Hmmm. I'd say Overflow Archives, but I'm not sure I could keep my player knowledge out of it so soon after running it. I'm up for whatever, since I haven't actually run a non-repeatable scenario out of CORE mode.

Alchemists are really good. I think they're the second most balanced class in the game, behind inquisitors. Powerful, flexible, but not overwhelming.

As silence falls across the battlefield, Rohini sucks in air and pants heavily before clearing her throat. "Well, that's that. Now, if one of you would be so kind..." She holds out her bag expectantly, hoping someone will take its overbearing weight. "Only for a few minutes, you understand. I'm afraid that tincture I drank has a rather negative effect on my muscle structure. It does, of course, allow me great insights into chemistry and other subjects, but everything comes with a trade-off, and, well..." She raises an arm with some effort, pointing to the unusually flaccid muscles.

As the Pathfinders head outside, she looks to the others. "There's little advantage to be gained from my scouting in this environ. Without the advantages my stronger night vision provides me, I'm less than average at the role. I will, of course, continue doing my utmost if you choose to have me continue."

Rohini lumbers forward, fingers plucking another of her explosive concoctions from her belt and giving it a toss. As it flies, she plugs her ears in anticipation. Her bomb flies as true as a bent arrow with a lead weight instead of a head and two feathers.

Rohini reaches for a little beaker, pops the stopper, and drinks up, coughing as the bitterness fills her mount. An instant later, pain creeps into her muscles and she lets out a gasp, only to become more aware of the flow of battle, the needed trajectories of her bombs, and a simple addition that would make her bombs that much more potent. As she struggles with the sudden weight of her bag, she looks on the battle with new eyes.

Drinking Cognatogen. +4Int, +2 Natural Armor, -2 Strength for the next ten minutes.

Rohini peers out from her new favorite hiding place at the mouth of the cave, taking stock of her tall, burly-looking enemies. After a moment she turns around, whispering. "M-mites. Th-they like v-vermin, like that giant centipede, and th-they sometimes w-wave their hands around. Th-the centipede e-eats everything. Y-you should k-kill it first so it d-doesn't eat me." At the thought of being eaten by a centipede, Rohini falls silent.

Rohini looks at Nixie. "You're s-sure? The city?" She nods uncertainly, then does as the bossy undine asks, hoisting her notes high above her head. "L-like this?"

Rohini begins writing, a confused, stream-of-consciousness pile of notes on her adventures in a pile of languages from Tian-Xia. Only rarely does it shift into common, and when it does, her letters are blocky and crude. After a while, she fills a page, ending with a flourishing stroke of Aklo. "D-done..."

"I-it's really q-quite simple. It's equal p-parts alchemist's fire and f-fermented s-snake eggs in one s-side, and m-mashed r-radish leaves, r-rat saliva, and a-a-alkali in the other one, in a three/two/nine mix, of course. Th-there's a little b-b-barrier in the middle th-that keeps the whole p-package inert, but w-when it mixes, the c-combination r-results in a r-r-rapidly expanding f-fireball. I'm t-trying some other c-combinations, and h-hope to y-yield p-positive results soon."

Rohini looks at the corpse. "Maybe we sh-should tell the g-g-gillman about th-this man now. C-could help him, s-somehow."

Rohini drops a hand to her belt, grabbing a tiny glass flask no bigger than her finger, with a little barrier in the middle of two liquids; one red and one a brilliant green. She tosses it toward the yellow skeleton, where it erupts into an explosion much, much larger than its size should have allowed. The fiery explosion is enough, in fact, to singe the blue skeleton as well.

Her bomb deployed, she scurried behind Nimerah again, making room for the heavier hitters to do their thing.

Rohini begins looking around in her backpack, eventually giving up when it becomes clear that, like any responsible Pathfinder, she doesn't have anything to make a record of what they've found. "D-does anyone h-have any p-paper?"

That's actually part of why I want to rebuild/switch out Rohini after this one. She's...shy, and if we're going to run anything else together, I think I'd be happier with someone more bombastic.

My Fort is +2, but I don't intend to be a front-liner, so it's not necessary that I have it.

Rohini makes her way down the cavern, peering at everything from behind the bigger people all around her. as she goes, she fiddles with her alchemical supplies, trying to decide which concoction would be best. Suddenly, an idea strikes her. "I can be pretty quiet, and I see well. I could go ahead and take a look, just to blunt any surprises. Maybe."

If the party agrees, Rohini slips down the tunnel ahead of the others by perhaps thirty or forty feet, trying to keep an eye on her surroundings but focusing on moving quietly and staying alongside her best friends, the shadows.

I think in the case of a not-combat, you let the players decide if combat is in everyone's mind. If it is, we'll start rolling our initiatives.

As for me, I'd personally like to avoid it, simply because if that's a full-blown minotaur, it'd be taxing our resources to kill it, much less without any PC deaths. Up to you all, though. Maybe we have the burst to take it down?

Rohini finds a nice bit of shadow behind Leela, peeking out from behind the big woman's leg. "D-do you th-think we should h-help her? aa" She looks at the huge, hulking minotaur, terror in her eyes, and begins fiddling with her alchemical supplies.

If we decide to help, I'll drink my cognatogen before we jump in.

Rohini lets loose a startled "Eep!" that's easily the loudest sound she makes and starts thinking quickly. Hiding behind something doesn't seem like a good option; her fellow Pathfinders might move and there's no tree with the right angles. A bomb would be effective, but the creatures-what are they, anyways? She turns her mind toward her foes. "They look like giant fleas. Probably they'll drink blood and everything!" That settled, she grabs her crossbow and levels it at the closest one.

As the bolt flies, it whistles through the air toward the (red) giant flea, slamming into it near its...neck? Rohini thinks it might be somewhere vital, but isn't sure.

Rohini looks up as Nimerah does her double-take. "I-I don't think I've ever h-heard of either c-cold iron or s-silver being b-better...against pigs? W-why in the d-dissolution's name w-would you n-need to, w-what, b-battle a pig?" The moment her question leaves her lips, Rohini metaphorically smacks her forehead, followed up by literally doing so. Wonderful. More talking...

Having little to say and never having so much as seen a gillman before, Rohini listens to the conversation while digging through her bags, making sure her potions and explosive capsules are all within easy reach. It's not until Janira mentions the rivers and ponds that Rohini perks up. "D-do you mean r-rivers and ponds that c-connect to th-the underground? W-why would the gillmen b-bother getting out of the w-water if they had a s-safe path to the c-caves?"

Rohini thinks hard, but can't think of anything to say. "I-I don't th-think it's b-be t-too dangerous. H-how could they send us on s-something too dangerous? Right?" She looks from Nixie to Leela to Janira, nerves and a glimmer of hope drifting across her face. "Right?"

I have the wrong knowledge skills for the job, and I don't really have any briefing questions. Maybe follow-ups to what others have to say.

Rohini starts, unused to being addressed so directly. So many questions! She thinks for a moment, staring at the menu with rapt fascination and determinedly not making eye contact. "From? Um, t-two years in this c-city. D-does that c-count?" When she sees it won't, she frowns at Nixie and continues speaking into her menu. "V-Vudra. N-near Radripal. I r-ran away to come h-here."
