I did try Starfinder with my tabletop game, but we didn't really enjoy it the way we were hoping. So, I have set those book on a shelve in my bookcase and they are now part of my collection. I guess the main thing was that it wasn't enough Sci-fi to really separate it from Pathfinder.
Ok, background added. Still not sure if I want him to be Lawful evil or Neutral evil, but aside from that, I think that I'm done.

Roldy had everything he ever wanted. His family had ties with House Leroung which gave him entrance to the University of Egorian where he learned the secrets of alchemy. He was promised an excellent prospect for a future union that would secure a better standing for his family. And finally, thanks to his parent wise investments, money would never be a problem.
But there was one problem that his parents and Roldy tried to make sure never surfaced. Roldy wasn't human. He was a Grimspawn. A tiefling born with the tainted blood of a Daemon. While on the outside, the only visible sign was his light gray eyes, on the inside, Roldy had dark black blood coercing through his veins. The blood was also thick has oil. For years, lies and schemes were used to hide the fact. Allowing Roldy to rise in standing at the university. But all came to an end on the day of the accident.
On that Day, a young student was executing an experiment way beyond his understanding. As one would have expected, a mistake was made and the energy overload destroyed multiple rooms at the university. The student, among other people were killed in the explosion, but for Roldy, a fate worst than death happen. Not only was he injured, but the incident happened while he was with important people from House Leroung. The reaction was immediate. Roldy was kicked out of the university. His parent disowned by the rest of the Heson family.
Now on his own, Roldy does jobs here and there, gathering what knowledge he can to increase his power. He dreams of the day when he will be back in the high echelons of society and bring back honour to his family name. To that end, he always keep and ear out for opportunity that would attract a powerful house to accept him in their rank. One thing he did learn during his time at the bottom, the world is without mercy, and so would he.
I would like to submit my alchemist trap breaker. Background should be up soon and make some minor changes here and there, but the main lines are there.
Maybe I should do something else to get my mind off of this. That's the part I hate about PBP. For some reason I get anxious and have second doubts about my submission every time I apply to one...
I've picked the campaign trait and the reason for protest. I also read a bit about the town from the player's guide.
For residence, I'm thinking he could live either at The Cloven Hoof Society or the Devil’s Nursery. Not sure which, I'm open to suggestions.
For work, I'm thinking the could be at the Vespam Artisans as an apprentice there. There is also the Salt Market where he could try to sell some ware.

Didn't have the time to finish an application in time for the first recruitment. So here is my character for consideration.
He's an Alchemist Trap Breaker. I notice that you didn't have any trapfinder in the group, so this character can cover the arcane support and trap finding all in one.
He's not done yet, but I will complete everything before the deadline.

Well, I've looked at his main profile, his GM profile and some of his alias and he didn't post on any of them since he left. So from that, we can assume two things. He's either taking a break from the online community or his work contract got extended/renewed. He could have also been offered another contract somewhere else altogether, but that pretty much the same thing as the renew from the one that made him leave. We can only hope that he will come back AND pick this game back up, but like Welkin said, it's starting to look unlikely.
I've kept an eye out for another game like this, but didn't see anything. I know that when Starfinder comes out, I will most likely try to GM the adventure path, so hopefully that will scratch the itch I have for sci-fi game.

Once the clean up is done, Roldy parks his mobile suit and gets out. Walking over to where the SGM is, he tries to keep his yesy on roof top and dark corner of where a sniper could be hiding. Once near her, he stop and patiently waits for her to be done with the soldiers around her and motion to her that he wants a word.
"What's the... final count... on prisonner?"
He can see the disconfort in her eyes while he talks to her. He knows that any direct interaction with people would make them react that to him, he tries to make it at short has posssible.
"Where keeping... How many... guards? Interrogation?"
Hoping that his questions were clear enough to get the answer he wanted, Roldy look past her as he is waiting for his answer. This way he can avoid looking in her eyes and seeing that look that people give him, something between disgust and pity.

Roldy moves up to Edel and start sweaping the area. Trying to think like the enemy, he carefully look at every single place he would place bombs, traps or ambush if he was in their place.
Not sure if they are desperate or crafty... maybe a mix of both.
The Zaku wasn't really ment to walk in narrow alleyways between small houses, so Roldy tries to minimize the collateral damage without compromising Edel's and his safety.

Seeing his squad mate enter the village, roldy start moving foward.
I don't even see any clear military targets. Is there only infantry to fight here?
Moving up, he tries to get in position to cover the tanks. Hearing Kraken-03 proposal, he waits to see if they would comply before taking any agressive action.

The drop off everything Roldy remembered. The turbulence, the slight disorientation and the adrenaline rush, all hitting him at the same time. For a moment, he was elsewhere. In an other MS at an other time, a flashback from his earlier mission.

Refocusing, he set back his mind to the task at end. This new squad expected him to perform and he wasn't going to let them down.
Once he touch down, he looked around seeing everyone getting in position. He decided to run a scan of the surrounding before moving, just to make that there wasn't any ennemies waiting to shoot down the rest of the troops.

That would make sense. The level of resistance and our own accuracy while fighting would give us at least a way to judge how far and fast we want to move out. Nothing worst then fighting with a empty clip in your gun!

My 120mm rifle has 20 shots. Do we have extra magazine or is that it until we resupply?
There is 246km between Naranbulag (drop point) and Songino (2nd city) At what speed is our supply chain moving? I'm asking because I wouldn't want us to move to fast and be stranded. Or the opposite, plan a destination that we can't reach in 10hrs of running time.

That was more of a long term goal then short terme. For now I'm pretty happy with standard issue stuff. But as the game progress, I would like to explore the possible mods we can hope for. I know sniper and melee combatant as already been claimed for. So I'm looking to see what other position we could try to specialize for. Support and recon could be one.
Also, character development side, I could see Roldy investing in skill that would allow him to mod and repair mobile suit. If we ever get stranded out there, that could be very usefull.
I hope this make sense. I kinda have a headache and my though process is all over the place.

I've been wondering. How do we go about intel gathering on our target. It's not like the mobile suit are really sneaky. Do we have access to satellite imagery or scout drone?
I'm asking cause since modding our Zaku is a possibility for later, I was thinking about the possibilities of having remote scout drone link with my Zaku so that we don't go in mountains terrain without an eye in the sky. It would be good also for picking our targets while attacking cities and military installation.
Of course, if we have better stuff already in place then we'll use that and I'll think of something else to mod my Zaku with. =)

Once the room is all clean, Roldy head to the mess hall to get some food on the go. He then head to the hangar and eat in his mobile suit while calibrating all that he can without moving the suit. After he his done eating, he does a visual inspection and finaly re-enter into the cockpit to initialize it.

Finally, after a very long day, Roldy manage to get to the barracks. Once there, instead of dropping in bed for a good night rest, he pull out a case out of his luggage. He then setup a small table with two chair facing each other. On the table he spread a table cloth. Then he take out a flask and two small glass which fills and place on either side of the table. Finally he pull out some oil, a weapon cleaning kit and a severely damaged/non-functional handgun which he place across from himself. Sitting down, he then start disassembling his weapon to clean, and to everyone who can hear, he start humming... or rather something that could be humming.

Seeing Yashida try to do more then her share and collapse, Roldy fist take a step foward toward the ensign. But then he stop and take a back, tries to get to attention but could only get somewhat straight. Trying to speak, he only manage to get a few noise between coughing. Went he noticed that Faustus got to her feet faster then he and manage to actually speak something, he points in hed direction trying to make understand that he wanted to day something similar.

Doing the best he could, Roldy couldn't keep up with the push up. At the end, he managed to not slip in the disgusting puddle. By now, his breathing is really bad, he's whizzing and coughing. Sweat is dripping from his mask.

After what seem an eternity of filing paperwork and chasing down clerks, Roldy finaly gets all of the clerical stuffdone.
Ok, registration done, living quarters assign, mess hall pass in my pocket and authorisation access to the ammo dump. Well can't push it anymore. Time to go see the doctors.
Finding the field hospital, Roldy gets in line and wait his turn.
Once in the examination room, the nurse ask him to undress. Giving him a look has to ask if he is sure, Roldy just shrugged and start to undress after receiving confirmation. Not entirely sure about a call sign yet. Kraken-5 would do fine for my character for now. Beside, I always though call signs were like nicknames in the sense that it's the people around you that choose it.
And who are those "most people" that don't like your name? I feel like I might have miss something here in the translation... (English isn't my first language)

Roldy follow the rest of the squad and dock his Zaku in the designated spot. Slowly walking to the rest of the group, he gets there just in time to hear Reddok mentionning about medical... and a long day.
