Question 1) I have this weird feeling that Synthesist summoners can't benefit from morale bonuses due to wearing their eidolon and using its physical stats.

I see no ruling to support it, but I can't shake the feeling. Input? I hope my gut's wrong there, might be playing one soon.

Question 2) Not really a rules question, but meh. Any way to get something like the Magus' spell combat on a Bloodrager? Best I can come up with is a conductive weapon.

So, I'm playing in an upcoming game as a ZAM.
Group needed some ranged power, all casters are banned.

On to the questions.
A) Is there some method to pick up multiple active style feats wthout using the MoMS archetype?
B) What would be some nice spells for a ZAM to cast?

Explanation for B. The DM has clarified that at some point in the campaign we will be gaining some form of intrinsic SLAs. I don't want to be caught with my pants down, so I'd like to be prepared.

Currently I'm eyeing up self-buffs like gravity, aspect of the falcon,
mage armor, bark skin, blood crow, etc.

Would love to pick up darkness/deeper darkness, but only core races are permitted, so I'm human.

Background info;
Have a campaign that's been going for a while now, one of the players went Diabolist.
Been roleplaying it as a mage Jonathan Stroud style (Bartimaeus trilogy).
He's decided in keeping with that style, he'll be taking an apprentice.

This is where the spell comes in, his character wishes to insure that no spirit ever learns the child's real name, as lore-wise we've been going with the matching assumption to the series that having knowledge of a person's name gives the outsider some level of defense against being bound, especially if they get the person's birth name.

The character plans to use Damnation of Memory to wipe the memories of anyone who knows the child's name.

There is a will save on this spell.

I immediately dislike the implication that 5% of the population of any town will ignore a casting of the spell.
Multiple castings would help, but also get expensive and would require multiple material components.

So, I'm wondering how to run this spell. On one hand, I want it to succeed on mooks relatively easily.
On the other foot, I want people with competent will saves to have that chance of ignoring it.

Currently I'm debating running in a similar manner to one of the Power Word spells.
Any entity below x-health and y-HD don't even get to attempt the save.

Thoughts?
Criticism?
Suggestions?

Playing in a game at Uni, which will serve as an introductory game for a load of new players.

Setting is zombie survival, still in canonical time Golarion.
Gonna be playing a human paladin (OathOfVengeance/WarriorOfTheHolyLight/HolyGuide).

Stats will be through NPC heroic stat array, WBL as heroic NPC value.
Level is 3.

The point of this is, I'm frankly torn between gear selections.

My plan is to cover as many bases as possible and attempt to keep the newbies alive and kicking.

As for gear, DM has said low fantasy (hence trading out spell casting) so I'm trying to avoid going nuts on magical swag.
General area will be assumed to be urban (I mean, zombie survival. Urban. Gonna happen.)

Current items of note I've looked over are:
Meditation Crystals (Channel into them for extra LoH uses for the next day).
Lucerne Hammer (Yay for breaking/entering for looting)
Crowbar/Shovel/TravelersAnyTool

Obligatory Rope/Pole/Pitons/GrapplingHook.

Any ideas for alchemical/mechanical goodies I can utilize?

Edit: No traits unless obtained via feat(BonusTraits).
No flaws into feats either.

Keeping it simple for the newbies for now.

So long story short, I'm currently running a homebrew campaign in which one of the parties hasRecently/isCurrently joined/joining a cabal of mage hunters.

To wit, I have several magi of various builds and levels of paranoia ready to be assaulted by the lovely murderhobos, but my creativity only goes so far. (I find myself utilizing Goz Masks far too frequently as combat or escape mechanisms).

So what defenses would the magi of the denizens of this forum erect?
How would you stave off a hit squad of hunters?
The party is mostly sneaky martials with a pair of maguses (magi? I hate the overlapping terms) tossed on for good measure.

Any tips, tricks, characters traits, concepts, etcetera, etcetera, would be appreciated.

Edit: I realized this could be misconstrued as asking solely for advice.
I'm looking for more of a creative bent with mechanical icing on this, not necessarily an "As per RAW" spiel. I'm quite content with the mechanical challenge I can present to the players, it's the mindset that I'm having some trouble with.
Attempting to put myself in the slippers of so many magi is rather difficult for me.

To note, I can still understand how this would fit under the advice sub-forum, I felt general discussion was more fitting for the tone of response I hope to see.
