I finally managed to go through my order that arrived on Thursday, Feb 2. I noticed on the website that it lists a Holiday card as being sent with my order. I cannot find this card in any of the packages. I have double checked all of the boxes to make sure I am not missing it. Is it possible for it to be sent with my February Subscription shipment? Thank you.
I noticed that my order history doesn't list the November Pathfinder issue that I received. It is shown in my subscription as the last issue shipped though. Also my Pathfinder Battles subscription shows that it is set to ship with my next subscription but it only shows the pathfinder holiday card there. It doesn't show the next issue of Pathfinder in that list. So far the only page that looks accurate is my subscription page. Is this normal or is there a glitch that is not showing my order history correctly?
I am currently playing in a AD&D 2e campaign set in Golarion. I am playing a Necromancer specialist with the Undead Master Kit. So far the game has been an absolute blast to play. I need a place to set up a permanent keep. Any suggestions? I am going to have a fairly large group of extraplanar beings and undead around. Currently I am favoring an island fortress of some kind. But I am open to any good suggestions. I have purchased the Inner Sea World Guide but I didn't see much information in there about places that would seem suitable. I am interested in places where there would not be many local people to bother me in my studies. Has there been any information about any of the islands in the inner sea region?
I am running a game currently for some friends who have no experience with role playing games. I have ran three sessions for them so far. To make the experience easier for them I had them make themselves as characters. I am currently looking for a good module for a low level party that has lots of role-playing involved in it. Currently the party is second level. I have been playing a relatively story light game as I introduce basic rules to them and get them familiar with different game mechanics. The group has expressed interest in playing a couple of sessions that are story dominant. I plan on running them in the Carrion Crown AP when it comes out. I need a small adventure to occupy the next couple of sessions till then. The players are getting better at the game but are still very inexperienced in RP. So my question is this: Do you all have any advice on which low level published module for Pathfinder has a good self contained story, some combat that is fun, and a good amount of character interactions? Normally I would spend a couple weeks making an adventure but I want them to keep interested in the game so I need something that is already ready to go. I am open for just about anything at this point. I am to worried about the level of the adventure since I can adjust the encounters to fit the level of the group. Thanks for your time and help,
I have looked over the classes in the playtest document. I have no real issues with any of their mechanics so far. I plan on using them as npc opponents in my current games to test them a little. I do have one problem though. The Ninja. I think it is a great alternate class. I just don't like the name. The word Ninja brings to mind a specific Japanese type of character. There weren't Ninja from other countries or ethnicities until the modern day. Now I think the class is just fine. I just don't like the name it has. If it was renamed to something else it would better fit in other settings. Perhaps call it a Slayer, Killer, Hit man, or Spy. The class mechanics can be used by a variety of mystical assassins. Since it is an Alternate Class perhaps you could even break with the one word names and call it something like a Mystic Assassin or Mystical Slayer. I know that the name is largely flavor but flavor is a big part of how things are perceived. The word Ninja is tied up with a specific culture. I would prefer classes of any sort to be as non culturally specific as possible. It also makes for easier immersion when a player wants to make something like a Hashishin from Arabic history to say use the Mystic Assassin instead of saying use the Ninja class. After all the Ninja is filled with fluff (IE: Ninja Trick) that emphasizes it's Japanese origins and flavor which would have to be renamed for other cultures. Another option would be to include alternate archetypes to use the Ninja in other cultures. Either way would help make the class more useful to non Asian games. I would also like the Samurai class to make a note between the job of being a Samurai warrior and the inherited position of being a Samurai noble. After all not all Samurai were identical. It should be possible to have a Samurai who is a Wizard, Paladin, or other class without being an Alternate Class of the Cavalier. I do like though that it is an Alternate Class of the Cavalier as opposed to being an Alternate Fighter. Anyways I would like to say that overall I like the classes. They seem well thought out. Edited for readability.
I am looking for some decent spell strategies to use for my campaign that will prove challenging to overcome but are not an auto TPK. I also don't want them to be to weak as well. I am trying to avoid effects that will feel to cheap such as high dc flesh to stone on casters, or solid fog on top of black tentacles. I am also trying to avoid tactics that are to easy to defeat such as direct damage spells like fireball and such. Characters are currently 5th level. The party consists of a Two Handed Fighter, a cleric (healing/sun), A wizard (universal), and a rogue npc. The rogue is basically used to round out the party for combat purposes. My current problem is that I don't really know of any "challenging but survivable" tactics. Direct damage tends to be very limited in usefulness against a party while many other tactics will basically result in a TPK. The players really wanted to face off against a mad sorcerer and his underlings as the main story line. So I am open to ideas for tactics of all levels as they will have to face several casters during each chapter. The game will last until about 14th level or until they are ready to choose between Serpent's Skull or Carrion Crown AP in a few months. Thanks,
