+5=32 Toughness Save
free grab: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (16) + 9 = 25 DC 22

Female Human/Avatar of Sehkmet

Glad to see that you're making sure everything is TOTALLY realistic, says the avatar of Sehkmet :-) :-) :-)

Female Human/Avatar of Sehkmet

I am assuming that the snake is no longer beside Sehkmet so she can't hit it.

If I am wrong and she CAN hit it then that is what she'd do
"Die foul spawn of Set. Die!!"
Attack: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (20) + 8 = 28 Woo hoo!!! DC 32 (including the crit)
Free grab attempt: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (9) + 9 = 18

If the Anaconda is not in reach, she will just use the heal power on herself
"You think that something like that will stop me? I am the goddess of Healing!"
Healing Power: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (15) + 11 = 26 vs DC 10

Female Human/Avatar of Sehkmet
GM SuperTumbler wrote:
Remember you can re-roll with a Hero point. But this might be a good time to fail and stir up some drama.

Yup, I think drama is good :-). Would be good for character development too :-)

Female Human/Avatar of Sehkmet

toughness save: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (1) + 11 = 12
Strength check: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (10) + 12 = 22

So, not grabbed but seriously injured by the bite. I forget (and can't find in my rule book) does anything especially bad happen on a roll of a 1.

"Foul servant of Set, I'll get you for that!!"

I think I have 3 degrees of failure, so -1 and staggered

Female Human/Avatar of Sehkmet

perception: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (16) + 8 = 24

She will then head to the part of the boat where the snake is and ready an action to try and hit the snake if any part of it comes within her reach.

strike: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (13) + 8 = 21 DC 27 Toughness save if I hit
free grab if I hit: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (2) + 9 = 11

Female Human/Avatar of Sehkmet

Sehkmet very much appreciates the make over from Mummy's Bride. She proudly preens around in her new finery.

Female Human/Avatar of Sehkmet

Sehkmet spends most of the time just lying out in the sun, soaking up the rays while cat napping. Its been awhile since she has been able to just lie in the sun.

Female Human/Avatar of Sehkmet

I'm good (although I DO need to know more about the makeover :-) :-) :-))

Female Human/Avatar of Sehkmet

Sehkmet just lies there, quite curious as to what the makeover will result in.

In fact, so as to make sure that she doesn't interfere, she decides to nap on the bony shoulders and leathery skin. After all, as everybody knows, cats can be comfortable in the most absurdly uncomfortable situations.

Female Human/Avatar of Sehkmet

"Linen shirt please" she whispers.

Female Human/Avatar of Sehkmet

Sehkmet laughs as the "scary brigands" run away. She turns to the bride
"I seem to need a new shirt and I guess I really shouldn't wander around like this. Would you please be good enough to buy me a new shirt?"

With that she transforms into a small cat and leaps onto the Bride, settling down around her shoulders like a furry scarf

"Ah, this is a nice comfy place."

Female Human/Avatar of Sehkmet

toughness save: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (8) + 11 = 19

Sehkmet ducks her head slightly, letting the hatchet fly over her head.

The machete she allows to hit her but, other than cutting her clothing, it basically just bounces off her tough skin,

Despite her earlier words, she is more amused by this incident than affronted and decides to be merciful to the thug who has ruined her shirt.

bite full accurate attack: 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (17) + 13 = 30 DC 22 (non lethal)
free grab: 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (13) + 14 = 27 DC 17

She then shakes him a little and releases him.

She addresses both of them
"I think it is time for you to leave. NOW"

Female Human/Avatar of Sehkmet

Sehkmet grins and turns to face the trio and chuckles. She removes her hat and her scarf, trusting that the light is sufficient that her features can be seen.

In a voice dripping with sarcasm

"Why thank you ever so much for your concern. But, as you can see, I am quite capable of looking after myself.["/b]

She then lets a growl loose and says in a low, gravelly voice

"I suggest that you go away now before I become angry. You REALLY REALLY REALLY don't want to make me angry. Go NOW!"

With that she lets out a little bit of a roar, but deliberately tones it down from its full force.

Intimidating Roar but only at level 5. So, Will save DC 15.

GM SuperTumbler wrote:

I would love to send some muggers in the direction of Sehkmet, but I don't think they would go after 5 outsiders all together. Maybe she wonders off a bit, following a stray cat (or child)?

I'd actually just assumed that she was by herself. Sorry for not making that clearer. But yeah, she'd definitely stop to have a chat with a stray cat, making sure that everything is fine in the Stray Cat World (TM) :-).

I just remembered that her base form is a lioness headed woman. She kind of sort of hides that with a big hat, scarf over her face kind of thing and at night it may not be all that obvious. But if she wants to travel really incognito she has to do it as a cat.

Female Human/Avatar of Sehkmet

"No thanks, I don't need a guide. I'm just looking at the sights"

She passes by the urchins and continues on her way.
