I get it. There's a huge difference between where you were when you joined these games and where you are now, and it got you through a hell of a lot.

I'd have to agree with you on all counts. It's been a wonderful run, and brought some great real-life connections that will last far beyond the game but it definitely isn't quite the same. That being said, some of these characters will always be my favorites. AND YOU KNOW THAT ANYTHING YOU WANT TO RUN AT ANY TIME, I'M IN!

It's not you. Stuff has been chaos for me too. Dealing with a bunch of things, and yesterday was taking Sivan to eye appointments and renewing license, which she'll actually have to go in person to deal with because it's an enhanced license. I took tomorrow off and plan to spend most of the day writing so will post in all the games in the next 24 hrs. Sorry Henry.

Setting her gear down, Sadhana removes her armor, changing into her dark breeches and deep blue tunic, and buckling her sword-belt back on out of habit, before heading back into the, living area, taking a deep breath of the fragrant stew and fresh-baked bread. ”Wow, that smells amazing.”
They won't give them a choice if they're in the path of the fires. The police are literally going to people's houses and telling them to get the hell out
Yeah. There's areas in California and parts of Oregon, where we can't even schedule appointments because of the air condition being hazardous to techs. This is one of the worst
"Think of it as a reward for all the roughing it, it took to get to where you can do this." Sādhanā says with a smile as she heads inside, taking a deep breath of the warm air.
Been awake for 26 hrs. Will post in the morning
"I think we should be fine with roughing it, though if everyone would rather the ease of the hut, not knowing what we might be walking into in the morning, that's fine too. Might make more sense really." Sādhanā reasons
"I could teleport us closer, but it wouldn't be that accurate not seeing it myself, and we aren't completely sure that light is the town, though it likely is. I think the safest thing might be for us to camp here tonight and make for that direction in the morning." Sādhanā says, considering their options.
"Maybe we'd have a better view from the air. If there was any place within decent walking distance, we would be able to see some sign of it from the air, smoke from fires, something like that." the magus suggests.
Ugh. It's pretty ridiculous.
"I would think so. Hunters usually supply somewhere not too far off" Sadhana answers.
"I'm good to press on, if everyone else is, though this is probably a better place than most to stop. As long as it isn't abandoned because of something nefarious." Sādhanā replies looking over the camp.
Just take it easy, post when you can, and rest whenever you get the opportunity.
"Then this way it is." Sādhanā replies, settling her shield on her back.
Finally getting around to reading the 350+ posts in The Valwick Chronicles
"Thank you for your hospitality Arista, I hope things improve a bit around here for you." Sadhana says, gripping the other woman's hand in a warrior's handshake. "Farewell all of you." She says before heading outside.
"Unless their goal was to draw attention, to act as a lure." Sadhana muses.
I'm sure it's nothing serious, but I'm glad you got an appointment soon.

"But yes, the ancient guardian has been taken care of, and there shouldn't be any undead left down there now." Sadhana adds.
"Definitely! Five riders...added to the list." Sādhanā quips as they make their way back to the house.

"I'd rather not leave stuff like this laying around where someone less trustworthy can find it, leaving more problems for...the other Arista. Might as well gather it and let her know the danger down here is cleared. We can find someone who can use it later." Sadhana says after considering for a bit.
"Sounds like a plan!" Sadhana says, taking the scroll case and storing it safely, before looking over the room.
Sādhanā winces as the runes explode in Roshan's face, though she's happy to see that he was able to withstand what had to be a pretty vicious blast, healing most of the damage and dusting himself off. "Whatever it is, it's definitely of great value, to put a magical trap like that on it, assuming someone was able to make it past the guardian." Sādhanā comments.
"Makes sense I suppose." Sādhanā says in agreement.
Quickly speaking a word of magic to activate her boots, the magus flies up to the window's level.
Sadhana walks over to where Roshan is pointing, to take a closer look.
"It's all right, we can make sure he doesn't recover." Sādhanā says walking over to the body, and cleanly severing the man's head in a swift strike. "Celia."
Happy Birthday Andrew! Last couple days....actually last week and a half have been crazy.
As the fext advances, Sādhanā begins to loudly recite her knowledge of the creature's nature, warning her companions of what would and would not work against it.
Sādhanā’s eyes narrow as she studies the approaching enemy. Reaching within she calls upon her inner font of arcane power, tracing a glowing rune on her shield, the magic binding to her. Taking a step forward she speaks an arcane incantation, her skin rapidly shifting, transmuting to dark grey stone, as her tattoos glitter like gems. "Take another step toward any of us, and you lose your head!"
"Better I do it! If there somehow is some sort of hidden ill effect I'm likely in better condition to survive it." she says stepping forward and trying the door.
"If the requirements to open it are what it sounds like, a trap probably wasn't necessary, but it can't hurt." Sādhanā replies.
"Thank you Rosa." Sādhanā says taking the book."Every person's part in all this, matters in the end." As the pair head back, the magus studies her surrounding before looking at the book, seeking to determine the best course of action.
I tend to pick up a set of paper plates and disposable cups for when I'm too tired to bother
Sadhana rises from the table. "Yeah, we should definitely head down there and see what we find. Assuming whatever it is isn't instantly fatal, we'll update you on what lies below on the way back;" she says to this other Arista with a wry grin.
"True, better we find if what we're looking for is down there now, and plan how we move forward accordingly." Sadhana adds.
"It's definitely worth looking into." Sādhanā replies.
Sādhanā absorbs Frostine's introduction with a nod. "It is dire, entire worlds and realities are being destroyed, and we're determined to keep it from happening to this one." the Anizari says gravely. "To that point, I may be able to get past the barrier you were referring to. The gods-touched requirement may not be a problem."
Sādhanā smiles, realizing that having obviously come from elsewhere in the world, the sight of an Anizari was well outside of the ordinary for the petite blonde spellcaster. "We came traveling to Ilneas from Valwick, in search of some sort of an artifact to aid in preventing the coming of an ancient evil of unimaginable power....Cthulu." she says making eye contact with...Artista, to see if she registers the name. "It isn't overstating things to say that the fate of everyone in this reality hangs in the balance." she says somberly.
