Saren charges down the hallway, jumping a before he reaches the gargoyle to deliver a flying kick to the face of the beast. Followed by an attempt to tumble/propel himself to the other side of the gargoyle.

"Oh goodie, a gargoyle. I have fought a few of these a while ago, though never one with four arms. How fun." Saren grins with a half laugh, he then quickly puts on a serious face and a fire lights in his eyes.

Remember play smart, not fast. Saren pulls out his mage armor wand from his belt while moving back down the hall away from the gargoyle still keeping within 55 feet of Garret. "If possible try to keep a clear path between me and the gargoyle! Flying kicks to the head always worked well." Damn, I should have been more ready for this. I am so dumb.

    Saren grabs a handful (at least 10) of rocks from the ground (If necessary he'll go back outside and grab a few). Miss Hollybigcentaurthing, would you like the honors of lighting these rocks for me?

    Once the rocks are lit, Saren throws 2+ down each of the pits. After he drops the rocks he gets down on his stomach and looks at the traps walls.

    After the first one he looks a little disappointed, and after each of the others he grows more and more disappointed, until he finds the secret door!
    "DOOR! Found our door!" Saren jumps up from the ground dashing over to the others.

    While everyone is at the end of the hall Saren is pacing back and forth through the where the light is visible. Mumbling a bit to himself.

    Saren heads back to Garret with a smile on his face. "Garret, open all the other pits as well. I think the lever in the chest will open two of the pits to something. I can easily make the jump back to you guys or we can just put a plank of wood down for me to cross, but I think that everyone should be on this side (the side with the arch) before I trigger it. So we don't have to deal with getting back across."

    Saren pulls out a bolt and presses it into the catch opening the bottom. Hmmmm we have a lever here, smells like we have a trap within a trap. My vote is to move on.

    If not...:

    Saren pulls out a magnet from his backpack and tried to see if the needle is loose and will come out of the catch disabling the catch trap, if the needle doesn't come out then he calls Garret over to come disable the device.

    Saren explore's all around the hill looking for any clues to what had been caused the entrances to become buried. His crossbow out and loaded in case anything pops out trying to catch him off guard. Saren grabbed some dirt from around the entrances to study and closely looking at the plants for any sign of a specific contamination. Seeing nothing in particular of note he heads back to the party.

    A Harrow reading? I would usually say yes to one of those but I think I know my fate...
    Anyway, there is nothing special about the collapse or entrances, save for the obvious contamination of the surrounding area. Assuming Gralamin to be correct, the denizens of this place took great care to make this look like a natural occurrence. How do you propose we get through one of the entrances? None of them looked particularly easier than the others? I don't suppose anyone brought shovels. Haha

    So I managed to find a little time to get together a character... I know it is passed Friday which you said you would pick your party, BUT you haven't yet so I hope I am not too late. >.<

    Saren comes from a long line of Vampire Hunters. The Artimus family even runs a fairly successful business when ever undead arise and need killing. From a young age Saren was taught to kill the undead, but in a very peculiar way. His father, whom was a little loopy from past experiences insisted that most of the undead were much easier to fell with the bare hands. Using feint tactics to throw them off and lower their defenses and then strike at the opportune time. Though at first Saren had troubles accpting this beilief he found that this was actually a reliable strategy as half the undead he fought were stupid morons and couldn't adapt to his style.

    During the last few years he has been hired to many new things that aren't specifically related to the undead. More or less just killing things that people need killing. Or even investigating odd disappearances of "well known" people.

    Now Saren finds himself traveling halfway around the world to find a scholar that went missing, and he was hired to find out why and bring him back in one piece.
