Rodric is quite tall, and though not particularly handsome his sharp features and bright green eyes match his fiery enthusiasm for life. Sandy brown hair sweeps away from his face to land at the base of his neck, and his lightly tanned skin gives little indication of his heritage. Thin for his stature, the cavalier’s frame carries the tight musculature of a practiced warrior. Rodric is both prideful and naïve, typically believing in the good in people, but often slow to admit to his own mistakes.
A poor farm boy by birth, Rodric worked with his father on their farm diligently, but he often spent more time with his horse than his own family. In the evening after their hard work was finished, Rodric’s father would tell tales of the chivalrous and gallant Taldan knights of their ancestral culture. Of course, these stories stirred Rodric’s heart and he believed he was destined for more. Eventually the young boy took to using his family's farm and workhorse to play at being one of those glorious Knights. He taught himself how to ride in every position imaginable, and practiced with wooden weapons and eventually his father's rusty longsword. Even as he grew older he knew that growing cabbages wasn't all that he was meant for. The rescuing of princesses seemed all too enjoyable to pass up!
He joined the local militia and made a name for himself there. His skill with horses was noticed and he spent the first few years tending the stables. He eventually advanced in his training, and acquired arms and armor that he never would have been able to afford back on the farm.
After saving up enough gold to buy his own horse, which he named Fortune, Rodric set out to write his name in legends.
Always seeking beauty, both in women and in life, Rodric relentlessly pursues glory in the spirit of his Taldan ancestors.

Fortune
Fortune is from a House Lebeda stable in southern Brevoy. The horses here have a reputation of being well-muscled, and are known for their intelligence and willingness to work. Although their exact origins are unknown, the ancestors of the breed have been present in the River Kingdoms for centuries. They were originally bred for use as war horses.
Fortune is a dappled (spotted) Grey stallion with darker gray around the hind quarters and neck up through his head. There is a distinct white star and strip blaze on his face. His tail and mane are primarily black. He also has well defined black stockings ¾ of the way up to the knee.

Fortune is usually equipped with a dark burgundy leather saddle. Studded leather armor and green over white armor-covering blanket.
