Coruscant - the Undercity - Outside - Rylla Cyn Rylla frowns. Most folks would read it as a look of dissapointment, but it was a well placed facial gesture to act along the flow of where Rylla wanted the conversation to go. Trading words were like trading blaster fire, those who got too panicky were bound to be shot down. You just need a well-placed pause, the right expression for the target, and quality words to round out the perfect shot. "Really? A target I can believe is a secret, after all, a bounty or abduction can pay well and no one gives a tip on a score without good reason. I suggest a simple "stay out of our way" tip-off to each other, and you'd rather have our friends spooked at each other if someone pulls a blaster." She lets her words hang like a thermal detonator primed, the echoes pinging as the facts she laid out started to form an ironclad logic. Persuasion: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (7) + 10 = 17 "Prove to me you can work with other professionals, and then we can trade names."

Rylla shrugged. "Crowds are like foliage if you know how to use them. As for specifics of targets, we're moving a bit fast there. How about for starters, we divulge assets currently in play, so one itchy trigger finger doesn't cause unnecessary losses on either side, hm?"

Rylla, glances at the droid. It could probably handle guarding the entrance while she did some info gathering. "I can tell a man on a mission when I see one." Her voice is relaxed and her approach is angled to be non-threatening. "I'm manhunting as well. Care to share, make both our lives easier?" Persuasion: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (10) + 10 = 20

To all my games, I am going to be leaving tomorrow for a humanitarian trip to help those in need. I will only have access to my smartphone at the time, so I will not be able to post during this time. I estimate my return to the boards in the first week of January. If I'm a player and you find this absence unfavorable, I understand if you remove me from the game. If I'm the GM, and you'd rather leave the game if it stalls for this long, I understand your withdrawal. In either case, message me and we'll get things sorted out. But I do wish everyone Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays!

Apologies, pulled an all-nighter getting two essays ready. And finals stuff. Whoosh.
"They're asking for a Cade." Rylla informs her current partner. If we don't know a Cade, I'll reply as such. If we do, then I'll ask for their reasoning.

Rylla gives a curious look to her current partner, her eyes rolling over the girl and her droid. She also checks the credit chit so she can add it to her mental inventory. She seems very soldier-ish, but I wonder if a casual approach would be more effective. "Phedra," she says simply, looking at her new companion. "My specialty lies in heavy weaponry, dealing with the populace, and general information gathering. I have training in computers and general mechanics." "The reason I'm telling you this is that I want you to know my general skillset as I'd rather be alive than keep secrets. Having a brief assessment of my abilities will let you know what to expect and what not to."

One of Rylla's personal tenents was to be ready at any time. It was rare to find her unarmed and having been called to receive a mission she had most everything she needed to leave. But she was a pragmatist. "I wouldn't be opposed to additional supplies, a bit of creds go a long way for information tracking. However, I can work with what we have if haste needs to be made."

Phedra's display of cool logic and composure impressed Rylla, though she'd never let it show physically. She moves forward with her fellow summoned, perhaps a bit more confident in the other's abilities. As the screams ring off the walls, Rylla readies herslef to reach for her blaster. It was probably unnecessary, but profesionalism was her strong point.

Rylla keeps a straight face on. No sense dying on the first day of a new assignment. As annoying as it was, soldier training did have its benefits. She opens her vest to show a perfectly concealed ion blaster, then the other side to show a heavy blaster, then she pulls her stun baton from one boot, before sliding it back in, and perhaps the most miraculous, she does a quick flourish of her heavy jacket (similar to a duster) she wears over her flight suit. Perhaps it was a trick of the light but one moment she was making a flourishing gesture, and the next she was leaning against a Heavy Repeating Blaster Rifle, almost as tall as she is. "I only bother with little when I have to. For the most part, this guy takes care of most of the work."

Knowledge Galactic Lore: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (13) + 3 = 16 Rylla eyes Phedra with equal interest. But if the small one could make it here, it must've proven itself somehow. Rylla is also careful to keep a professional demeanor. The right attitude for the right people, she always told her crew. The same folks you back in a bar fight are will not be impressed with your regimented drills.
Okee-doke. Rylla Cyn is *tentatively* done. The character sheet is updated with immense help from Cardis Rin, and there's a somewhat generic backstory for her. One last adjustment thing. Would sacrificing my quick draw feats for more utility be a decent decision? Perhaps Lightning draw for more skills or something like knowledge (tech) or something. Also, is the current party lacking in skills anywhere?
I'm currently feeling more of the heavy-weapons toting smuggler currently. The heavy weapons detail is so I can be effective in combat with all the leaping lightsaber folks. I do have a question pertaining to another way I can take the character. I was curious about a vehicle-focused character, most likely switching four of one class to pilot. Not sure how much of the adventure takes place on a vehicle. Another concept I was playing with is a tech-head, mainly focused on splicing and mechanics, primarily making modifications and repairs to vehicles, equipment, and weapons. I know I'd have to sacrifice some current strengths to add these, but if these are active elements, I might not mind. It'd give me my specialty nook as well.
The main concept is soldier/ smuggler, a skilled professional that can also lay down heavy fire in combat. I was considering the 'juggurnaut' mindset, but heavy armor is too expensive and I settled on my current light armor. I'm going for a Jack-of-All-Trades kind of build, skills are handy, and the gatling laser is there to give the group covering fire. |
