The Exchange

Son of two minstrels, but I can't sing. I get mad and hit enemies hard.

The Exchange

Not a complete list, just my suggestions:

1: Shield, Mage Armor, Magic Missile (1)
2: Glitterdust, See Invisibility, Mirror Image, False Life
3: Fireball, Dispel Magic, Vampiric touch
4: Incsibility, Greater
9: Mage's Disjunction

(1) While Magic Missile is not a very good damage spell at your level, it is useful for probing spell resistance and the Shield spell.

I mean, Knock Down was already a pretty crappy rage power to be honest. I think you would be better off just taking Dirty Fighting and Improved Trip.

Where is Dirty Fighting? Do you refer to the feat Improved Dirty Fighting?

I had not considered Improved Trip because of the INT 13 and Combat Expertise prerequisites.
I am surprised by your opinion of Knockdown. My observation has been that a prone opponent is much less potent an adversary.

I was debating changing my first-level PFS barbarian to Unchained, but I decided not to do so. The rage power I want most, knockdown, now requires a move action to activate. That is enough to dissuade me.

The Exchange

I come from Taldor. I used to be in the Taldor factiom, but only because I was born there. I don't much care about guys who think they know better what's best because they got rich parents. I think maybe it makes more sense to follow making money than follow folks on account of what fancy words they put in front of their names.

Count me in with the Exchange.

Time to change Sazzle Verona's faction.

The Exchange

My only connection to Taldor was the accident of birth. I am not certain where to go now. I have no great love for nobility, nor do I loathe the idea, as the Andorans seem to do.

The Exchange 1/5

"A half-elf barbarian? As in a barbarian who's not a half-orc? Really?"

The Exchange

Me, I didn't care much about one god over another, until I happened to adventure along with a cleric of Nethys. Now that's a deity for me! He's cool!

The Exchange

"He may be allowed to go to the Worldwound rather than face execution. We are neither cruel nor foolish. Mr. Talic seems to have useful abilities for fighting demons.
"I know more now (if his story is true) than I did when I found him here. He may be able to right the wrong he has committed, and help save the world in the process. Unfortunately, what happens next is out of my control. I cannot simply release him.

The Exchange

A half-elf and two humans wearing Taldan official livery enter.
"We are looking for a man named Dorsin Salic. He is a human male, about 6' tall, blond hair, late teens or early twenties. He is wanted for murder in Taldor. A man matching his description has been seen in the company of Pathfinders belonging to the Silver Crusade. We believe he may be hiding here, likely using an assumed name. Has anyone here seen him?"

The Exchange

A falcata is good, if it is available. Its critical 19-20/x3, but you would need to spend a feat to gain proficiency. It is even better if it is Keen (or you have the Improved Critical feat).

The Exchange

Obviously, a raging barbarian/sorcerer cannot cast spells. I only wish that controlled rage allowed an urban barbarian/sorcerer to cast spells.
But to return to the matter at hand, Sazzle is unlikely to want to inflict nonlethal damage while raging, but the option is there.

The Exchange

I am planning something similar for Sazzle Verona. The character is a half-elf barbarian, with the Ancestral Arms alternate racial trait to gain proficiency with the falcata, because of its critical (19-20/x3). My first feat is Weapon Focus (falcata). I plan to take Power Attack at third level.

The Exchange

Reactionary made sense thematically for Sazzle - he was apprenticed to a wizard who thought that threats and beatings were the best way to teach magic. Sazzle's intelligence of 10 meant that threats were almost always followed by beatings. He left with the Reactionary and Failed Apprentice traits.

The Exchange

"Warrior with Anger Issues" just does not seem quite right, somehow.

GREETINGS FROM AN ANDORAN PATRIOT. How unfortunate that the Taldan empire, along with its self styled aristocracy, is slowly sinking beneath the rising tide of freedom. Your old ways rot, and free men rise up to overthrow despots. Your ways are the ways of the past- history will be written by free men, not slaves.

How'd he get in here?

The Exchange

Exactly.

Mayim smiles at some inner joke And people don't like you when you're angry?

People standing behind me usually like me better when I'm angry.

Why, oh, why did I enable that joke?

I take it anger makes you clench your cheeks?

I much perfer the fighting to be about 10 feet away. she gestures to the whip on her hip. Much easier to work at range.

No one has ever mentioned it, my lady. And I shall not ask.

Really? I find certain, attributes of my half elven heritage makes me more desirable to humans. Then again, I've never had to interact with any elves besides my mother.

Maybe I just pretend that they don't like me because it helps me be angry. I fight better when I get angry.

Yeah, and no one ever knows what Sazzle's singing. 'CAUSE I CAN'T SING!!

What's good for Taldor is good for Sazzle. I've been looking for a reason to use these sawtooth sabers.

Let's go kill our enemies and take their stuff... oh, and do the lady's bidding while we're at it.

So change your name, change yourself. Enjoy life and the change.

she smiles from her chair.
Anger is good though.

(OOC - His name is one reason he is a barbarian, although I think "berserker" is more accurate here. His upbringing is too civilized for a true barbarian, but the combination of his name and his multiple failures left him with anger issues. But his anger, channeled appropriately, makes him useful in a fight.)

Taldan by chance...
But when Taldor benefits, I benefit.

The Exchange

Battle Axe and Sawtooth Saber. Twin sawtooth sabers when I can afford 2 MW weapons. I have proficiency, so I have 1d8 from a light weapon.
