Savola's page

Never being one to say no to a cup of coffee, I definitely need one this morning. I immediately get my coffee when I get to the kitchen. I give everyone a grumble that barely resembles a greeting and get something to eat.

I turn to Kjartan and say, "It is strange that you should mention dreams, mine were slightly unsettling. Nothing a good cup of coffee can't fix. Other than that the bed was quite comfortable, I mean I can sleep outside if I have to but I dont understand how you can prefer it to sleeping inside."

I then slap my forehead and realize that I don't have suitable clothes for attending a funeral. How I could be so forgetful is beyond me. "I am going into town to do some shopping, I'll be around if I'm needed. Anyone care to join me?"

I'll be looking to buy some traveling clothes since I was so ill prepared for the bad weather and some proper funeral attire.

Haha I suppose I should say that most of my supplies are in the saddlebags near my horse at the stable. However besides the clothes I have on my person and the ring on my finger, I do keep my staff with me at most times and have it right now.

"Ah! I will gladly take one of your bedrooms! I'm tired of sleeping outside and wish only to sleep in a comfy bed." I say as I begin to make my way to where the bedrooms are.

I turn towards Kendra and immediately stand as she enters the room and say, "Of course Kendra, I would gladly be a pallbearer in your father's funeral. Though honored by your request, I must say I am curious as to why the locals would give you such problems. Please tell us why this is and what we can do to help."

Diplomacy 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (8) + 7 = 15

After thinking long and hard about Lodwinn's question I tell Lodwinn, "No, I was never aware of anybody that was hostile towards the professor. However, Professor Lorrimer seemed to be concerned with necromancy. Though he never told me about why he was bothered by it, he would often mutter to himself about necromancy."

I graciously accept Falconer Icebane's sketch of me and after seeing he portrayed the Professor in the other drawing I remark, "Thank you very much for this picture. Though it has been a while since I have seen the Professor, you have captured his likeness efficiently. I am afraid I am curious, if it not much of a bother, how you learned to draw like this? You say you are a monk however, I am not sure how practicing the art of drawing fits into your training?"

Looking at Kjartan, I nod and say, "Yes, hopefully Kendra has a good explanation for all of this."

Then turning towards Lodwinn I say, "Let me think about your question for a bit, its been a while since I've been with the Professor..."

Haha I just realized we've reached a second page on this thread :P

I have the Game Master's Guide, Beastiary 1&2, Core Rulebook, Advanced Players Guide, and theUltimate Magic. Though I have the pdf you provided the link for the Campaign I'll admit I hadn't really read in depth about Harrow Points, nor have I really looked at the specifics of Hero points in the APG.

On another side note I'm not sure how to answer Lodwinn's question. I'm sorry I never really decided on what town I come from and what not but I at least studied with the Professor in Ravengro, is there anything that I'd know about what Lodwinn is asking about hostile factions or people to the Professor? Should I roll Knowledge? I'm very sorry, as I am new to this as well as Zaroff and Kjartan are, and am just curious as to how I should proceed.

I turn toward the lady in the room, and say "Everyone in this room has introduced themselves, yet you haven't done so. Forgive me for being out of line, but maybe it is you who can shed some light on as to why we are here and who else we may see tonight?"

Savola had been staring into the bottom of his cup, lost in thought, until the mentioning of his name brought him out of his deep thinking.

It was Lodwinn's mentioning of clerics that had gotten Savola thinking, Professor Lorrimer was a smart man who wasn't afraid and had the resources to afford protection when he needed it. What exactly was the cause of the Professor's death? Some of the people in the room seemed quite capable of killing the professor themselves, namely the man named Zaroff and the woman with the hat who had joined them in the kitchen. If the professor knew so many people, how did Kendra know to contact us? Out of all of the people the Professor had met, what made us so special?

Kjartan's mentiong of Savola's name had snapped him out of his deep thought and said, "I've beginning to wonder that myself, Kjartan. Exactly who else does the Professor know and how did Kendra know to contact us? Of all the people the Professor met on his travels, why us? Who else will be coming tonight, I do not know. But what I also wish to know more of is exactly what was the cause of Professor Lorrimer's death?"

After immediatly following Kendra's instructions as to where I could find a good meal and a place to get warm; I finish my coffee and a light dinner in the kitchen. I then turn my attention to the others that are in the room.

"Well hello there, I assume that we are all acquaintance's of the former Professor Lorrimer. Allow me to introduce myself, I am Savola, and it is my pleasure to meet you all. It's been a while since I was last in Ravengro, I was but a student then, my mentor was Lorrimer himself. I left as soon as I had received Kendra's letter. Even though Lorrimer was my teacher, we had become good friends and found that we could enlighten eachother with what we had learned. I will miss the Professor." I explain as I get up to help myself to more coffee.

Cold and wet (for in Savola's haste he forgot to pack suitable cloths for bad weather), he finally arrives at the door of his late mentor, Professor Lorrimer. Seeing that at least another has arrive before him, he goes to get his horse stabled before making his presence known at the main door of the estate. Once his horse is taken care of and he is let inside, Savola says, "Thank you very much, Kendra, I will gladly help myself to your coffee. I am sorry we had to meet on such occasion."

Savola does what he says and gets some coffee, he also looks about the house for a fireplace to begin warming himself in front of, preferably one with a comfy chair nearby.

I've changed my Signet Ring to become a Ring of Protection +1 and sitll bear the symbol of my family and my Quarterstaff to be of Masterwork quality.

Oh haha thanks! Thats good to know. I'll have to see what I can spend it on. Oh hey and I remembered to use the right avatar this time :S

Hey! This would be Trevor, and this is my character that I would like to use with your campaign. Its all there and I don't think I'm missing anything but let me know if I need to change anything. I am looking forward to playing again haha. Let's just hope that my dice rolls here will be slightly better than when I physically roll them...
