Except that when 2nd level rolls around, the Empiricist archetype allows him to use his INT modifier for Perception, Disable Device, Sense Motive & UMD rolls.
I have a concern about part of Uret's Gestalt class combo. Specifically, about the Investigator half of it. Sarona's built to be a crafter/trap-breaker. I've just had to deal with a scenario where one of my old players was being overshadowed by another player who had much the same skillset as she did--I'm a little concerned about that, really.

It kinda seems that way... It's happened three times with Sarona, too. What do you guys say to finding ourselves another GM?
So, can we move on? Or is real life getting in the way?
"You know about these things?" Sarona nods. "I do. Mostly through thorough inspection according to the doctrine of the Whisper in Bronze." "I saw a similar creature once, and destroyed it. I was wandering, in despair and uncertain of my future. And then I saw it. I took it as a sign from Gorum, and found my way here. Who else would animate pieces of metal but Our Lord In Iron? So it may have been Gorum's will that this metal creature came alive again." "Brigh could. She can gift the spark of life to creatures such as these." Sarona shrugs and rubs her hands together. "This event has created more questions than it has answered. I'm in agreeance with Sir Daggertooth. I doubt this little anomaly with be causing anymore trouble, and we have an assignment to complete." Sarona blinks and nods. "It would be the most efficient course of action, yes."
Sarona pats Val on the head. "I think I will be staying here, if you will allow it." She's then hit with a flash of thought. "Val, the last I checked of the clockwork drone, its power supply was depleted. In order to move around, the drone would need to have its power supply replenished... how did that happen, I wonder?"
Sarona returns Val's hug with an audible sigh of relief. "Oh, praise be to Brigh... yes, we have spoken with the Council, and we have agreed to find Khonnir and bring him home." Her eyebrow quirks in confusion. "Val, how did the clockwork servant reanimate? I inspected it myself this morning and it seemed to be entirely inanimate..." Did I miss something?
Sarona cringes as the metal construct is swiftly reduced to scrap. I thought I had inspected it most thoroughly already... She shakes her head and lowers her hand. "Val? Val, are you alright? Where are you?"
Sarona flexes her hand and conjures a bolt of blue fire which she launches at the robot!
Who did you use for Sarona's avatar, GM? She looks great!
"A clockwork servant." Sarona replies, her knuckles whitening around her hammer's grip. "I thought it was completely inactive--I inspected it myself." She steps to the side and prepares to throw a bolt of fire at the mechanical being's backside.
Sarona races for the eastern door and moves to yank it open. "Val! Help is on its way!"

Sarona humbly accepts the well-wishes of the townsfolk as she leads the party to the Foundry. Though her anxiety doesn't seem to have been relieved too much, the people's hope gives her much-needed resolve to carry on.
Sarona hears the *THUMP-THUMP-THUMPING* before hearing Val's scream. Her heart leaps into her throat and she immediately draws her hammer. "Val!" She turns to the rest of the party, her eyes wide. "Something's wrong--let's go!"
Anyone heard from Veronica's player?
Sarona nods her head. "I believe I am adequately equipped for this mission. However, I would like to stop by the Foundry before we go. My sister, Val, needs to be informed of where I will be going."
"Even though I am a smith, I do more than just craft weapons and armour. The earth can grant one many ways to express your devotion to our goddess, if you but look." Sarona twiddles her fingers. "I have felt more of a connection to Brigh's gifts of fire--the fires of invention & inspiration." -------------------The great temple of Brigh has always been a comforting sight for Sarona, even more so now that Khonnir has gone missing. The weathered facade of the domed building, the great statues of clockwork angels flanking its stone doors, the odour of burning coal and oil mixing together... all those sights & smells provided the young android with a familiar feeling of belonging. The anxiety she feels fades away as she crosses the temple's threshold. The main chapel of the temple looks to have been recently used for a mass. The several rows of pews are set straight, each of them facing an altar with a large chalkboard behind it. Stray papers can be seen here and there in the pews, sitting on shelves sticking out of the ones before them. The overall look of the chapel is more suggestive of a great study hall than a place of worship. When she sees Father Kyte standing next to the altar, speaking with one of the town councilors, Sarona gets a little spring in her step and she moves to greet her mentor. "Sarona, Veronica, who are your companions?" Sarona offers Father Kyte a quick bow and waves a hand at the others. "These are Ozak, Tesla, and Artificer 'Ironface'. We plan on mounting an expedition to venture under the Black Hill." "Aye, those caves are under Weeping Pond. The entrance is flooded, but I can bless you with water breathing to help you gain entrance. For your group, the blessing should last roughly four to five hours. Let me know when your ready to enter the caves." The redheaded acolyte nods. "I was about to ask you if you had any blessings to aid us. Thank you, Father."

"I can lead us to the temple. Father Kyte should still be in his workshop, if he's not performing mass yet." Sarona starts to walk to the town hall's doors before pausing when the Orcish conversation starts up again. Hmm. Interesting. "I am glad to see someone here appreciates the art of the earth and its resources. I am eager to go on this expedition." Sarona smiles slightly, her pale grey cheeks turning a bit pink. "Thank you, sir. Admittedly, smithing is not really my field--I specialize in the crafting & maintenance of mechanical devices."
And I like them just the way they are, thank you.
Sarona nods. "I believe Val would be more than happy to accommodate us."
"You should speak to Joram Kyte, he may be able to help you access the caves with one of his spells." Sarona's eyes brighten at the mention of his name. "I hope so--he should be willing to provide us with assistance." Or at least, he should be willing to provide me with assistance. "..But not many understand the language of my creator. So associates have come to call me Tesla." While Sarona couldn't understand the strange language the other android spoke (and for some reason, she felt like she should), part of her was relieved to finally hear the android speak. "Greetings, Tesla." "The group was explicitly asking about the source of the torch, more so than than the usual passing curiosity. Of the four groups, none have returned other than Khonnir's first excursion. The source of our torch being extinguished may very well be elsewhere, but given the timing of its extinguishing and the location of these new Black Hill Caves, which are under Weeping Pond, this seems the only route of investigation for now." Sarona goes quiet when Councilor Freddert explains more. "Unless anyone else has more questions, perhaps we should set about preparing for an expedition." Sarona looks around at the others. "Also, I..." She sniffs and feels a surge of anxiety in her chest. "...I need to inform Val of the news." Her grip on Veronica's arm tightens slightly. I do not believe Val will take this news well.
"I'm sorry, Sarona. I hadn't realized he was gone that long. But Khonnir is wise - he's probably just discovered something that captured his attention is all! We'll find him and bring him back." Sarona looks over at Veronica and rubs her eyes with the back of her hand. "...perhaps." The gnawing anxiety in her stomach subsides somewhat. I hope. "Hmmm... nobody knows how this torch thing works, though, right? So why do you think the answer lies in these Black Hill Caves? And what can you tell us about them?" The half-orc's questions cause Sarona to pay more attention to the proceedings. Part of her wonders why she hadn't thought of those questions before now. It is likely because of my concern for Khonnir's welfare. I should pay attention to this.
Sarona's hands disappear into her apron pockets when Councilor Freddert begins speaking. "Sarona, Veronica! I hear you two are interested in helping our town. Tis' a sad state when we rely on our young ones to solve Torch's dilemma." Sarona shifts from foot to foot. "I would have volunteered my assistance anyway, Councilor." "The crux of the problem is the extinguished torch. Its been eight days since it went out, and already there have been three groups that have tried to help. Each has failed to return. It was Khonnir who found the tracks leading into the Black Hill Caves, I do hope he finds his way back soon. Same as you Sarona, I'm sorry that this event has caused you worry and grief." The android blinks and looks down. "Thank you, Councilor." She feels the corners of her eyes start stinging. She shakes her head and looks up again.
Sarona shakes her head. "I have no questions, Councilor."
Sarona flinches as Veronica flourishes her pepperbox pistol, but once she reveals that the gun isn't loaded she relaxes somewhat. She arches an eyebrow in surprise as Veronica speaks to Ozak in Orcish, but she keeps silent. Interesting. I had no idea you were fluent in that tongue, Veronica. "She knows me though! Her dad helped me learn more about this gun. They're good people, really." The half-elf can't help but notice Ozak's markings and scars and quickly deduces that he must be an android or something similar as well. Ending with a wink she says in a mischievous tone, "You may realize you are more alike than you think!" Sarona scratches her head, letting her red hair fall through her fingers. "What she says is true--Khonnir has been quite helpful in assisting her with the construction and maintenance of her firearm." "At any rate, my name is Sarona Epsilon. Councilor Khonnir Baine is my legal guardian."
Sarona's going for a Diplomatic approach as well. I like the idea of Khonnir raising her to never tell lies. :) MAD is an acronym for Multiple Attribute Dependent. It's commonly used to denote classes & builds that require lots of high ability scores to function. Ex. The core monk.
Admittedly, I was more concerned with building a character whose concept really clicked with me instead of worrying about how effective she'll be in combat. A cute android girl devoted to tinkering with machines and discovering new things about the world and herself? Sounded good to me. :)
"Those are interesting tattoos. Are you from the same tribe?" "Hmm?" Sarona turns to the half-orc who addressed her and nervously shakes her head. "It is simply a trait we share, I think. Nothing more than that." Sarona clasps her hands together and starts wringing them. "I don't even know her name..."
Question. The basis of understanding a problem and solving it is first identifying it. The question to be asked: Why are my hands shaking? The redheaded android looks down at her hands with a worried expression. Her grey, blue-lined hands are trembling as she sits in her seat, seemingly in time with the gnawing feeling in her stomach. Propose. Once a question has been asked, an answer must be posited. My proposal is thus: My hands are shaking because of Khonnir Baine's disappearance. She looks up from her hands at the other people gathered in the town hall. Of all the faces in the crowd, she only really recognizes one. The gun-toting half-elf at the receptionist's desk (I think her name is Veronica...?) gives her a cheerful wave acknowledging her presence. Sarona just waves back, her hand still trembling as she does so. The android's eyes linger on the gun at Veronica's side. Part of her always wondered how that piece of technology works. She wrinkles her nose and takes a sharp breath before looking back down at her hands. Test. In order for a problem to be solved, the answer posited to the question must be determined empirically. In this case, in order to do so, Khonnir Baine must be found. She sneaks a quick peek at some of the more interesting-looking people in the town hall. A heavily-scarred dwarf wearing a mage's robes and a symbol of Brigh--causing the gnawing anxiety in her body to subside somewhat before it returns--next to a tall, grey-skinned half-orc with a wicked double axe and a grim, intimidating demeanour, and another android--this one looking like she is prepared for multiple forms of combat. Sarona clasps her hands together before sliding them into pockets on her grease-stained work apron. She stands up and approaches the front desk, her nervousness visible in her sharp blue eyes.

I was planning on speccing Sarona out as a crafter of technological items--admittedly, this might be a bit of a pipe dream depending on when I can actually do that.
Regarding HP, I'm leaning towards taking the average + 1. No real opinion on what Crafting rules we use.

Hmm. I thought that'd be the case. It's just that I checked the Archive of Nethys and they only listed one alternate racial trait--for nanite surges.

Oh, it's okay. :) I looked over your sheet, and I think you might have forgotten to include the -4 penalty androids take to Sense Motive rolls, on account of being Emotionless.

And she's done! For your perusal, GM: Meet Sarona Epsilon, an android adopted by Khonnir Baine and initiated into the faith of Brigh. During her off-hours, she enjoys making small wind-up mechanical toys for the children of Torch. Mechanically, she's a gestalted Iron Priestess/Numerian Scavenger with a planned focus on crafting Technological items, if that sort of thing will eventually be allowed.
