Jesus ¡@!$! What the ¿$&! did you stick me with? Is is Saturday night already? My dodge blows, no point in trying. I take 6 points of damage. Toughness 62
Jack returned fire with his taser pistol point blank before sliding down to the unconscious brute and hastily binding him: BS: 32+30+5= 67
Wounds: 10/19, (still above half)

Dodging without the skill is Agi - 20 I believe Agi: 31-20=11
Jack couldn't get out of the way in time, and took the round straight in the chest. Oof, that was a good one! Jack took cover with Bob nearby, and reloaded his rifle. When he is next able to, he takes another shot: BS: 32+5=37
One degree of success, this time Toughness -20. I think they get another round in before I can fire back. Wounds: 16/19

Upon the guidance and intel from his superiors, Jack sets up his EMP rocket and will fire as soon as he sees a viable UFO target: full round action to aim once set up, with Bob bracing me BS: 37+10+5=52
Edit: 3 degrees of success [i] Jack waits quietly and patiently for the first sign of a follow-up attack, then (presumably) stays on target.

I'll swap out my gear for the taser rifle, EMP rockets for the launcher, and I'll keep my taser pistol for close range. For this mission, Bob will handle my prisoners and bring them back to our pick-up point. I request from HQ 2-3 guards to be at the pick-up point to be able to guard prisoners that Bob will bring to them. By chance, do you have any better cuffs I can use on these alleged bigger aliens? I don't mind risking my neck, as long as there are people to properly process the targets.

From what I remember of anything related to XCom, having long-range capability is always nice. Since I banked my previous batch of XP and never spent it, I think I'll spend 750/800 XP on my next two toughness advances, bringing it up to a total of 62. Last advance is probably not worth it since it won't push me past the magic threshold.

With mission #3 out of the way, I am interested in group feedback for the campaign. I am more than happy to keep trucking along onto new adventures, and I will play my part to be more active on the forum/threads. We started with frequent posts, but scaled back as time went on. In my experience with pbp though, this is fairly normal. In terms of group cohesion, I think this is a solid group. In that regard, I would not want to change anything.

Sir, you'll notice the prisoner we brought back with us, who is currently in our holding cell. He didn't say much, but one look at him and you'll notice they've been playing around with gene therapies of their own..... whoever they are. Hopefully our interrogators can get more out of him. In terms of gene therapies of our own, I volunteer to take part. I'm tough enough to handle whatever the geek squad can throw my way, and I can give you research data that has been battle-tested. Will the therapy cost XP?

Jack looks in disgust as he walks into the "Frankenstein Room". He quickly cuffs their live subject with manacles and quickly checks inside the person's mouth to make sure there's no cyanide pill or equivalent before they regain their senses: Rolling awareness for overall search of the prisoner, Perception 32
Be right with you boss, ensuring our bonus prize isn't packing any hidden surprises. [i] After Jack ensures their live capture remains live, he gives their capture a shake-down for any weapons/tech/tracking devices. Presumably making the prisoner safe for transport, Jack helps stuff relevant goodies in a duffel bag.

Jack tries a tech-use test to disable the device from behind it's range: Int 31:
Jack's arm is still hampering his abilities, he is absolutely furious. Spectre! My f***ing arm is f***ing causing me s***!!! Having trouble aiming or disabling this ************ thing, I may need to get this ********* thing looked at.
Male Human Dude
Seriously, automated weapons? Come out and fight like a man! WP=32 1d100 ⇒ 9 Jack takes his favourite (& wounded) arm and flips off the turret, before spending a turn to reload his shotgun and close ground on the turret. Valkyrie, this is Beowulf, we won't take too long with this obstacle and will regroup soonest

Hey! That's my favourite arm!!! Having taken away 2 of his 19 wounds, Jack plays "economist" and shows the gentleman what a return on investment is: Shotgun on full auto, point blank: BS=57
Jack grimaced as he swung around and shot at the man in the room; the pain in his arm causing his shot to go wide and miss. Clip: 3/12

Ah, good to know. Either way, he's probably going to feel it!

Jack sees the guy behind the chair take out what he assumes is a grenade and rushes him point blank with the shotgun. Jack is crazy like that. Word of advice: Don't bring a grenade to a Jack fight. Shotgun on full auto point-blank: BS=37+30-10=57
Three degrees of success Three bullets hit, plus scatter effect for four hits total: 1d10 + 3 ⇒ (10) + 3 = 13 + 1d10 ⇒ 7 = 20
Righteous fury confirm: 1d100 ⇒ 50 Clip: 7/12
This is the kind of adrenaline high Jack was seeking, the Discovery Channel just quite isn't the same.

Sorry for my period of inactivity; 10 hour days have become 12 hour days, and as soon as I leave work my phone starts buzzing. Pete is 100% correct that in times like these, people can act in my absence until I can get the crazy under control. Jack is back in the action! I missed shooting aliens in the face.
