Romli's eyes light up when Prax finally mentions the house.

"Right, the house! I doubt Zellara would have anything against us using it as a shelter for the kids. And if she - or whoever that was with us in there - is not there anymore, maybe Amandine can talk to her spirit? I don't know how this works, exactly..."

He trails off for a few seconds, then snaps out of it.

"There's even some of the bread left! I bet the kids are hungry. And after all of this, I could definitely do with a glass... no, a bottle of wine!"

"Whatever we are going to do, we have to get the kids to safety first. Afterwards, we can check out what the townsfolk is upset about. Maybe we will learn it on our way there, anyway."

Happy Holidays, everyone!

@GM KoolKobold: Romli multiclassed into cleric - right now, as we are in the middle of leaving the ship. So I assume that he must pray to his goddess for 1 hour before he gets any of his spells, right? What about his other cleric class features, e.g. domain powers or Blessing of the Faithful?
(I am completely fine with no cleric class features being available right now. I'd just like to have clarity.)

"Amandine, we can look through it later. Let's go."

Divo rolled Knowledge (nobility) earlier, but it seems he copied a Perception check and forgot to change the text in the dice expression. Anyway, he beat the DC.

Gonna start with something, so why not get the most disgusting thing out of the way first...

Romli follows the rancid smell. He grabs the hatbox, puts it on the ground and opens it. When he realizes whose dead head he is looking at he shouts out:
"Wha... ZELLARA?! How is that possible?"

Heal: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (4) + 3 = 7 He has no idea.

The dwarf looks at Amandine, hoping she has an answer to this madness.

Romli dresses himself again, grabs his backpack, stows his weapons and takes his sansetsukon with both hands. He starts to follow Amadine into the room, while calling out to her: "Is everything alright in there?" Then the monk scrutinizes everything in the room - looking for anything that might either be a threat or valueable.

Shouldn't the keyring hold several brass keys?

As Praxedis' player works for the Oregon Department of Human Services they might still have their hands full with SNAP. And they might have seen that we had combat very much under control, so it wasn't necessary to step in...

The player's last post was 5 days ago, so it's not like they disappeared completely from the boards.
I'd say let's give them a few days to clarify if they want - and are able to - continue or not.

If they cannot, we need another skill focused character with the ability to disarm traps and open locks, e.g. uRogue or Investigator.
From the submissions, only Veniir's Leo Wulff (elf investigator [empiricist archetype]) would fit the bill, as far as I can see.

The monk starts searching the body for Zellara’s deck of cards, any other incriminating evidence, and everything of value. He puts everything in his backpack.

"I see no reason to leave anything here that could be sold for some gold. At least we get a little compensation for what he has done to us."

Don't worry, there's nothing to forgive. Being a DM in this format has its own challenges. There are a lot of moving parts, but combat is slow... and one can only try to keep everything relevant in mind.

Everyone makes mistakes! E.g. in my latest post in gameplay I forgot to actually include the -2 penalty for fighting defensively in the attack roll. (Fortunately, it did not matter.)

Here's a proposal to save everyone at this table time and energy:

2) We will point out anything that we believe is a mistake.

Uh... sorry to be that guy again, but Romli has currently AC 20 T 19 FF 14 (because he is fighting defensively) as I wrote in his last post in Gameplay HERE. That should mean that Gobblegut's bite has missed him.

I did not adjust the status in his profile as his AC will go up and down from round to round, depending on which spells/feats/class features are active in that round (even more in the near future after he has learned to swift action enlarge himself multiple times for just 1 round).

However, if you want me to, I can do it from now on. Please let me know.

I thought to use a wand one must make a UMD check with a DC of 20? (Link to the UMD skill, see table)

Also, there are actual rules for handling a miss with a thrown splash weapon. The game designers really thought of (nearly) everything! ;-)

Right after Divo arrives on the other side, Romli nimbly walks across the bridge, not hindered by any armor or shield.

If I understand the map and the descriptions correctly, we started on slide 1, went into the building, up the stairs and moved over on the ship. There, we went down to the hull. Now, on slide 2, we are going back to a lower part of the building via another wooden bridge that is creaking but stable if only one at a time uses it.
I placed Divo's and Romli's tokens accordingly.

@GM: It looks like that was the critical damage roll, not the crit confirmation roll.

@Divo: In Pathfinder 1e a natural 20 is a guaranteed hit, but it isn't automatically a critical hit. You need to make another attack roll (with all the same modifiers) and hit the target's AC with it to confirm you critical threat.

I believe the main party role of Romli as a uMonk is melee damage dealer.
But thanks to his crane style feat - and with a little help from a friendly arcane caster with access to (a wand of) mage armor - he can also act as a tank.

In addition, his planned cleric dip at level 2 not only ensures that he has more and better melee options (thanks to the Growth subdomain he can grow large all by himself to enjoy reach, AoOs and bigger damage dice), he becomes a backup healer, too - and he also gains a few support abilities.
Have a look at the Ecclesitheurge's Blessing of the Faithful (in Romli's case it provides a profane bonus ^_^) and the ability of the Memory subdomain. Both can be very helpful in- and outside of combat.
Oh, and he will be able to prepare guidance, too. ;-)
