I earned the Nufriend Skittermander and the Pahtra boons, but have heard different information regarding how to "unlock" the character ancestry.

[Told at a Con] You run your other characters (or GM) to check off the boxes. Once they're all checked, you can then run the character with that ancestry at first level.

[Told by my local GM] You create the character with that ancestry at 1st level and run it until you've checked all the boxes. Then you can keep the character.

Which is correct?

This will be my first time DMing a Starfinder Society game for my friends. One of them asked me what the rule is for buying something (in his case a bag of marbles) that wasn't listed in the book. I pointed him to the Additional Resources and we're both scouring it looking for marbles/ball bearings/similar item.

Is there DM discretion to let Society players buy inconsequential, non-sanctioned items?

Do you have a -701 listed in your Organized Play summary, or is that character number missing?

It's missing.

Did you delete a character at some point? I know I made the mistake of deleting instead of editing in the organized play screen for Pathfinder 2E so now I do not have a -2002 character, and I am wondering if you accidentally did something similar. It's not the end of the world for your first character to be -702, but it does look odd.

Not that I'm aware of, but it's possible I might have clicked something I shouldn't have.

Is there a way to get the sessions I played as 701 credited to 702?

I just started playing league games at GameFest 2019. Had a blast with the pregenerated characters. I was told that the xp, gp, fame, etc. would be credited to my first online character (701 for Starfinder, 2001 PF2, 1 PF1).

My problem is that when I created my online characters, they all started out at 702, 2002, and 2. I never created an online character before this, so I'm not sure why it changed the numbering. So now all the xp and stuff are being credited to the wrong characters.

Is this a computer glitch? Is this something that can be fixed at the DM level or does Paizo have to do it? Or is this something I just have to live with, losing all that gametime?

1 person marked this as a favorite.

I ran several Starfinder games at some local conventions using the pregen characters, nd was told that the XP and boons I earned would go towards my first character (701). I hadn't at that point created any online at all.

After my games I created my character (Savik Sunkiller), but noticed she has the designation 702 instead of 701. So all the sessions that I played were credited to 701.

Is there a way to get those fame, reputation, and xp credited to her instead?

As a side note: I've actually had this problem with both my Pathfinder 1st ed and 2nd ed characters as well. Maybe it's a computer glitch?
