![]() "This seems to be quite an innovative means of government. If I am reading it correctly, your Blood Lords serve as the ruling class, making decisions and providing for the governance of the land. The Quick and Dead are similar to our landed gentry, with rights and responsibilities towards those who answer to them." Ronald pauses significantly after this, before continuing, "We don't have an analog of your 'Thralls'. We believe every person is entitled to their own life, serving the good of the land only after they have expired. As you might tell, we don't relish the idea of living slaves or Thralls or what have you." ![]()

![]() My focus: get the people to love us and have as many offspring as possible. Fteeing up the 'rabble' generally leads to a decrease in population growth (per Malthus) but with some social engineering and creative fertility drugs/magic/rituals we can get new generations going post haste. ![]()

![]() Prep spells: fly on Grey, then solid fog for foreground setting. Invisibility on Grey to allow for nice entrance. Lights, sparkles, fireworks from major image, with serious sound & thermal effects which fade over 3 rounds. Leading to a framed background silent image (think Colbert Report with moving flag background). ![]()

![]() Talk to Melianse, get her input. If she is unable/unwilling to take "command" of the remaining fey: use disguise to appear as the lady, combine with serious illusions and scare/bluff/ambush the rest of the critters. Alternatively: big as display of power with dead fey chick on display tell remaining critters to yield, flee, or die. ![]()

![]() "I have an invisibility sphere prepared, that will cover those of us not hiding. A major image can give some context to our bait, then we blast the fey with an anchor spell, any tangle bags or other debuffing stuff, then dogpile on her. As far as defensive magic, I have little prepared, perhaps someone has a protection or circle spell prepared? " ![]()

![]() "Sylvan is no obstacle, Lady. I am fluent in that tongue as much as our current Taldane. So, the Dancing Lady has some kind of charm magic? Or gender and/or lust based powers? Will the others be likely to flee if she is destroyed? Or will they cling and fight to the last?" ![]()

Tyressia also gave us these, freely and without request. She said they might help you." Ronald holds out the fetishes/fingers the dryad gave the party. To the group: "See? Not everyone out here seeks to be our enemy. If we treat them with respect and honor, we might just receive alike in return. " ![]()

We bring word from a mutual acquaintance; a dryad named Tyressia whom we helped with a personal matter. I must offer condolences, her lover Falchos met with a sad end at the hands of a twisted plant monster. We brought that thing low and assisted Tyressia in her grief." ![]()

![]() Do we have any aerial scouts? Flying familiars or the like? If not, Ronald may be able to sneak up under invisibility and take a look. If using Plan Invisible Ronald: Spoiler:
Cast invisibility, sneak 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (20) + 12 = 32 (+20 if unable to see invisible things) up and see what I can see 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (14) + 4 = 18 perception 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (11) + 2 = 13 initiative ![]()

![]() "I assume this thing was the monstrous tree the dryad was complaining about. It stands to reason her missing lover is nearby, assuming he still lives. Do we have any creatures with us capable of scent-tracking?" Dusting off his hands, Ronald surveys the remains of the murder-tree with satisfaction. "Nature has its place. It is too bad this particular part of nature chose to exceed its standing." ![]()
