Right, I dropped the perception already when I first made him, that point was put in Disable Device. :D 1 skill point, +2 Dex, +3 because it's a class skill is a +6 total. Then I just put a point in Sleight of Hand on Baltzar so that transfers to him now(which I now realize actually was a mistake I upped them both at character creation when I should have only done it with Disable Device but he didn't use SoH yet, so it's fixed now.) :)

Haven't yet updated Romello, as I am assuming that you do NOT allow for familiars to get their own skill points beyond the normal for a 1 HD creature, but can change him if necessary.

Just a note, familiars have their own class skills and only share your RANKS (if their own isn't better, like for example Romello here has a rank in Disable Device, hence he gets 1 + 3 class + 2 Dex and if I put 20 ranks in Sleight of Hand on Baltzar then she rolls 20+HerDex whereas Romello would roll 20+3class+HisDex+6SkillFocus+10pilfererbonus

Oh I just noticed that I forgot to account in his stat block that I traded out the usual feat a monkey gets (Weapon Finesse) for Skill Focus: Sleight of Hand. I figure that feat is more appropriate since he won't be attacking anyone (not even delivering touch spells, as he's a pilferer, he steals instead) it's a semi-worthless feat and being a pilferer skill focus on stealing is better for him. If this feat trade is not okay, let me know and I'll remove the Skill Focus bonus. Also, the 1 skill point a monkey gets is in Disable Device (hence his Perception being lower than the standard monkey)

Well, yeah since no developers chimed in, the thread had no official answers on any of it, but it seemed the general consensus seemed to be that the important part was the time taken ritually burning the scroll and the familiar eating it was just fluff. In a game I ran the familiars being able to 'talk' to each other is what I did, basically just like how is a cat gonna talk to a monkey about the spells? They can't, but they obviously do. But of course, that's just my opinion.

Here is a thread about witch doctors where players discuss their bonus spells and such things (some rather funny too on the spell learning, which is the main reason I'm posting it). Also the last post mentions how in the Monster Codex there is an NPC where Paizo used Con to determine his bonus spells, which is something the RAW does not say and Paizo has made no official statement (JJ gave his opinion, but remember he's the Creative Director, not a Rules Developer) yet one might say that Paizo actually publishing an NPC using Con legitimizes using Con. Ah, gotta love those pressing rules questions Paizo just ignores cause they think it's obvious what the RAW says.
