Ren, frustrated gives up waiting for them to come to her and tries to stay hidden as she moves up to get nearer the creatures so she can help her companions.

But she stumbles as she tries to move quietly. In frustration she throws her magic dagger from on the platform down at the one attacking Varsk.

Does anyone know how this starts glowing again? In stories some things refresh every morning, maybe the pool is like that. So it may not help to make it not glow.

Cool. That returning feature will make surprise rounds sneak attacks SO much easier. Even without quick draw.

She reluctantly lets him go and wipes her eyes before letting herself be led back into the room.

When she sees the thing laying dead, she shutters, but reluctly starts searching the room avioding the creature until last as she builds up her courage.

Lackspell finds Ren huddled in a dark corner of the room, tears silently running down her face.
When she sees Lackspell she launches herself at him and hugs him around his chest.
What... what are we doing in this horrible place? This town seems filled with things that should not be! she softly whimpers to him.

I didn't take that option because I was more concerned with hitting then doing the extra 2 damage. If I can apply this after rolling the 19, sure, but my original intent was to just hit and disrupt the spell first.

Ren looks oddly at her bow as the spell is cast on it. Not seeing anything immediaetlydifferent she shrugs and fires at the flying thing. As the arrow leaves the bow she actually squees in excitement as she feels the extra power course through the bow.

Damage + Holy: 1d6 + 1d6 ⇒ (5) + (5) = 10

Nice! That hopefully disrupts the spell.

That creature is a spell caster!!! No place to hide so I guess...

Then she aims and fires at the flying creature.

Ok, I was worried the walls were changing on us.

When there is light Ren heads Down the first left passage that has not been explored yet staying in the shadows as much as possible.

Ok, I'm confused. There was only one exit from the pool room and it led to the blocked stairs.So we went back to the statue room that has three passages and a door out of it. The left path leads back to the store room, or did we go through the path behind the statue? Because there were not side passages here in this hall between the statue and store room before.

Your story sounds like a lot of people's... 4th was fine if you looked at it as a minitures wargame, and not another version of D&D. But it was a shock to the system if you were expecting D&D.

Just FYI: 5th is interesting. Much more loose, it actually feels s lot like a cross between 1st and 3rd. I enjoy that much more then I did 4th.

I play pathfinder when I want heavy crunch and 5th when I want a better story game.

It depends on how much editing you want to do of the encounters. 7 characters will probably make the encounters as written very easy.

That said I'm good with it however you decide to proceed.

No but the RSS feeds still work, so I've been able to check for updates that way.

Bad thingss! Not goblins! Ren exclaims as she draws a shortsword and dagger while moveing down the passage to the other side of the branching hallway. (Giving Arkon and Orz the room to move up and hopefully set up a flank)

Then she waits to attack with her shortsword until she has someone to flank with.

Then she slips over near Lackspell and peeks around him down around the corner.
