Hello all.

I'm a somewhat experienced Pathfinder player and I'm looking for a game. I'd really like a chance to play rather than GM, and I'm quite an easy-going, friendly sorta guy. I live in Halton Hills in southern Ontario, but I'm capable of going beyond there as long as it's about a half an hour or less drive. I have access to numerous books, models, dice, and various other gaming accessories that I can bring along.

If you have any questions, comment or send me a PM.

Thanks for listening.

Ah, but silent image and it's derivatives aren't mind-affecting, they're figments. So would it merely work normally?

If not, I suppose an illusionist in a Serpent's Skull game would be a bad idea.....

Hhhmmm.....seems he was bullsh%$ing me.....and I couldn't act in that encounter too because of that!!!

ARRGH!!!

Anyone else have thoughts or opinions?

I heard somewhere a while ago that creatures immune to mind-affecting effects (undead, constructs, specific creatures like sinspawn and serpentfolk, etc) automatically fail will saves to disbelieve illusion spells like minor image and the like, even if they're sentient.

Is this supported in any way? Or was that guy bullsh*&ing me?

Don't forget Shub-Niggurath! She's an actual god in the Golarion setting, and definitely counts as an evil nature/fertility deity. But if you're not into the Cthulhu Mythos, probably not a good idea.

I could totally see that. And to hell with Games Workshop! I've been gouged by them for almost a decade! They can take their ridiculously over-priced models and shove them up their....

Wait...no...get out of my house!...No no...NO...WHERE ARE YOU THROWING MEEEEEEE!!!!!!......

If anything, it would be the greatest opportunity to learn about Azlant in known history. Imagine, talking to a living, breathing Azlanti! That's the stuff of scholars' wet dreams right there.

Try Lost Cities of Golarion, it has a section on the Sun Temple Colony, a lost colony founded by Chelish settlers who were driven mad by crazy sun demon ooze things.......yeah, that's a thing. But if I remember correctly, it does describe the ruins and such.

EDIT: the ruins of Azlant, that is.

I always thought the whole deity/cleric relationship was a bit more involuntary on the deity's part. There are plenty of examples of gods and beings who don't even know (or care) that they have worshipers, but they grant them power nonetheless.

Kind of like a vending machine, pop in a prayer, get a spell.

Oh, it's completely up to you. There's not much precedent for that but whatever you think would be best.

Seems ok to me. I don't know much about Forgotten Realms (lore bloat to the extreme), but I like them, and I've always loved the Kuo-Toa.

One question though. When it says under Kuo-Toa '+2 constitution/intelligence', what do you mean? Do you mean +2 constitution and intelligence?

GMing a homebrew game once, and the party was guarding a caravan going through the mountains headed towards the dwarven capital. On the way they hear the sounds of a struggle, and three orcs are trying to rough up a dwarven woman (who turns out to be the king's daughter). After they rescue her, completely oblivious to who she is, the caravan master comes up, and I got a little too far into the roleplaying without realizing what I was saying.

"Don't you know who this is. She's the son of the dwarven king!!"

......meant to say daughter......

Anyways, for the rest of the campaign there was the running joke that the dwarven princess was actually a rather gender-confused prince.

Mr. chaoseffect, that has to be one of the greatest things I've ever seen on this forum. Hats off to you sir!!

Super intelligent gorilla wizards. That is all.

This intrigues me, the whole 'war with the aboleths' thing. Sounds very Elder Thing-y. Unless that was a completely unrelated conflict, the aboleth's being all 'this is mah house! Get da fuq out!', and the Elder Things and/or Vault Builders were like 'make me!', and it degenerated from there (though I suspect the conversation would have gone a bit more eloquently).

Would anyone be interested in giving an opinion on my 'Denizen of Leng' conversion?

Howdy! As I said, I stated up the Denizen of Leng, and I'm going to do a few others if no else will. Here's the link. Formatting sucks, but hopefully the rules aren't too crappy.

I guess hatred really does make you strong.

I know from first hand experience that some people can sustain themselves on nothing but sheer spite.

Remember, true deities like Sarenrae and others can, on a certain level, be understood by mortal minds. The Outer Gods can not.

Something to think about.

As a Lovecraft Nerdazoid, I'd love to see the Denizen of Leng done like this. Ooh! Maybe even the Moonbeast or Yithian!

In fact, if you're too busy, I could try to stat it up for you, and you could include it in there if you want. I'm also a little familiar with hero lab editing (though I admit I am no expert), I could possibly give it a shot.
