Hi everyone, In about two months, my wife will be giving birth to a baby boy. I've decided that I ought to free up some time to help more at home once that happens. While that doesn't mean giving up PbP altogether (I hope), it does mean reducing the number of games to something more manageable. And this will be one of those games I regrettably will be giving up at that time. It's been fun gaming with you all. Maybe Rose dedicates herself to Mitra again and you have to kill her? Maybe she was working for the Baron all along? Whatever it may be, thanks for having me along as a part of your adventures. Cheers,

Rose seems content to let the vampires do the dirty work. "Have fun. Don't let the Mitran die. She may provide the necessary sacrifice." Rose casts Magic Vestment and Greater Magic Weapon on Sariana at some point before the fight (lasts 7 hours). She'll otherwise attend to the usual work of catching more wild animals.

I think Molasbar and Albrekt been managing gold/items previously. Based on the assumption that I have about 6,500 GP to spend, and already spent 2,000 GP on a Headband of Charisma, here's my wishlist. Belt of Dexterity +2 (2,000 GP)Blood Reservoir of Physical Prowess (1,000 GP) Pearl of Power (1st) (500 GP)

Hey, thanks GM Fang! Rose will retrain to take the Leadership feat, and will use the 2k in available gold to have a Headband of Charisma +2 crafted, which it appears can happen on Day 5. Can Haruk account for that expenditure? I believe this means Rose can (1) contribute 3 stat points to the evil organization and (2) take an evil organization action. The most obvious action to take in my mind is to Hunt Beasts to add to Xanos's collection. Someone tell me if there's something else that should be happening. I guess this also means I need to have a cohort? Since I have in mind creating a corrupt sisterhood, I'd like a cohort that makes sense for someone who came from the Abbey of Saint Cynthia-Celeste. Anyone know if they are more cleric-like or monk-like?

Yes, I'd like to either just swap my 7th level feat or, if necessary, spend a week retraining (aka recruiting my first minions). I see now that this part of the book was designed for the Leadership feat. And I guess I need a Headband of Charisma +2 to actually take actions.

So if I understand the rules right, our evil organization starts off with stat points equal to our collective positive charisma modifiers, which is 12:
They can be distributed amongst the following stats:
We also get to pool our actions. I've used the table to translate our stats (Cha + level) into actions, total is 38. That seems really high, am I misunderstanding something?

Having been standing so close, Rose recoils back as the Horn is bathed in green fire. "Wow, I guess that worked . . . " is all she can manage. They had awoken great power, and therefore great trouble. And seven months was a long time to need to continue this ritual. * * * Rose makes sure to teach Molasbar how to continue the rituals unbroken if she is preoccupied or perishes. And now arranges to make sure she is at the altar before dawn, dusk, and midnight to continue the ritual. "We need to find a true believer of Mitra for the next sacrifice. The one that will come 111 days from now."

"Bring her." At her command, the boggards brought forth the sacrifice, a sister of the Abbey of St. Cynthia-Celeste in Farholde, her form casting long shadows in the midnight-dark sanctum lit only by candles. The wretched woman wearing only rags had her eyes closed and was clearly mumbling prayers. The boggards drag her to the altar where she is bound. "Oh sister, do you still insist on praying to Mitra? Do you refuse my please for you to give yourself to the Whore Queen? Haven't you learned by now that Mitra does not care about you? Your shining light cares only to have little bobbing worshippers with no ambition, no desires, only guilt, shame, and obedience. Your pleas for help fall on deaf ears. I would know--I once prayed the same pitiful little prayers you still utter." Rose sharpened the long smooth dagger in her hand one last time. "Well, if you won't give your life to Eiseth, then it'll have to be Vetra Kali." Rose sprinkled unholy water as she walked in a circle around the altar, and began to recite the words of the Supplication to Darkness. She enters the final strains as the hour of midnight approaches. . . . the Sons of the Pale Horsemen failed you in their darkest hour. Now, in the darkest hour of night, let their blood begin the path to restoration. Vetra-Kali, Vetra-Kali, Vetra-Kali!" Rose plunges the dagger into the heart of her victim. A chill gust blows through the room and the candles are extinguished, leaving the sanctum in total darkness. There, the die is cast. I figure I'd take the liberty of writing out the whole ritual, so obviously if some other plot events are supposed to happen, please go ahead and add them!

"Xanos, your last question is nice, but as my . . . cooperative . . . undead friend Albrekt says, are we really going to not re-animate him if he refuses? I think Haruk has the right idea. We can ask how Markadian overcame the Horn's defenses. It might give us insight into shoring up our own. And then we can ensure that any attack will only feed our strength further! Come, let us go to this body." Rose casts Speak with Dead on the Master of Acolytes. "Who wrote the book with the ritual to resummon Vetra Kali?" "Where would any survivors of the Sons of the Pale Horseman cult have gone after the attack on the Horn?" "What weakness did Markadian exploit to pierce the Horn's defenses?" If someone doesn't like that last question, you can stop me and I'll ask a different one.

While those with magical talents work on crafting magical items and fortifying the defenses, and Albrekt identifies the best talent from the orphanage, Rose works on persuading the Baron that the success of the Cardinal's Knots portend a new and glorious day in Talingarde, and that there would never be a better time to lend his support than right now.

Could we fast forward through some of the ritual stuff? I don't have a specific evil plan. But I think we are going to find a blood relative for purpose of sacrifice. I believe we can awaken a golem. I know people also have crafting plans? @GM Fanguar--do you have any guidance on other issues we should be considering?

As the others, including the vampires, have their attention drawn to the shrine, Rose heads to the elemental with a vial and starts collecting the blood. "Damn vampires just want to drink up the power source for our golem," she mumbles. Once she's collected a good amount, she hands it off to Molasbar. "Speaking of shoring up our defenses, I believe your talents are well suited to awakening a magical servant."
